Good morning Matt and Katie. So it looks like that new fridge would run about 2 days on that battery. Then you charge the battery with a generator right? I'm still trying to figure that stuff out 😂
If the compressor ran full time it would take about 2 days till empty but when it is to temp the compressor turns off and doesn’t use power. Ultimately if we were only charging the fridge we would probably get about a week and a half to two weeks without needing to charge. Currently I charge our Goal Zero battery bank once a week with the generator as we haven’t set up solar panels yet. It lasts all week charging phones, laptop, camera batteries, lights, and running the fridge. It’s actually quite an efficient fridge! The battery bank we have has been awesome for our needs!
… as a follow up, I filmed the video 3 days ago and our GZ battery was at 70%. As I type this the battery is still at 63% and that was running the fridge, and charging phones every day
That's a pretty slick gizmo! As retirement nears, one of their smaller offerings would be great for our minivan. I'm celiac, so the usual snacks and such that get packed for long vehicle trips are more or less poisonous for me. Having an option that is non-toxic would be great. Thanks for the update/review.
Oh yes, that would be great! The nice thing too for these is you could plug them into a car port to run while your vehicle alternator is running, not necessarily needing a power system until the vehicle is off. And it’s great that the space isn’t taken up by ice like in a cooler, same size ultimately gives you more space than a cooler. And less trips to the convenience store. Let me know if you ever have questions on them. Glad it was a video you found useful!
That is a great fridge, Matt!! Not sure I need one that big but perhaps the smaller one would work if needed. You have always only sponsored great products. The first bit of advice I took from you was getting the Moon shade awning for my van. Best. Purchase. Ever!! 😊
We still love our MoonShade too! They are great! I hate the channels that just push products to push them. We don’t want to be that but I’m sure there will be some people that don’t like a video like this. ICECO does have some smaller fridges, even smaller than the 45 we have for the van. We have been impressed so far with their products as I have experience with other 12v fridges that do pull a lot more energy.
If you’re looking for a fridge for off-grid living, overlanding, van life, or other alternative living situations, I can highly recommend ICECO! Let me know if you have any questions with a comment!

May I have to look into one of those? When I get my camp
Great option for sure! If you ever have questions, let me know!
