Imo that´s a partial pec major tear. Clinical presentation: Bruising where the tendon connects on the humerus, pain with horizontal adduction and internal rotation, pain when the muscle is stretched out in flexion/abduction, palpation along the clavicular portion of the muscle hurts, Subscap might be affected too but imo its mainly a pec tear. Ultrasound or MRI will confirm this. 6 weeks for the scar tissue to heal, 3 months before he´s back on track again. / Staffan

My doc misdiagnosed a full pec major tendon tear. He said it was a strain. I couldn’t do a push up and was attempting to break the bench press record for WA state. Saw an orthopedic surgeon, he said I most likely tore it off. MRI confirmed.
Nice to see Travis go through this. MRI helps a lot.
You can pull through after correct diagnosing and healing. I’m benching again after 9 months but it was a hear and a half before I started going heavy again. Thankfully for Travis a strain vs tearing off a tendon is better

Ouch, I can see exactly what the Doc is trying here and judging from Travis' reaction it might be a rotator cuff injury. I had the same thing and it took 1 year to recover. Avoid surgery at all costs. The trouble is it's your arm and unless it's in a sling, doing nothing, you're going to agitate it. Driving a car, putting a seat belt on, lifting up pots and pans and washing your back (as we see) are all day to day things that agitate it. Even lying down on a bed can be painful. Anyway, I wish Travis all the best and I'm sure he'll be in good hands.

I'm just finding this channel, so forgive the stupid questions...but this assessment and filming occurred in the US, correct? Ryan is in Australia...correct? Did Ryan fly to the US to accompany Travis to a dr appt to film it for his channel? That is mind-boggling. Almost as mind-boggling as the likelihood Ryan would just happen to be in the US when Travis hurt himself. Or perhaps Ryan was in the US for a competition where Travis injured himself. Or perhaps I'm over thinking all this and it really doesn't matter! lol

Interesting to see the terms of this match.....I'm guessing it will be local for Matt for the reasons you stated, but with a PAL ref.......There are problems with both formats....WAL lets the wrestlers cheat a bit, and PAL lets the ref cheat a bit. I can't count how many times a ref would call every 1/2 inch millisecond elbow reposition on one party, yet ignore the ones for the other party. With video it's even more obvious.....as you can see all the refs focusing on ONE guy, and no one is watching the other one.

Everything leads you to believe you are bullet proof, until that one day, when a tiny tear proves you were wrong. After that? A painful reminder that lasts months if not years.

I also went to a doctor and had my hand checked,as the doctor was checking my hand he said you should stop masterbating, and i said "why? It has nothing to do with that?! Why should i stop masterbating?" And the doctor replied " because i'm still checking your hand, pervert!"

Not an expert, but it looks to me that armwrestlers are very prone to impingement syndrom. They train all the muscles that pull the shoulder forward (pecs, front delts). The sound he described looks like a torn muscle. Sounds like tearing an old washcloth. I like to watch armwrestling, but the risk of injury is too big to start myself.

The Doctor must be a nurse in disguise, he didn't seem to have a clue or even want to touch and feel the problem..??? Most would be like lets see and turm and feel for themselves.. Just seemed strange.. No wonder its a walk up either get coffee or a Brith test done kinda place.. Id went to a really doctor old enough to have a drink. Not fresh out school..
