Hi there. What I am most impressed with is the attention to detail especially with the painting. Thank you for the video. Stay safe out there. Take care and God bless
I’ve been on RUclips practically since there WAS a RUclips. I’ve watched tens of thousands of videos over the years, but NEVER one that’s almost two hours long … until now. This video is so incredibly well done, perhaps even more skillfully completed than your bus build, which is remarkable in its own right. You are as much a master builder of stories as you are of custom buses. Congratulations on both … just amazing!
You are too kind! Thank you so much! I think the video has a nice simplicity to it, and that leads to its popularity. Sometimes less is more I guess. Lol
Reading the description I expected to find something by talented amateurs. Much to my surprise and delight I discovered both a highly professional bus conversion and a highly professional movie documenting that conversion. Kudos to all involved!
Wire toothbrushes from Dollar General for the carvings and corners. Less risk of damaging the design like with a chisel. Painted hardware - soak in hot soapy water. It peels right off. Rust -:same as for cast iron cookware. Soak in vinegar water no more than 40 minutes. After drying, spray the mechanisms with silicone spray, not WD 40. Too sticky, attracts dirt that will gum up the works. You're doing a very fine job so keep chugging. You will get there.
Hey man, you did a beautiful job on that bus renovation. They’re making it into a nice motorhome. I love your ideas. The way you did it. God bless you both with talent of doing that kind of stuff from Southern Alberta Canada.🇨🇦
This guy is amazing. He built everything for him and his wife. I wish I knew to do wood work like this wow. Man you are the greatest builder I have seen on here so far.👍👍👍
Simple, slick and STUNNING! Great job and attention to detail! Wish I had an ounce of the skill you have! Thank you for this and safe/happy travels to you both!!
Watching from South Africa, It was a pleasure watching this build, worth every minute spend, you put a lot of detail into each cabinet, wall, door amazing. Enjoy your home on wheels. Would like to know how your trips went after the build was done, anything pointers for a person also looking to start something like this. Enjoy and thank you one again it was awesome.
I love the haint blue ceilings. Looks like a WalMart bus. The colors, I mean. Y'all did a great job, really, amazing craftsmanship. Very clever and lovely. So now I want one to live in.
I am almost 58 working 12 hours a day even Saturdays sometimes. I just came from work to relax myself watching this awesome video. I don't know how long is it. But it is worth the time I have been in front of my TV. Good job, congrats.
This man has got talent and a lot of patience doing this huge project! I'm impressed! Good taste here! Everything is made by hands on couples! This guy is a professional with so much knowledge and experience, soo much love was put into this work here!!! ❤❤Congratulations couple 👏👏👏👏
Beautiful craftsmanship and creativity. You installed lights as though you intend to drive it on the road but It's now much, much too heavy to be driven safely. I've heard school buses are hard to insure as RV's, maybe for such a reason.
Our bus is fully insured and we’ve been driving it for a year and a half. The weight is good and we upped the ply on the tires just to be safe. These buses are rated for very heavy loads. This one in particular was 30,000 lbs.
I don’t think a lot of people understand the time commitment with a project like this. It was a lot! I m glad the video helped shed some light on the process. Thanks for watching!
This is minister Ford again. I enjoyed your clips. You did a fantastic job. It was so much work involved in it. I didn't realize it but you have a wonderful product. Hope you have safe travels. You and your family praying for you always.
this is an exceptional conversion school bus and amazing work on the details, I like the progression so far; it is so good. One of my dreams is to get the old school bus renovated just like you guys well done I've learned a lot from your project concept though perfectly done thanks for sharing this with everyone on RUclips to inspire and take the first step to building a dream charming home sweet home. my goodness, I love that
Wow ! First , I have never watched a video this long ! Second, wow...just WOW!! So many crazy ,mad skills ! I am so impressed and absolutely love how your home on wheels turned out. Just WOW ! Someone taught you well. Enjoy ! God bless !
Thank you so much! It took a long time to gain the skill necessary to complete this build, plus I had to pick up a few new skills along the way. Lol thanks for watching!
This build was awesome to see it come to together im always watching conversions of buses vans or small utes/trucks this one probably has to be my favourite
The most beautiful school bus conversion i have seen on RUclips...you guys are amazing and very talented. The roof rising and the choices of colors inside and outside are wonderful. I love the classic old fridge. All the little details you made to this bus is WOW!! Best 2 hours i spent watching you rebuilding it !!! 😍😍😍👍👍
He is a hell of a carpenter. If that is not his profession, he missed his calling. He is the definition of jack of all trades. Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and welding. I envy you sir, I wish I had your skill. Very beautifully done.
