- In this video, I'm going to show you my custom double-stringer bodyboard. This is my first session on it and it was a lot of fun!
I wanted to do a full process video so you can see all the steps I took to make this board easy to ride for the first time and the first session. I hope you enjoy the video!

Good old Cornish colours too 🤙🏽
👌🏼👌🏼
Don't feel so bad now when I'm the only one out and the surf is small. Better to get a small day than no day imo. Sniper boards will be added to the quiver.
Couldn’t agree with you more. Worth just getting in! And thanks for the support bru.
agreed bru!!
I was at that beach the day you posted this!
Epic!!
Love the new whip
Thanks bru.
Ripping as ever. How does the water here compare to the water in SA temp wise? I have had PP boards in the past and always found too stiff for my skill level (borderline intermediate on a good day😂). Currently ride NRG core and love it for both prone and DK.
Excellent video Iain great to see you ripping in our amazing county of Cornwall. Hope you enjoying your life here.
Thanks bru. Water temps are about the same this time of year compared to caves where I always surfed but it gets a bit colder on the west coast.
PP stays stiffer for longer in the colder water and that’s maybe why I enjoy it a bit more here. Allows me to enjoy the board for a bit longer.
@@iaincampbell_ thank for the reply. I've been eyeing the Sniper 'prayer' board in 44/PP and may give it a shot.
@@AWSMEAD it's a really good board...
Ripping as alwayd i also just Got a brand new board today im stoked to getting My first session with it sadle i Got it at a shop at our vacation Home and i dont have My wetsuit with me but im getting motivated watching your vids

The Hoek's wedge, mirrored!
Not as good.
Hey lain, I just bought a finned South Bay board co bodyboard. I really enjoy it, and I was wondering if you know if it’s similar to the board you roll with.
Not that I know of… never heard of that before! My boards have no fins at all. Always flat bottom with channels and that’s it.
This is Newquay tolcarne beach right, sick to see you at my local, keep shredding!
Thanks! Will do!
Great video Iain! But Churchill fins without socks my foot can’t survive ;
I’ve been riding them for a while and they are all good. Don’t get cut or have issues anymore.
What were those black stubby fins we saw you using at Tolcarne Beach the other week? A new prototype DK fin?
Those are just the cut off Churchill fins. Not the best, lack power, prefer the others!
The green look pretty sharp 👍
Hello Iain, I am so close to add a sniper board to my quiver. This board will be like a second board, and should be a little bigger becouse will be used in small waves. My question is: Do you think that the single stringer must be enough in this situation?
I wish good waves to you! Regards from Argentina. (Escuse me for the grammar 😅)
For sure. If the water is a bit colder and not as warm as Bali, Mexico and Indo, single stringer boards are more than enough 🤙🏼🤙🏼
You look pretty good🤙🏻
Thanks 😁
Do you use softboard wax? I found it’s really grippy but comes off easier
I use surf board wax mostly because I find it stays and works best!
What do you usually use if you don’t use a double stringer lol?
A single stringer 😅
Cool video ! But isn't too stiff board for the UK? What material are you more confortable to ride in the UK PE, or PP?
Yes it is! Way too stiff. That’s what I said at the start of the video. I was using it to get it ready for the waves in the Maldives.
I almost exclusively use the PP core because I like the feeling of it in the water. I wouldn’t use the PE. The low density would not survive…
@@iaincampbell_ great! and in the UK what do you usually ride, PE/ PP/NRG?
What type of wax do you use?
Sticky Bumps is the one!!
Was this at great western in Newquay?
Close but no…
@@iaincampbell_ the beach along from towan?
Good
Thanks
Do you speed up the video for your spin? Be honest
Never… reason why it’s Raw POV.
@@iaincampbell_ virtual whiplash on my end bro! 😅
