Our Class A CDL training program gives you real-world experience and prepares you for anything that could happen on the road. New classes start every week. You pay NOTHING (used to be $100 but the fee has been removed as of May 2021) to join and nothing else as long as you drive for Prime Inc. with your CDL for one year.
Prime will pay for your transportation to our Springfield, MO; Pittston, PA; or Salt Lake City, UT location to start your orientation. Experience hands-on, computer-based, and simulator training before you get behind the wheel.
Work 1-on-1 with an instructor while you learn how to drive a semi truck. You’ll get practice with the necessary components of your CDL exam along with experience hauling freight.
Once your training is finished, you’ll return to your training center to take your state CDL exam. Those who pass on their first try will receive a $250 bonus.
After you pass your CDL exam, you’ll continue to train with a trainer for 30,000 miles. Get experience hauling loads across the country while receiving a guaranteed minimum payment of $900 per week. Guarantee pay is earned as long as you are available for dispatch. *NOTE=Prime reduced the training mileage for upgrade for this program from 50k to 30k in March 2021. We increased the training guarantee from $700 to $900 in June 2021.
Once your training is completed, you will be eligible for upgrade review. Stay on as a company driver or choose to own your own truck and become an independent contractor. Your options are limitless.

There are a couple of great changes since we posted this! There is no longer a $100 deposit to come to orientation. Now it is completely free!! During the TNT phase the new guarantee pay is $900 a week!

I have to say this flat out... I came to Prime and went through the training program in 2015. I was a US Postal Worker for a decade and a half and a published novelist. Not only is Prime a fabulous company with an amazing group of people and in-house staff support, but the stress/hassle free environment is unreal. Not to mention, my insurance benefits as a company driver are better than the Federal Govt Employee benefits... no lie! I love love love Prime ;)

Been solo by myself for about a year now and loving it, racking up safety and on time awards. Great starter company in my opinion especially if you do lease purchase

I was brought up the daughter of a trucker so I kinda know how life is for a driver. I’ve been debating for a while now whether I wanted to drive or not, and finally decided to put an app in the other day. I’m honestly scared, but excited too. Hoping things go well, I can’t wait to see what happens next! You guys sound like a great company!

I am currently talking with Don one of your recruiters. I want to say that he seems like a great employee, very nice man. Also I am waiting for one of my past jobs to get back in touch with you guys, I believe it's the verification people. My question is, will I know before I take the bus to prime rather or not I am approved. I just don't want to get their and be stuck.
So you actually go out on the road after a weeks orientation? Do you just sit passenger and learn? Then come back and take the test?

Im a little upset right now with prime because i was lied to. I spent a bunch of money to come out here to pittston terminal and im being sent home over something i was told was good to go by my recruiter and then get out here and then upper management say no and send me home. I busted my butt to get things in order to come out here and then to be sent home on the first day..

I have a question: late last year I began using THC for arthritis pain. it didn't work as it was supposed to and it's been a couple months since I used any. How long does one need to be totally clean (thinking hair test) before a company will hire you? I can't seem to find an answer online. Thanks!

@@TruckerKearsey thanks for all the great info on truckingtruth kearsey, helped me choose prime (though i haven't left for orientation yet, i was at least approved). i was wondering if u could tell me what the per diem with prime is? i plan to do reefer with a lightweight. also do they increase ur pay after a certain amount of miles, from what i read on truckingtruth it seemed like they do but i wasn't 100% sure
@@Gauss6174 hi and thank you! yes... per diem is 8cpm... this is INCLUDED in your cpm... not in addition. So a lightweight reefer is 42cpm plus 8cpm = 50cpm. PLUS fuel, service, safety bonuses. I have pay stub samples on my channel
@@TruckerKearsey lol thanks for the info, i'm excited to go to the training center in pittson PA and see if it all works out. During my research, i was diappointed to learn they increased the tnt phase this year to 50k (and i think none of the driving u do before testing for ur cdl counts towards the 50k), not too excited to be stuck in a truck for a longer period of time but i'll prob just shutup and use the time to learn whatever i can before eventually getting a lightweight. hope ur cat is doing well
I don’t get it, I wanted to join prime, I live in Florida, I applied, they replied back saying they’re not hiring in my area at the moment. I have no problem relocate, and I heard they they pay for bus tickets to their training facilities, how does that work. Where do I supposed to live to be able to start with prime?
Does Prime offer GI Apprenticeships? My home state requires 4 weeks of training in CDL. It's that something Prime can assist with?

Awesome! We look forward to having you on board. During orientation, we cover 3 meals per day and the hotel stay. Once you enter the TNT phase (OTR with a trainer), you will receive a guaranteed pay per week!

Somehow your comment was overlooked, my apologies. Yes, I would say the majority of our drivers have families. There are several ways to drive and still be there for your family. It's not easy, I'm sure, but we have partnered with Good Dads to help guide drivers through this process.

I have Cdl bt I need Driving Training
Prime can do that! You would do 60k TEAM miles with a trainer, so you will be thoroughly trained before going solo :) good luck
So the loan for the cdl program isn't free until you pay it off then your welcome to take the cdl exam but not until you fully pay the loan off? Someone plz answer this
You will get a $200 loan weekly during your PSD phase of training. This will get paid off in $25 weekly increments. This does not need to be paid off prior to you doing the TNT phase of training. During the TNT phase of training you will receive $900 (pre tax) weekly as long as you are available to go over the road. The $900 weekly payment are income, not a loan.

How does the tuition work?
For the Prime Training Program, you will pay $100 entry fee if you are approved to join our program. After you complete orientation, the $100 will be refunded to you. how is the process if i already have a license
When did you get it? If less than 45 days ago, you would come in as a C Seat and do 3-day orientation and 60,000 training miles.
Prime CDL training its with automatic transmission or only manual??? ... can i get only autoshift truck if i want ??

I don’t have any tax return copies except for the one I’m getting next year for 2021, Will this be a problem? Should I request copies of tax returns from the past 3 years? IRS will take up to 70 days to send them. Please help. (I was able to obtain Wage and Income transcripts from 2017 - 2020, it shows the employer and my wages, would that be enough proof?)

How long is the OTR training with a trainer?
nexus the first phase with your permit takes 2-4 weeks. The second phase with your CDL is based on a minimum of at least 50k miles and typically takes around 3 months.

Hello! We do not ask you to pay the $100 entry fee until after you are approved for orientation. The $100 is reimbursed once you complete orientation, as well.

Question i heard thru some videos that prime is strick with work employment. Will they take me if i been off work for like 2 or so yrs? I been taking care of my grandkids because my older daughter and my other daughter work schedule are crazy