What an absolute JOY to witness this transformation! The Cast & Crew have ALL got it goin’ on! Your “Game Faces” are beautiful to watch. The coordination and construction are like watching a Ballet! I needed to get in bed- to get some rest before an important appointment- and I couldn’t stop watching!😂👊🏾🙌🏾☝🏾🙋🏾♀️🖖🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾☮️💟✝️☯️
I do plead with you to make sure that you have a second door to be able to exit the bus in case of fire or any other reason ti get out of the bus in a timely manner. You are doing such a wonderful job on this bus and I praise you both for all your gard work. Maybe you should consider doing this as a profession in fixing up bases for others.
I dont know you people but I am proud of you guys... what work you guys put into this build.. you guys rock... I hope you come to Canada 1 day on your travels... I hope you have a wonderful time in your schoolie.... much love from nova scotia canada
It looks amazing. I wouldn't want to pay the fuel bill after adding 10 tons of building materials though . It's more of a home that can be moved if needed , than a mobile home for all terains at that weight . I truly love it , and hope you 2 have a wonderful life together in it . ❤🤙🤙🏿
The weight has been good, but, yes, diesel is the biggest expenditure. Luckily, we like to stay in places for 2-3 weeks. So we don’t move to much, and we don’t feel the fuel cost as much. Thanks for watching!
From beginning to end it had my absolute undivided attention. Absolutely phenomenal work you guys. This is like my 3rd or 4th watching a video this long and it held my undivided attention. Shoot this makes me want to live on a bus like this. Craftsmanship is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥i love it you guys. When you guys started taking out the windows 🪟 i was like yup they’re going to raise the roof of the bus a little higher. And yall did so satisfying to watch.
Hopefully, you guys are building the bus and do something awesome and please leave the back door in the front right side door on and all the tail lights and headlights that the bus has on it in case of emergency
WOW! Amazing work! From the metal work, wood work, vinyl, flooring, painting, design, and capturing it all in a beautiful video, with great edit .. truly the best YT video I have EVER seen! Thanks so much for sharing your hard work, you two rock! I learned so much, and got so many ideas for our build, all from a 2 hour speechless video. Words can encapsulate how well done every aspect is!! Kudos! ❤
When it comes to building a School bus into a beautiful project you're the best. I just loved what you did. Awesome job now it's time to hit the road and enjoyed your project. Happy trails to you and your wife. Loved the video.
One of the best Skoolies I ever saw was a guy who took a full length IH school bus, then cut the top off a shorty IH school bus from about the 2nd black line up (so the seats of the seats I guess), welded it on top of the other bus so the backs were lined up, then divided the upper half in two from front to back, cut the roof out of the lower bus under the back half so he had an atrium area in the back, and installed a wrought iron spiral staircase to access the front half of the upper half and made that his bedroom. He had hardwood floors and a wood burning stove in it. He had a grey water tank for his little kitchenette area, but he never installed a bathroom area, saying he didn't want to deal with having to empty a blackwater tank. He was a sort of hippie guy whom I only met once, but he seemed cool. Oddly, I lived with his ex-gf at another house, and she had her own skoolie made out of a 1/2 length Chevy bus (not a shorty, but not a full size). Hers had a bathroom, but it wasn't in use because she paid for "house privileges" so she could just come inside and use the indoor facilities whenever she needed to, but she lived out in her bus.
Some have all the skills in the world. While some like me are green with envy 😂. Seriously, the craftsmanship is exquisite and it's reflected in the minimalist finish ❤.
Greeting from CA , I enjoyed watching your Videos. I loved Tiny Home. When I was very young I used to rent a Tiny Home in the Philippines. Thank you for sharing your Video.
Been watching an hour, looks great! Every hole on that roof should have have caulk on it and in it, highly recommend!!! Oh I thought spraying clear on the exterior would UV protect your paint greatly also! Great job!
Great suggestions! All of the new holes on the roof (transition, Dan, etc) have sealant on them. Some have rubber and some have caulk. We’re a little paranoid about leaks. Also, we weren’t to worried about adding a clear coat. The tractor paint has held up well on other projects in the past, so it wasn’t worth the cost and work to add a clear coat, at least not to us. Thanks for watching!
Congrats on the engagement and on the build. You guys did an amazing job. It has a few wrinkles in the sheet metal but I am sure I would too. Sheet metal like that is hard to get to lay flat and perfect. Makes me feel sad taking 5 years to build my hotrod. Lol
Great job! I would like to congratulate you on the project. You demonstrated a great number of varied skills. The amount of work and time in the project alone, then add on top the video work must have been enormous. I have only one thing to advise, and that is, enjoy it to the maximum. Congratulations again and thanks for sharing, I enjoyed watching every minute. Greetings from France.
