Nearly 2k hours of Hunt here, and watching this I recognise I don't do enough of this stuff. Cheers, will try to be more mindful of my crosshair placement in future.
Id like to add that specially in Hunt Showdown you want to clear mic when fighting and only talk to your team mates in short accurate calm sentences and listen. I've gotten many thru walls headshots because enemy has decided to start running near me. Sometimes I've pinpointed accurate location of the enemy hunter when they were crouch walking another side of the wall just 2 steps. Also never try to hide behind walls when you are right next to the wall that is supposed to cover you because in Hunt your gear and sometimes shadows do go thru wall and show your location so keep small cap between the wall and enemy. Specially important when checking corners, your gun barrel will show to enemy thru wall if you are against it when trying to peak and if you have turned sideways they see the barrel way ahead of time. Another thing is that do not run away from enemy in straight line after they have spotted you. Not even 1 step. Always run away in diagonal way to make the aiming little bit harder for the enemy, I've gotten soooooo many free kills from people who have peaked-shot-turn around-run straight line away from me. Also the higher MMR you are more people seem to aim your head instead of chest which makes shoot-crouch sidestep-shoot combo to be more effective. Does not work well against lower MMR people because they usually aim to the chest area when shooting and crouching brings your head to that height. When running towards or away from the enemy hunter do not use A and D to strafe instead use your mouse and make sharp and gentle turns in random pattern. Lastly when running away from enemy and if they are far enough to not yet see you clearly, turn around and shoot once or twice in the direction where enemy is coming from. Most people slow their advance and might even stop before realizing you are already too far to be chased. Works against all rank players in every game pretty much.
Also keep in mind that jumping more than twice in short succession slows your movement speed pretty dramatically for a little bit. Crouch spamming too.
The problem is WHERE the damn crosshair is in this game. In every other game, its centered. But in this game they decided to have it be in the bottom 1/3 of your screen. So all muscle memory from literally ANY other shooter will fight you in this game.
So I basically was 2/3 star with 0.8 kd and in few days of playn became 5 star with 1.25(kd climbing every round) and the thing I changed was that I got aaa lot more aggresive and move quickly, just dont crauch walk all the time and you will get confidence which is most important
this video is the best to learn for newer players: newer players often get the wrong idea on how to play during fights because since there are "stealth traps" in the game, players treat fights like a tom clancy stealth game when in actuality you need the advantage of fast movement when you peek (i.e. new players crouch peek all too often). newer players also resort to bad tactics (slow movement and/or standing still) because they believe they have "bad aim". but often "bad aim" isn't as much flicks but rather crosshair placement as you show in the video. if players make an effort to have better crosshair placement they may find they land quite a lot more shots than they thought they could. obviously there are situations to move slow but it takes time to learn the game first before you learn those situations, and it's more important to understand these fundamentals (which apply to most fps) to become a better player. then you can gradually bring in hunt-specific stealth/repositioning/etc into your gameplay.
I was a new player have 100hrs sunk and this is entirely untrue the skill gap is for to high since the only people still playing this game are vets who can't get off cryteks dick lol The aiming is atrocious and I think bullets in battlefield which are all projectile based like hunt travel 5 times as fast rewarding good accuracy instead of who can strafe the hardest and land lucky shots.

Leading is another topic thats really interesting. I try to play only 1 weapon for lets say 20 hunters, so after 3-5 matches i really got used to the speed. 4 Star Player here. I never seem to hit the head - always the body xD
A well timed B hop through water will allow you to maintain your speed with up to 3 jumps. I had 60hrs before my buddy noticed it. Makes gator legs almost unneeded so long as you dont cross large bodies of water
I do this instinctively. (Crosshair placement). I have a replay where I place my crosshair exactly where I heard movement before in the bushes. Only to start circling them and a teammate being shot from the bushes. A muzzle flash where I aim. I just pull the trigger and get the kill. I didn't even see the hunter.
As someone who's just crested 700 hours in the game, I still sometimes bounce between MMR ranges as far as 3-5 stars. You have any advice for how to best deal with a slump? I really don't know what causes or how to resolve an "off day" where I'm just doing poorly left right and center. Loved the video!
Pro tip, when you die from somebody spectate them for a little bit and watch what they do and their movements and weapons. Especially if it’s a 5 6 star player.
I was a 3* that killed 5-6* consistently for a long time. Never understood why I stayed at 3* I made a change in strategy and mindset...I made affordable well rounded load out, with weapons I really enjoyed, and everytime I died. Soloing 5*-6* trios. If I go on a losing streak, I dont even get demoted to 3-4* anymore.
as a sniper in many fps, bunny hopping is the opposite of what you want to do. it puts your head in a predictable arc that is like asking a sniper to take an easy shot.
Likewise, I'm also trying to get said trophy lol. The thing is I know I always have it in the back of my mind and as soon I get it and stop panicking about it I'll perform better.......the irony lol.
@@DanTheMan5900 I finally made it. Got 2 hunters left to 50 so i went up to lvl 40something then I just join a game, kill some mobs and extract. You get exp and u can farm it that way up to 50.
What I die the most to is 1.Encounters while I'm reloading a revolver and 2. I peek and shoot, 1 second later while in cover I received the headshot I was supposed to receive 😂
The more I keep my crosshair glued to the walls/trees/objects the more I find frags, movement in Hunt is so slow compared to CS for an example that I dont have to worry about opponent swinging me that much to throw my aim off and reaction time is fast enough for minimal adjustment to hit the shot even if they do.
Honestly, I'm looking for any way to get better at this game. Most of the time I die in the first 5 minutes of every match unless I sit and hide for ten minutes, then go out and kill zombies and such. I hate PVP in this game tbh, but I've invested too much money in it to just quit. (Which is what I'd like to do a lot of the time) I wish there was PVE Bounty Hunt Co-op, but seeing as there isn't, here I am. 😒 Thanks for the video though. 👍
hi mate, can you explain the different between DPI? does it matter if i go lower sensivity and higher dpi ir lower dpi and higher sensivity. Gamesense and rotating way more important if you have to jumppeek an angle to not die you already playing the game wrong for at least 2 minutes before you trying to land the first shot that way
Do you think high sensitivity on a small mousepad might be inferior to normal sensitivity on a big mousepad? I do a lot of small hand movements and I notice I miss a lot of important shots in Hunt.
My opinion is dpi is not so matter ,sensitive is more important.. i use 600 dpi and 1.60 in game sensitive...for me that way is also fast turn and precise shot
