I passed my CLP today then went to sign up for Prime and saw the required tanker endorsement 😂 guess I should've looked into them sooner so I could've just added it today.
Depending on the state, it’s a simple process, just go into the DLD, take their test and pay a fee. From what I’ve been told, In utah you can do that within like 60 days of your first test. Only reason I knew to get it was my recruiter drilled into my head exactly what I needed before 🤷🏼♂️
For me, everything was rapid fire as I was trying to get into the next class that started a few days after my approval, but I’ve talked to people who said it took days, weeks and even months. I would reach out to your recruiter and ask. If you can’t get an answer from them, call the main recruiting line and just talk to anyone, they all will have access to your status.
I’m still in the training phase so I don’t have my own truck yet. If you go company then all that’s paid for and they provide the truck. If you go lease, it’s whatever terms and agreement that you agree too.
@@Favor2025 orientation is 4-5 days depending on size of class and how fast all the paperwork, computer training and “clearing” takes. For me, it was 4 days. Then psd starts with 3-4 days of simulator training and in office training, then out to the driving pad until you test. I was done with orientation and psd in 4 weeks. For some it’s much longer. The group in front of mine did their testing week 5 and 6.
In cab is required for all, then you get the other sections at random. Some only have to do one area of the outside but others get picked for the whole thing. So it’s smart just to memorize it all.
At first you do company to learn your routes cause your responsible paying your own fuel if you miss your exit. And second even if you take home $2500 after truck and insurance payment that $2500 you be taxed on that and you may be around company net pay $1100 or $1300.
I'm w/Prime Inc. doing a lease owner operator loving it! Making average $3,200 a Week for the past 8 months. Working on lowering my log violations to 25 log violations so I can become a TNT trainer at the Pittston, PA terminal so I can train a friend who is like my brother to make that Team driving money 💰 🤑. Hope the best for you. It is worth it to consider going lease right after you finish your TNT training!
I’d say most likely net. Most drivers I talk to average 5k-6k gross and take home net is around 2500-3k so if running right $3200 is very doable but I could be wrong 🤷🏼♂️
When your in your psd phase? Are you in a group learning or your one on one with the trainer? I’m interested in prime but I’m wondering if you get 1 on 1 with the trainer instead of the group
It’s a bit of both. Classroom instruction is group based and on the pad, they explain it to the group what to do, but then the instructor gives full attention to whoever is behind the wheel doing the maneuvers. There is also the possibility of getting picked to do psd over the road. That’s definitely one on one but not everyone gets picked. I was not and did all my psd time on the training pad.
Do they use urine or hair strain? I’m clean but I had a Medical card 5 months ago and I stop smoking but some use hair and I want pass that until 8-9months
I’m not 100% on that. Contact your local drivers license division or contact a dot medical examiner and they would be able to answer that. Sorry I couldn’t help 😒

You get out in a hotel at no cost to you during psd training. During tnt training you are on the road full time with your trainer. You need to have your permit before coming to prime. during psd training, they help you pass the test to obtain your full cdl license. That part of training can be 3-6 weeks depending on how well you do the maneuvers. Then they will test you for your license. Once you have your cdl, you go onto tnt training which can take 2-6 months. Yes you can choose between refrigerator, flatbed or tanker. Once with the company for 6 months you can switch to intermodal as well. You can request certain regions to run or elect all lower 48 states. When you talk to the recruiter, make sure you use my driver referral code “HAUZRK” 😉 Hope to see you around!!
Generally just urine. I’ve heard of them doing follicles in the past but because it shows a longer history they were turning away a bunch of people who’ve done drugs in the past but no longer consume.