Totally fascinating and of course the ending was stupendous! What was missing was the plans ---the very extensive plans you must have had. I kept thinking how did he know to do that or put that there, etc. etc. So cool, I watched the whole thing. Kudos to an incredible job.
Thank you so much for watching! The planning process was in depth, but it was also somewhat fluid. We new what we wanted to accomplish, but sometimes we had to rearrange the details.
This was extremely satisfying to watch your full transformation & hard work done on your bus❤.Great job& hope that you guys will enjoy traveling all over together for the years to come.I have an old yucky Hino bus that needs so much work done on it,but unfortunately my partner is unable to help me out with any of the hard stuff. We live in it& don't have the money or a place to stay to be able to get it properly fixed up so that's sad.Winter comes around and it leaks every where & mold gets into every thing. But still it is a roof over our heads,so I am great full for that.Again terrific job & lovely video. All the way from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Great Project ! Thanks for sharing your skills and the design. The idea of placing the water tank inside and on top of the bus frame was a great idea. Did you weigh the home after you completed it? Did it handle well on the road?
So far it has handled great, but I haven’t gotten it weighed. Although, I will have to soon. I was worried about the handling, because of the roof raise and added weight, but no issues so far.
Wow!!!These guys are amazing.Make me wish I had of paid more attention in Wood Working and Shop class in High School;lol. Its all good though cause I've done pretty good 😅😂
Hi there. What I am most impressed with is the attention to detail especially with the painting. Thank you for the video. Stay safe out there. Take care and God bless

It is exciting watching you put this wonderful home together. Thank you for showing me and all your friends.
Great video ❤
Reading the description I expected to find something by talented amateurs. Much to my surprise and delight I discovered both a highly professional bus conversion and a highly professional movie documenting that conversion. Kudos to all involved!

Wow!! This is awesome!! How talented you all are. Just beautiful. Weldone guys!!! 😮 Nice back ground music.
Thank you so much! You are too kind. Thanks for watching!
I cannot believe all the kickass work you put into this. I don't know how to convey the level of impressiveness I feel/see. Jonesy
You are too kind! Thank you so much!
Wow 🤩 im in awe 🥹 awesome job!! Have a great life you guys. May God bless your home🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Great build and awesome project. Hard work beats talent every time
Thank you sir! Thanks for watching!
Brother you got the most amazing skills I have ever seen on utube , congratulations 🎉🎈🎊 I love it . I can’t wait for more .
You are too kind! Thank you!
Thanks for using our products. Pex, SharkBite fittings 🤘🤘🤘
Of course, they worked great! 2 years in and we’ve had no issues.
Thank you for you kind words! This project did take a long time, but it was well worth.
Rose you got a phenomenal husband and he take very good care of you❤❤❤
Thank you!
Totally fascinating and of course the ending was stupendous! What was missing was the plans ---the very extensive plans you must have had. I kept thinking
how did he know to do that or put that there, etc. etc. So cool, I watched the whole thing. Kudos to an incredible job.
Thank you so much for watching! The planning process was in depth, but it was also somewhat fluid. We new what we wanted to accomplish, but sometimes we had to rearrange the details.
Thank you for sharing on
something that I know that
I will never want to do😮
Lol we probably won’t do it again either. Thanks for watching!
Love that fridge!!
We love it too! Thanks for watching!
Well done… all around. The detail and effort taken was above and beyond. Kudos to you both. Awesome job enjoy!
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
Incredibly talented. Hats off to you, this is amazing. So much talent, the sense of achievement must have been incredible 🎉❤
You are too kind, but thank you so much! It definitely felt like an accomplishment once we got the bus on the road.
Wow, how beautiful ❤❤❤
Thank you!
You picked the best music for this! I put this on and did my housework while you worked in the video👍🏼Love it!
Motivation ⭐
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
I hope you get it all fixed! Bus conversions are big projects. They take time and space, so I hope you find both.
The guy has crazy skills.
Thank You and thanks for watching!
I love the vintage refridgerator.
Thank you! It was a rough model to find!
Amazing attention to detail.
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
Geniuses ❤
Thank you! You are too kind!
I think you two did a great job awesome work beautiful😊
Thank you so much!
wow, i commend you guys on all your craftmanship.
Thank you!
So much work! Good job! Your bus conversion is beautiful!
Thank you so much! It was a lot of work, but it was well worth it. Thanks for watching!
I was wondering the same thing. All that wood, water tanks etc is not light. By the way Gross maximum weight for that bus is only 18,000 lbs.
BEAUTIFUL WORK!!!!! ♥️🥰❤️
Thank you!
I believe someone is a great carpenter. Awesome job you guys, and your bus is beautiful and well thought out. When can you start on mine?
Lol not sure I’ll be doing another one anytime soon! Thanks for the compliment!
Definitely have practical buil ding experience in all aspects
