    My hvac needs freon and is basically useless except around 12 a.m when the temp outside is in the 70s. Got home this afternoon, and it was 88 in the house 😂 won't be able to get a guy out till next week, so I ran out to get this bad boy. It was the only option on the shelf. I watched this because I have metal framed windows, and there's no real way to screw it down without drilling into the metal, which I don't want to do. Was hoping to find someone with the same problem. Your video wasn't what I needed, but your personality and funny pwrsona were what I needed. Thanks man

    Just got this baby right before my Walmart closed tonight! Our A/C went out a few hours ago. Repairman cannot get us in until next week! Hoping this makes it somewhat bearable! I could not justify shelling out $400-$500 for a 12,000-14,000 BTU! Hoping this does the job as a temporary fix. Your review definitely helped me decide! Sending you much appreciation from southern Virginia! Keep it up brother!

    I just bought the midea 10,000 btu with Wi-Fi connection to my Galaxy s24 plus, and i love that i can turn it on as soon as i leave work, so by the time I get home the house is nice and cool, and i can set the temperature from my cellphone. Best purchase I've done in a long time.

    Hi. Anna from Philly. Bought the same model. Having the same issues with the filter. Why on earth would anyone produce air conditioner with non removable filter?! Chinese challenging us Americans to problem solving? Maybe.
    Thank you so much for your video. I’m a woman and having spinal issues force me to look up a video on how to clean this non removable filter. Lol. In all seriousness, your advice worked right away.
    Honestly speaking, I wasn’t the one who chose this particular design and it should have been made clearer on the packaging that it had such non reasonable filter. As for how it works? So so.
    Previously, I had 8000 BTU. This model is 5000 BTU. Old model was American FRIGIDAIRE and we had it for over 12 years. It worked amazingly until I stopped removing out of my window and I had gotten as of last year only, black tar mold. I had to purchase a new air conditioner. The model we had previously today is $400 and more. It will work extremely well and it was most definitely worth the money. My hopes are that this Midea Air Conditioner will work just as well. Here, in Philly we had non stop heat wave for close to 6 weeks. No rain! Extreme heat and humidity as in most countries all over the world. During a 125 degree heat, this air conditioner worked but barely. I felt like it wasn’t the same quality of performance as our previous Frigidaire model. There is definitely a difference when you are experiencing 100 degrees weather: between 5000 BTU or 8000 BTU. So to anyone out-there who lives where is super hot, consider spending more $. You will need 8000 BTU. Or your 5000 BTU unit will be running non stop at 64 degrees whether it’s 110 degrees outside or 85 in F. MIDEA please change the design (filter) or tell people before they install this air conditioner in their windows that they have to unscrew both screws on both sides of your unit (to the side of the frame, on the very bottom). Thank you Midea.
    And thank you brother for your video.
    Hopefully, this helps someone.
    - Anna S.

      The only only thing eco does is shut off the a/c when it reaches the desired temperature in your room when your room gets warm it will turn back on to bring the temperature down. It will blow its coldest regardless of what setting . If your room does not cool below your desired setting it will constantly run and keep throwing cold air probably at 32 to 34 degrees not matter if eco is on or off.

      This unit appears to feature a water catch trough where the outside fan blows room condensate out of the pan onto the outside finstack to use the evaporation cooling effect to boost cooling capabilities. How do you make the water drain?

    • @EatingGoodWithRickandJerre
      @EatingGoodWithRickandJerre  4 месяца назад

      The water won’t drain , the A/C will use the water that collects in the back of the unit. How? Well it hits the fan blade in the rear and splash the water on the condenser (aluminum coil) to bring the temp down making the ac run cooler.
