I have the same one in and honestly it's the best I've seen on the market for that price. Even just for an automatic chronograph it's excellent value.
The best Review I have seen of this Homage watch so far!!! The fit and finish is very commendable taking into consideration the price point of this watch. And those Timing Measurements look FANTASTIC!!!!! Having a watch to have 0.0 Beat Error Rate means that this movement is perfectly poised, at least to one position!!!! My 1990 Daytona with a Detuned El Primero movement has a 0.1 BE, and was originally about 10X this price!!!! And those values for the rate, amplitude and Lift Angle are almost exclusively seen in Real Chronometer Rated watches!!!! This Chinese company appears to have gotten a perfect measurement of how to copy an excellent movement like the 7753!!!! And you just showed how good it is working!!! Well, I just ordered mine for just 500.00 USD!!! And as soon as I get this watch, I will erase that "Top Chronometer" line in the dial, and leave Sugess and Automatic!!!! Yes, this is the best Chrono for the money, even better than the Pitzman # 3 with the Seiko SN88 caliber, and that is an excellent watch too!!!!
Now, I hope this Chinese company to do a replica of the Lemania 2310/Omega 321 movement, and for Sugess to make a Real Homage of the Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch that went to the moon with this movement inside!!!! This company and Seagull already make an excellent copy of the Venus 178 movement- known as ST1902, And to Sugess put into the dial just "Sugess" and Moon Professional" That would really be the Crown to my Homage Watch collection!!!!! Rolex and Omega have now real competitors, specially for Rolex that charges excessive amounts for its Daytona!!!
The build quality looks really good, including the movement but I have to agree with you that Sugess should lose the "Top Chronometer" on the dial, it's extra text just for the sake of having extra text. Nice job with the review, cheers!
The whirring of the Rotor is caused simply from the fact that the winding mechanism of the automatic winder is unidirectional, just like in the original Valjoux/ETA 7750 was and is.
The Rotor thus rotates freely in the non-winding direction. That's normal and typical for the type of winding mechanism. A feature, not a fault. 😇
I’ve had this watch for 3 days and the top left subdial doesn’t align. When I reset it it goes to the 1 position.
Sugess just issue a new verson of Daytona homage, with column wheel movement and new Rolex style bezel. Please check and review!
Where?
I’m about to buy one of these. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it and I’ve seen several reviews with good time graph results, it appears more accurate than some of my valjoux 7750’s.
Looks very nice actually. I don’t like the font used or the polished centre links. Other than that it gets an Aussie 👍🏼
Thank you for the review. Ordered mine. It takes about 3 months to get here in Sri Lanka.
The Aliexpress website says the case thickness is 12.5mm, but actually 13.6mm?
Looks good
Crazy price for anything that looks like a 7750, with those timegrapher stats.
I like it, but I'm also liking my pagani design version too ...
This is 353 euro via the affiliate link
Compared to 453 euro directly on the app

Good review. I just got mine in from the company direct. Talked to them on WhatsApp, really great people. Ordered the black bezel, have to ask I measured the case after viewing this it’s 12.5. Talked to them they sent me the V2 version of the watch which is smaller. They said design of wording is changing in V3. The text on black bezel is smoother from what I see. Is the review unit you have the V1 version?
Hi, how’s your watch holding up?
Best homage oft the Daytona, but I love your pronauncing. Watch, it sounds like wootsh... in my german language wuuutsch... it sounds funny. Best regars from Austria!
I bought this watch after reading your review and I am glad I did! I already had a black-faced Pagani Daytona homage, but I just love mechanical watches. A question though - it claims 100 metre water resistance, but somehow that translates to 'OK for swimming'. Why do the manufacturers make such impressive claims if they are not matched by true performance - 100 metres is deep diving depth!
I realize this comment is almost a year old but, assuming there's no funny business from the manufacturer...100m is a measure of pressure at depth. When being worn there are other forces at work (like you arm moving in the water). This means 100m worth of pressure doesn't mean you can functionally take it to 100m.
If I may say the term 100meter w.r. is for the pressure the watch can hold. The deeper you dive, the more resistance pressure in "meters" is already twice the dept. Same as you go in mountains hiking the higher you go, let say 5 meter the pressure is more than ~10 meter w.r. on your watch. You are welcome.
100 meter is for swimming. if you're diving, i suggest min. of 200m WR, it applies to Swiss-made brands too.
This watch is claiming to be basically Water Resistance, not to be a Diver's watch. For it to be a Diver's watch, it has to be ISO 6425-certified, and this watch doesn't claim that, so its basic claim is perfectly accepted, giving you a watch that is very well protected.
I love everything about this. And the three lines of text doesn't bother me. However, the font choice is weird; it looks too cartoonish & casual for this type of watch.
Agani is like a hit or miss..good watches but soso quality control..70% hit 30% miss from what i have read in past comments about this watch. Great video dude !
Just got mine in the mail. Nice watch, but the band adjustment is hard to figure out, and there's a large gap between
the clasp and the band. I wish they used the glide adjustment band.
