Love this channel. Glad you toned it down a little bit with the ham. There's a difference between enthusiasm and magoo lol

I've been wanting to build a mimeoplasm deck ever since I got the Prime Slime Secret Lair 😊

haha, same! I knew I needed the bundle because of great Barge art, but I haven't built anything with it yet.

This is pretty interesting, I've had a build of Mimeo for quite a long time and the cycling thing seems pretty rad. One pretty cool tech I've found is with Thought Gorger, pitch your hand, and when Gorger dies, you draw cards equal to the number of +1 counters on it. My deck ended up becoming some really fast combo deck with fast dredge and mana to get Mimeo out ASAP.

Just got done building this deck. watched your deck doctor among other videos and resources. On my first trial run it was able to kill 3 opponents on turn 4... Ridiculous!! lol Definitely a little on the spikey side.

I had to pause the vid and echo this... Stankweed Imp. Awesome. Put some stank on it.

This is exactly the type of high powered jank that I love playing (and playing against). It sets you up for powerful moves, but nothing is unfair. Great video too, you definitely have a stage presence and I really appreciate how you explain the cards' purposes (such as flavor picks, power level picks, budget picks, etc.). Not sure if I'm dumb or ignorant, but a lot of times I can't exactly tell why certain RUclipsrs put some cards over others in decks, but you really were able to tell a story here!

My favorite card to use in my Mimeoplasm deck is Tunnel Vision. 90% of the time it leaves half of my deck in my graveyard and Lightning Greaves on top.

Already loving it from the commander! Keep the good content coming, guys!
Edit: lumberknot works really well with Jarad as well. It can sit on the battlefield, getting huge, then Jarad can just come down and win. I've done it and it's fun.

I always love your deck techs! Mimeoplasm is next to Animar my favorite Commander. I build my very first graveyard Deck with this awesome blob. I am so happy to see another deck tech for it in 2020. Loved your Hapatra Deck tech as well! #longlivephyrexia 🤘🏼😈🤘🏼

Love the fact you have Ivan Ooze from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie (The first one) in the thumbnail

I've built a thematic Mimeoplasm deck based around The Thing (the movie).
    There's:
    • subtle snow theme
    • when my creatures die they do all sorts of stuff
    • every removal results in tokens being created (creatures 'pop out' of things, much like The Thing)
    • There's a small evolution theme here with cards like Fleshwrither, Birthing Pod, Eldritch Evolution, etc
    It's a flavorful deck and it's very surprising! :D

I love the deck youve outlined. I think you should also mention Death's Shadow, that card is hyper efficient for Mimsy

I got the Secret Lair and started brewing an ooze/slime theme. The deck was not good. Then I adjusted a bit to function and it was very thematic, but not great. Then I decided to take all of my most expensive cards and shove them in, sucking "fuck it" to the all-ooze theme, and now it's my favorite deck. The Nissa you chose was the only walker I put in too, it's very easy to get to that -5 in Sultai in a single turn. If you have the budget for it, True-Name Nemesis is a great card because then your Mimeoplasm has protection from a player, and Massacre Girl is decent body that gives you menace and can become a board wipe, and at least if not a full one, can clear weaker tokens and put small things for the Mimeoplasm into graveyards. Uro is great too since he gives you 6 +1/+1' counters, life gain, card draw, and ramp. Phyrexian Metamorph can become anything on the battlefield when Plasm'd.
I definitely just put in the two cycling Godzilla cards; I never thought about that. It's hard cutting stuff from a deck I already think is perfect.

LOL I recently just bought the Secret Lair Slime Mimeoplasm, perfect timing.
Brokko, Volrath, Mimeoplasm are such fun adaptable Sultai commanders
My Scarab God deck, LOL, will Traumatize/Peer into the abyss to self mill and than Living Death or Empty the Pits for the win. #TaintedStrike :P

I particularly love your attempt to make the ramp side of the deck less busted. Green has gotten way too powerful and I find myself either playing it less and less or purposely playing less optimal cards for it. It feels...cheap? Unearned? To have such a huge natural advantage over nongreen decks, it started killing the fun of it a little bit for me.

    • @OneMoreMana
      @OneMoreMana  3 года назад +1

As someone that has loved playing green it's been fun trying to find new, fun ways to play it. It's why I love Titania so much since sacrificing lands becomes just as important as getting them out.

@@OneMoreMana Same here! I've been a simic mage since I got into the game 7+ years ago, so trying to find new ways to play these colors without doing the increasingly busted things they do has been a fun challenge.
I've actually just finished making a Mimeoplasm list recently for the same reason! This dope ass Secret Lair. I'm loving looking at how widely different the lists can be and taking notes on yours. How do you feel about Shefet Monitor? I included it for a similar reason to Titanoth, except it (very expensively) ramps you a little too?
