@@zandel_zandel We don't do well in olympics because we don't have infrastructure for most of those sports yet.
And unlike Europeans and Americans, Indians don't look at most sports as a career. The first priority in India is to put the food on the table and playing some sports is not seen as an assuring way to do that. But things are changing and changing fast.
And when we get the desire to really win the top place in something, we build the infrastructure and then we really achieve it.
      Look at cricket.
And now for the things that don't need infrastructure, look at Chess. In fact we invented it.
We have Vishwanathan Anand as the five time world champion and we already have Gukesh as the youngest world chess championship Challenger in history and chances of him becoming the next world champion in December and the youngest one at that are looking great.
Now, I don't want to belittle you cause that's not in our nature but since you taunted a whole country for it's shortcomings at something, you need to be given a lesson.
So, let me ask you how many world chess champions has your country produced. 😂
Does your country even have a single grandmaster? 🥴
And don't tell me that you are from Russia and therefore you have so many world champions. 😒
Cause you can't be from Russia, your selection of words tells it. 🤔
You probably are some spoiled brat living in your parents' basement in some high income per capita country with your belly full and mind empty. 🙂
Judging by your words, if I were to guess your country, I would say it's 99% Germany.

Why Hikaru Nakamura and Hans Niemann are not members of their national team? One remark is that the four player that played today for the USA national team were members of different national teams in the start or their career. Caruana for Italy, So for Phillipines, Dominnguez for Cuba and Aronian for Armenia.