That was a great review.
There's a lot to be said for retro homages. I could never bring myself to wear a current model Rolex homage but a retro I could. I could even wear a current model Seiko Homage possibly, but not a Rolex.
That said, I ask how do they come up with these ridiculous names?
FOD (fod really), Sugess (pronounced Sujess it sounds like a medieval phlegm imbalance), Merkur (an antiseptic wipe or a pubic hair wig), Ironwatch (??), Steel Bagelsport (wtf?), Phylida (mmmm?), Parnis (lol), Seestern (cistern).
I mean the watches might be fantastic value for money, well made and look really good but I can tell you I have reservations about any of those revolting names being written on the dial of any watch I wear.
I'd get embarrassed if someone noticed and asked me about this watch. This review for example, I truly believe for the price it represents over the top value for money - seriously I really mean that, but then that silly brand name combined with the even more silly 'Top Chronometer'.
Could they not develop a corporate logo that isn't an effeminate unicorn or dolphin and put an applied logo on the dial and engrave the case back with the movement type or put a display case back?
The thing with a Rolex that Chinese manufacturers often completely miss is they're understated. Alright the Daytona is not so understated but it is designed to be perfunctory and therefore is masculine because of its racing heritage but still restrained in the Rolex style.
Doesn't change the fact I love the look of the Sugess - it is a boody nice looking watch with a great movement but my medieval humours are in balance so my sujess doesn't need a leech at the moment.
Hello, how is he watch behaving after 5 months?
I knew nothing about watches 2 weeks ago and saw the Lige Homage watches so bought one because it looked good. It arrived I set the time and wore it and it has been fine so far. Then I found these videos, the first video told me how great the Pagani watches are so I ordered one (Still waiting for it to arrive) and Got it for a bargain at $80AUD for the Daytona Panda. But since then I have seen all of these videos of all of these other homage watches and now I am thinking it really doesn't matter. I got a Lige Submariner through Temu and the strap was broken but was an easy fix but it only cost me about $25 for the blue and gold. It looks nice but the bracelet aside from being broken is very loose (Which might be why the pin fell out).
I am wondering if these homage watches quality is determined by which watch you get and from where rather than because they are a Lige or Pagani etc. Because the 2 Liges I have are different in quality, mainly the strap fit. But both keep the time perfectly so far. Which is really all a watch is for aside from the aesthetics.
bought the one that says sugess automatic chronometer on the timegrapher 0 +1 second a day great quality watch
Should also now make day/date or date/month as this 7750 caliber originally allows it.
Great job with homage but lets make it more practical with not just time keeping but day n date too.
I’m going to have to stop watching your channel, your reviews are too good! Every time I watch one I end up adding that watch to my basket. If my wife finds out she will take my phone away!
Lol 😁 Thank you for watching! 😁👍
this one or ssc813?
Love the look of the bezel! Great review 💪
Great review, as per usual! Watch looks awesome. Who would still want a MoonSwatch?
so pagani daytona panda or Sugess its better?
Depends 🙂 both are done using Stainless steel, Sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel. However, if you are after the looks only - PD is a great option especially that it can be found for around $40 or even cheaper, however if you want the experience as close to the real deal as possible then Sugess is the best option. Mind you it is 10 times more expensive and you might actually not like the experience 😁 - be careful what you wish for 😁 hope this helps! 🙂👍
They seem to have overhauled this model since the video was shot. The movement they now show on their website doesn't look anything like a 7750 or like the one in your example - and they also claim it has 41 jewels (7750 should have 25). They also claim an overall height of only 12.5mm and I did find some folks suggesting that they are now using cases and movements that are also used in super clones (not sure if that's accurate though). The most obvious external difference is a slight change in the dial design: The 12oc marker is now an inverted triangle (similar to what you'd see on a Submariner) and the third line of text now only says "Chronograph".
41 jewels seems like a big upgrade.. now, I'm tempted..
How did u find out about the movement factory??
Funny enough, I was born in the city, and I approve ur pronounciation
Would like to see it on a leather strap. It looks very blingy with all that polish.
It would look great on a leather strap. Or on a NATO.
When I hand wind the watch and push the crown in to tighten in down, the hands still move. Does anyone else have this happen?
that 's a real bargain for the money
Just bout the version 3 with the brown bezel and blue face, aka 'Platinum Daytona'. It arrives today so hoping it looks and works as well as your example.
Sugess just came out with a new version using the Peacock SL-4801 which is a clone of the Rolex movement.
Looks great. The typography on the dial is very poor. Branding needs an overhaul.
just got the v3. this thing is superb. two small gripes.
The crown action on handwinding is stiff and squeaky.
The dial, though beautiful, lacks a logo insert at 12.
Apart from that, it already became one of my favorite wears.
Just don't expect R quality. It is a great watch though.
Thank you for sharing! R is a bit more expensive though 🙂
What direction would one use for a watch winder for this watch> Clockwise, anti-clockwise, both? Thank-you
I looked up the Swiss 7750 and it should be the same. ETA 7750 Direction: CW Rotations: 800 daily.
