  • In this video, I'm going to show you my custom double-stringer bodyboard. This is my first session on it and it was a lot of fun!
    I wanted to do a full process video so you can see all the steps I took to make this board easy to ride for the first time and the first session. I hope you enjoy the video!

    Don't feel so bad now when I'm the only one out and the surf is small. Better to get a small day than no day imo. Sniper boards will be added to the quiver.

    Ripping as ever. How does the water here compare to the water in SA temp wise? I have had PP boards in the past and always found too stiff for my skill level (borderline intermediate on a good day😂). Currently ride NRG core and love it for both prone and DK.

      Thanks bru. Water temps are about the same this time of year compared to caves where I always surfed but it gets a bit colder on the west coast.
      PP stays stiffer for longer in the colder water and that’s maybe why I enjoy it a bit more here. Allows me to enjoy the board for a bit longer.

    Hey lain, I just bought a finned South Bay board co bodyboard. I really enjoy it, and I was wondering if you know if it’s similar to the board you roll with.

    • @iaincampbell_
      @iaincampbell_  Год назад

      Not that I know of… never heard of that before! My boards have no fins at all. Always flat bottom with channels and that’s it.

    Hello Iain, I am so close to add a sniper board to my quiver. This board will be like a second board, and should be a little bigger becouse will be used in small waves. My question is: Do you think that the single stringer must be enough in this situation?
    I wish good waves to you! Regards from Argentina. (Escuse me for the grammar 😅)

    • @iaincampbell_
      @iaincampbell_  Год назад +1

      For sure. If the water is a bit colder and not as warm as Bali, Mexico and Indo, single stringer boards are more than enough 🤙🏼🤙🏼

    Cool video ! But isn't too stiff board for the UK? What material are you more confortable to ride in the UK PE, or PP?

    • @iaincampbell_
      @iaincampbell_  Год назад

      Yes it is! Way too stiff. That’s what I said at the start of the video. I was using it to get it ready for the waves in the Maldives.
      I almost exclusively use the PP core because I like the feeling of it in the water. I wouldn’t use the PE. The low density would not survive…
