Good day!!! After the video of the complete fig tree root incursion and that specimen, everything else is a bit of a let down with “rooooots”! 🤣
Enjoy your videos!!
In the UK we don't usually have storm outlets. The rain comes down the drain pipes and many have water butts ( Barrels ) to water the the garden. The use of soakaways is common, but sometimes these block up, the same as in Australia. We live half way up a mountain so when it rain the water is streaming down the forest, then the garden and down the steps, through the retaining wall outlets and stays wet for ages. The road outside floods with leaves and stones washing into the drains. The good side is that we live in among the greenest, loveliest environment in the UK. Thanks for posting Gavin.
Almost all UK houses storm water is handled on the property rather than the Australian style of draining it to the street. Older housing stock pre 1970 uses the Victorian style single sewer connection called a combined sewer where waste and storm water are mixed together and sent to the treatment plant.
From around 1970 onwards newbuilds have two sewer connections to the property, one for storm water, which takes the water to rivers / streams / beaches and a foul water which handles untreated waste water and goes to a water treatment plant.
The newer style is great for reducing the amount of water flowing into a treatment plant but you do open up the possibility of a dodgy plumber accidentally connecting a toilet etc to the storm water sewer which will then send untreated waste into rivers etc.
@@n2n8sda I used to travel all over the UK repairing gearboxes used in water treatment plants, sewage farms. Some of the things filtered out of the raw sewage surprised me, often. I sold a house in Wiltshire, a couple of years ago, where the rain water was diverted into the sewer line. I was told that this was to aid the flow of waste water through the pipe. I have no clue as to whether it was sanctioned or not, but the neighbours told me that before it was done blockages in the sewer line were often and expensive. I know my house was not the only one modified this way. I live in West Wales now where there is no shortage of water and have a cesspit or two.
@@n2n8sda it’s the eastern states that seem to do street drainage of storm water. Here in the west, with our predominantly sandy soil, we use soak wells on the property
Wow! Best Chocolate River we have had in a long time. 13/10 from Willie Wonka. Keep up the good work.❤
Two of the best things to hear in the morning is,Penetrator here, and ROOTS. Thank you Gavin 😊

Happy Easter Penetrator family! Thank you for bringing such fun and interesting content our way!
I think you need to get some ROOTS t shirts made up with a pic of a pipe blocked with roots on them 🤣🤣👍👍also including a pic of the Single Barrel ready for battle 😀
Gavin don’t forget the jetter needs to be serviced this month 😛😉

Coffee is the most important piece of equipment for any job.
Seems like stronger pipe the first 2-3 metres along the roadway is needed. You've shown us lots of crushed pipes from people driving up on the curb. Even lining both sides of the pipe with bricks to take the load would help, I think.
Great job, Gavin.
Hope you and yours are happy and healthy, thanks for the view of another one well done. Peace.
A very good Sunday evening to you sir
The key words "asking questions".....if I ever begin to ask questions and the client seems "bothered", then I tell them I am not their guy, decline to work for them and go about my day. Nobody complains if they go to the doctor and get asked 50 questions by 3 different staff members, but somehow we are expected to just "figure it out"... Nice work YET again Gavin......as always. Watch the coffee....you may get mistaken for our Berlin friend Carsten 🤣
Haha
Guaranteed ROOOOOOTS Gavin is right on top of it
Happy Easter everyone
Right on mate !

Do you have a video explaining what each of your nozzles is and when and why you'd use them? I love watching you clean out stormwater drains - it's a fascinating process!

Yes the cctv showed a break there
I noticed before you had the recap and mentioned it 😂
Great job Gavin, isn’t it odd that the back yard drain runs nowhere? Happy Easter sir.
👍👍👍
OH good
I wonder where is the water going if it's not coming out
Fuck I'm glad I live in WA where the ground is mostly sand and rock which means we can use soak wells, so much better
You’re driving on then;eft side of the road😬
Where is toad? I miss him! 😢
Hey penetrator, yo ever consider one of those metal crate/water tank combinations? They have companies selling them for 50 us dollars here in ohio. 250 gallons or so, the size of a shipping pallet.
Got to Remember to blur the license plate!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I hate those type of drainage pits. All they do is fill up with dirt and the water doesn’t always flow out. I had one I. My yard and I tore it our a d rebuilt the drain without the pit an drain it works so much better now.
Missing the 'team' Gavin, have you retired them? 🤔
😎✌🏻
first one!
