Very underrated indeed. There used to be a hovergraft that would go from England to France but was withdrawn years ago. One of them is now at a hovercraft museum in Lee on the solent. Yes from Southsea to Ryde on the Isle of Wight, an island off the south coast of England. I believe it’s only commercial hovercraft passenger operating service in the world, although I’m not 100%.