Why do I get the feeling that San Martin, Cronos, Pagani and Sugess are all made by the same Chinese parent company?
How is it 1 Yr later??
Still just fine. It is quite robust. Wearing it right now btw 🙂 However, it hasn't been getting that much wrist time recently, too many reviews to film and I only have two wrist 🙄🙂 But no plans to sell it on, Sugess did an excellent job, and the only alternative I can find on AE is this Sea-Gull: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Eu2PRdt but it costs twice as much, and as far as I can tell uses the same movement. Hope this helps. 🙂
After seeing your video I will get me one. I would love a Dayton but can't justify the price. This is thousands of percentages cheaper and probably just as good.
What is it about these companies wanting to put waffle on the dial just put chronograph or something. Is this movement a true clone of the 7750?
Next? Sugess GMT? I went to their website just to notice that Top Chronometer doesn't mention Shock Resistance. But GMT does
Helpful review, thank you.
They got rid of the 'top chronometer' now i just chronometer
Sugess told me that the only watches that you can go swimming are their Diver watches and not this one.
Considering the movement is only $89 dollars for a Chinese watch it is way over priced.
A display caseback with all brushed bracelet and i would have bought it right away
please review the cornos submariner l6005!! thanks
But this price..I think thats not worth it
I've been thinking about getting this watch, but it now sells for $448
Seems to be a v2
Very comprehensive review, and can't disagree with a word of it. Just one point though, on your timegrapher, should the lift angle be 49 degrees for a 7753-type movement, not 52?
The Lift Angle is normally between 48-54 degrees. And the purpose of measuring it is to check how well the movement have been designed and built regarding the entry and exit of the pin jewel. Each company determines that accordingly to its manufacturing capabilities. In this case, Liaoning was able to provide a good mix of ER, LA, Amplitude and Daily rate that compares very well with the best out there, so the lift angle difference is not that much of a concern as long as it is within range and the rest works with minimal stress, and only applies to the Swiss lever design, not to the Co-Axial or the AP escapements. That LA is only the measurement of the angle at which the pin enters and exits the anchor. Some makers do it smaller, some other make it larger, but within this range that is the optimal to avoid over banking or locking, or both. So be more concerned about this movement performing to its best, not which are the original individual parameters given by ETA/Valjoux. Hope this helps.
Have you tried watches from seiko, that are similar to the daytona? Talking about the SSC813 or SSC911p1
Seiko Daytona runs on Solar and not Automatic Movement.
I was ready to order a Grevil Chrono......until now.
Great review, thanks
It seems the bottom is pressed not screwed ... isn´t it?
It is a screwed on back case. Can be removed either with the special spanner or a watch case open friction ball. I used the ball - much cheaper option :-) Thanks for watching 🙂👍
Great review 😎👍
Thanks! 👍
Got mine for $350 tax and shipping.
I'm going to order one tonight the white dial looks like the one for me......I have been thinking all day black or white........but the white dial wins 🏆
Its safe to use debit with aliexpress ?
What's with the 12 hour subdial? Totally useless. A deal breaker for me
Just better to buy an original Rolex Daytona
700 usd clone..a bit expensive
Just checked, it is $406. Used to be $360sh. Looks like they did some upgrades to justify that. Still, very hard to find an automatic Chronograph of the similar quality even for the same price. So a tough one for a hard core fans of this style of watch 🙂 Of course there are tons of other great options if you don't care about Daytona like looks. Thanks for watching! 🙂👍
Thanks and would you say this is a better watch than san Martin's panda?
@jorgeshss I would say it is different to SM panda. In terms of built quality they are on par, however this Sugess has an automatic Chronograph movement (SL4801 (Dandong Peacock)) while San Martin went for a manual wind ST19 (Sea-Gull), hence it is about $100 cheaper than Sugess, which makes sense. Furthermore, the Peacock movements are actually quite decent. What is even more surprising, is that Sea-Gull, despite being one of the world largest movement manufacture, uses this movement in their $780 'SEATONA' (😁) chronograph (seagull chronograph model 1108) - here: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DEPaCsp Hope this helps.
Wow this is very revealing!! Thanks for sharing
Over $1000 no thanks
I like it, but would prefer a jubilee bracelet.
Why on earth would anyone buy this not elegant Daytona homage. The bezel is too large; the sub dial black rings are also too large; it does not look good IMO. Given the Pagani version costs 230 dollars less and looks better why bother albeit Pagani has a VK quartz movement; Pagani simply looks nicer.
Not to mention the dodgy smudged writing on the dial
Note I accept the Sugess may be more faithful to the original though I still think the Pagani looks better.
I would rather buy an Orient Mako 3, better quality and cheaper price.
Вот ни хкра не понят, что говорит этот гражданин.
I love everything about this. And the three lines of text doesn't bother me. However, the font choice is weird; it looks too cartoonish & casual for this type of watch.
