- Koenigsegg is known for pushing the boundaries with there Hypercars, Christian von Koenigsegg is a mad man, but in the best way possible. I mean they have made cars like the Agera 1 which makes 1000HP per ton, the Jesko which was the worlds fastest production car, and they even made the Regera a 1500HP hybrid hypercar.
Now when a company like this announces a new car people are at the edge of there seats, I mean what will they do next, well they didn’t disappoint this is the Koenigsegg CC850 and this is the highest horsepower hyper car with a Manual transmission, sort of. Let me explain exactly what’s going on here.

Christian and his team are truly mad geniuses, and it's always great to listen to his interviews because he's always been passionate about the engineering that powers his cars, and the sort of stuff he and his team come up with that just blows your mind sometimes
It's similar to the Lightspeed Transmission (less gears). The shift and clutch by wire are not connected, and are just for fun, gadgets, gimmicks, but absolutely genius ones. This not only allows this type of shifter here, but in EVs in the future, simulating, perhaps well, the driving experience many want to preserve, while still allowing technology to progress, not frozen in place, in time, so we can hang onto a feature.

Me; looks out window at my neighbors 1950 dodge meadowbrook which in fact was a true automatic/manual transmission. Actual clutch and actual torque converter with a manual shift transmission. Fluid drive.

To be fair. Its probobly possible to do this with all automized gearboxes. It probobly could be done even with physcial linages.
Still a mystery how the 7 wet clutches are activated individually.

What does the clutch pedal do in automatic mode? Does it hides? Or is it just disabled? Would be cool, if it folded somewhere and hided

How is the jesko the worlds fastest production car when it just started production? Also it's the 1:1 not the agera 1
I am wrong the Jesko absolut claim to have a topspeed of 330mph but has not yet done a official run
