- We had tornado warnings last night and I had Max's carrier ready in case we had to go to the basement. Today he walks in the living room and sees it. He then had to tell me about it.

He really sounds like an alien trapped in a fluffy pink cockatoo, constantly swearing because of his failed reincarnation. Though he has encountered a way of mind controlling us... cuteness overload!
Vive la differance. My cockatiel just loves to go in her carrier--she seems to think it's a nesting box and makes little peepy sounds. Can't let her stay in there too long or she'll get broody and lay some eggs. Max, on the other hand, seems to think he's going to be executed if he gets in there.

I love ♥ Max's radio voice! Don't know what he is saying, but it hilarious to hear him respond to Dan in his radio voice! Very good tip here too - have your carrier ready to go in case of a tornado weather.

How many of us, owners of any pet, would like to know what they want, need or how they feel about something. It's a miracle that he doesn't need a special way to communicate with Dan. There is no sign language or communication or writing devices as has been researched with other animals for many years. Just his beautiful voice telling Dan what is happening to him, giving clues to help him. It is amazing! Nature always surprises us.

Your bird is so gorgeous. Is he actually talking because if he is, I can't understand anything he says. It just sounds like gibberish. But I love him. Especially his temper tantrum when you need to put him into his carrier. He cracks me up when he flaps his wings and stomps his feet. Just like a bratty child. Too cute.
