      Depending on the state, it’s a simple process, just go into the DLD, take their test and pay a fee. From what I’ve been told, In utah you can do that within like 60 days of your first test. Only reason I knew to get it was my recruiter drilled into my head exactly what I needed before 🤷🏼‍♂️

      @@Favor2025 orientation is 4-5 days depending on size of class and how fast all the paperwork, computer training and “clearing” takes. For me, it was 4 days. Then psd starts with 3-4 days of simulator training and in office training, then out to the driving pad until you test. I was done with orientation and psd in 4 weeks. For some it’s much longer. The group in front of mine did their testing week 5 and 6.

      In cab is required for all, then you get the other sections at random. Some only have to do one area of the outside but others get picked for the whole thing. So it’s smart just to memorize it all.

    • @zrhaun
      @zrhaun  2 года назад

      It’s a bit of both. Classroom instruction is group based and on the pad, they explain it to the group what to do, but then the instructor gives full attention to whoever is behind the wheel doing the maneuvers. There is also the possibility of getting picked to do psd over the road. That’s definitely one on one but not everyone gets picked. I was not and did all my psd time on the training pad.

      @zrhaun  Год назад

      You get out in a hotel at no cost to you during psd training. During tnt training you are on the road full time with your trainer.
      You need to have your permit before coming to prime. during psd training, they help you pass the test to obtain your full cdl license. That part of training can be 3-6 weeks depending on how well you do the maneuvers. Then they will test you for your license. Once you have your cdl, you go onto tnt training which can take 2-6 months.
      Yes you can choose between refrigerator, flatbed or tanker. Once with the company for 6 months you can switch to intermodal as well.
      You can request certain regions to run or elect all lower 48 states.
      When you talk to the recruiter, make sure you use my driver referral code “HAUZRK” 😉
      Hope to see you around!!

    Do you get paid the 900 during orientation or after orientation?

    • @zrhaun
      @zrhaun  2 года назад +3

      No pay for the 2-4 days of orientation and During your psd phase you get a $200 ADVANCE each week to pay for food that will be taken out at $25 a paycheck. (If you don’t use it, it doesn’t count against you and you don’t owe back what you don’t take). You are NOT an employee of prime until after you pass psd and have your cdl. Think of it as a really long job interview.
      once you are an employee (after you pass the cdl test). Once an employee and on the tnt phase you get paid a guaranteed $900 a week until completed.
      So to recap:
      orientation =$0
      Psd = $200 advance to be paid back
      Tnt = $900 paycheck before taxes.

    • @zrhaun
      @zrhaun  2 года назад +1

      @@d_smoove1204 they are technically shared rooms. It can be with a student or a driver. They just fill the rooms for prime and it gets mixed all the time. For my time there I had 2 roommates and a week and a half alone. Also, don’t get comfortable in the rooms, they can move you to another room at any time to fill empty spots to keep prime happy for not having to pay for half empty rooms.
