Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, [No] this was not a structure fire, this appears to have been a small rubbish fire close to a commercial building which burnt a small portion of the paint off the outside metal walls of the building and nothing more. Unbelievably, a ladder truck arrives 5 minutes after the Forestry Service had already extinguished the fire, but the Ladder Company still reports it as being a working fire and raises the ladder bucket and still more unbelievably, they still have 3 engine companies reporting to the fire grounds as well with sirens and emergency lights, the first engine company even hooks to a nearby hydrant and charges the supply line, unbelievable, simply unbelievable.

This is also not a "pre arrival" video.

I was pre arrival to the local fire department yes. Forestry is a government entity and this is a township with a volunteer fire company. This was considered a structure fire due to the building actually catching on fire due to the rubbish.

you have no idea what’s going on. that’s evident by your other comment on this channel as well- nobody likes an armchair quarterback especially when you have 0 clue what you’re talking about. why wouldn’t you charge a supply line? it’s common sense for a fire with possible extension. not doing so would be laziness.

Fire is a rubbish pile fire damage to the siding flames burning the paint off the structures siding and possibly getting under the siding and into the wall. Firefighters will not know with certainty until they open up the wall and see. Now the videographer was there and in his comment he states that the building did catch and the fire had to be extinguished. Disagreeing with a person who was actually there is not wise. As for the size of the response large commercial structure apparatus 1 tower ladder 1 rescue 1 engine and 1 ladder+ NJ forest service brush trucks X2. Even though the fire had minor involvement as far as the structure goes the potential for a far larger fire was very real. What is unbelievable is your comment criticizing the department for exercising a large degree of caution in ensuring that they will not have to return in another few hours to a catastrophic fire because of a reignition The response times are good for a volunteer fire brigade and the second ladder arriving later is a mutual aid response from East Dover My qualifications NFPA Level 1 firefighter I was working on a volunteer brigade. Now a Question if you were the business owner which would you prefer, a small under prepared response to the fire or what you saw a larger response which allows for immediate action if the fire become uncontrollable for a couple of forest service brush trucks and an engine from Toms River? Here is a video of some fires and myself in my bunker gear. ruclips.net/video/Xb96ceUHmOU/видео.html

So NJ Forestry shows up and quickly puts out the rubbish fire next to the woods to prevent another big forest fire. Those guys have been earning their money the last month with all the forest fires statewide. Nice work NJFFS!!

Tom's River FD don't take kindly to fire. They sent plenty of equipment in case there was any fire behind the steel panels. 👍👍

Building owner got lucky that the forest services out on patrol. Due to the increased number of forest fires throughout the northeast. It doesn't matter how you get water on the fire as long as you're getting it.

That's NJ forest fire service. All there trucks are designated as a quick attack. Drive right into the woods with a crew man on back to operate the Nozzle. If it works why change it.
