K-swap it with a big turbo for real power, get rid of those Gallardo wheels and horrible spacers, spec out a fitting set of wheels for it, and rock it til it falls apart or makes you smile!

Get a Toyota 1GZ-FE V12 and tune it (has to be custom) ITBS high compression motor, far better than any other option.

@@tony_5156 Except that's NEVER going to fit transversely to mate up to the MR2 trans, which the K will, and since it would need to be longitudinal, you'll have to find a trans that will mate up, AND be manual (an auto would be a waste) which basically leaves you to buying and adapting a Murci trans to it (and manual Murcie transmissions are rare and EXPENSIVE). On top of that, it's an extremely rare motor, and as far as I know, no one makes any sort of tuning or mods for the V12. Not really a better options than pretty much anything else. it would be cheaper at that point to just go get a real Murcie. Tell me you've never worked on cars without telling me.
Ah yes Gosport, my home town. Sams garage is actually round the corner from where I get all my cars serviced- MOTD funnily enough I even had David Kent do some carpentry work in my house. Funny how far some tiny little town folks stories can travel.

He could make some serious money renting it out to film sets. A lot of high-end car dealers won't loan vehicles for films unless the filmmakers fork out an obscene amount of money for insurance. Passive income, and he'd make his money back in no time.

There's a guy in Norway who built a Lambo "clone" from scratch. Can't remember the details, but if I remember correct he built almost everything himself (not a kit car) and he used a BMW V12 as the engine.
I must comment onthe Mopeds passing him was one of the funniest things i saw and heard one one say about their car it litterally made me laugh out loud watching this in room all by myself

I know exactly how he feels.... I built a running full scale model of a world WWI tank with firing machine gun (a gas gun). The people I thought would turn their nose up at it because they are into original restorations have loved it. And I let people clamber it it and all over it and shoot the gun...you know it ain't real but it doesn't matter, it has the ambiance. And if I saw this I would presume Lambo because I have never been close to one and probably never will...such great fun.

i was driving a 1941 Ford GPW Jeep to get my kid from school when a beautiful Ferrari with 30 day tags drove up. He looked at me with windshield down wearing my WW2 flight goggles and windblown hair and said " you have just taken the cool out of my car" to which I responded "and for less than 20,000 dollars"

Like most older 3SGTE’s it probably has a HKS SSQV or a similar clone, Blow off/dump valve. Those things are super loud and some can be really shrill and nasty. A really solid MR2 exhaust can sound absolutely incredible. The 3S twin cams have a really unique growl and that snotty grumble when matched with a killer exhaust system. A moderate build with a good tune on an SW20 makes for a really mean little ride!

I'm hoping eventually to build some kit super cars, not replica's. I like the RCR Coupe and the Ultima RS. You've got to have the gull wing doors on a super car or the factory five GTM would be a contender........

When my rally built Fiero took a hit from a friend at an amateur event I stripped everything down and rebuilt the body and suspension to match to not necessarily be a replica of a Lancia Stratos because I couldn't get all the measurements exact without doing more work than I wanted to, but I did recreate the wedge in a way that would look right on the platform while staying respectable and light. After getting all the work I went straight back to tearing up the tracks we've put together for fun in the fields, woods, etc that are on the land I've bought over the years. Not Toyota reliability, but it does have a 3800 Series II supercharged (one of the most common swaps for a Fiero for good reason IMO) that's more than enough torque for that light body.

How do you get the right proportions of a Murci on an MR2 chassis? There’s a 10 inch difference in wheelbase.
These cars are always stretched when using a donor like fieror or mr2. I prefer to just build a tube chassis it's just more expensive, won't have a complete interior to start, but you can build what you want, use the drivetrain you want.

A 2GRFE is a simple engine swap. My brother has 2 of them. The 3.5 V6 weighs less than the turbo 4 and makes the same power.
And there very easy to work on

What does the power level of the engine have anything to do with burning the clutch up the clutch is the exact same size in the 3sgte as it is in the 5sge they actually share the same part number

Actually, the smoked headlamps make it look suspect. Other than that, exterior looks near perfect
Plenty of lambo owners smoke their headlights and taillights... the only difference here is the headlights are one piece of flat lexan, oem headlights are glass and have sides. But you can just buy those for a couple hundred USD each. He's got oem wheels. It all depends how much you want to spend and where you want to spend it. People copy and share fiberglass parts from the real cars and they're exactly the same thing oem-aftermarket stores sell but thousands of dollars cheaper. I've seen replica owners buy and install the actual lambo v12 engine.

3:08 there’s no way that body is right for that south point car, looks like a COT or Xfinity car but they never ran the SS in Xfinity and only launched it in Cup in 2013 with the Gen 6. Maybe it’s just the real headlights throwing me 🤣
A twin Hayabusa setup or Judd V10 would be a dope swapp
If it's an mr2 then buy a twin charger kit for it and just add the super into you're current twin turbo set up tweaked slightly and get better low end power turbos will add compound boost. With a bit of engine work you can get that hp up snd the engine will act like a bigger displacement engine.
Id honestly rather drive a clean MR2...then a fake 4cylinder Lambo 😬

I have a WWI tank I made and love it and it now sits in a museum as a popular attraction and we run it and I even took it too WWI reenactment and it was the Belle of the Ball running and shooting and chasing Germans...they were faster. And motorized bike that I extended and looped the frame to make it look like a very early motorcycle. It is great fun, easy to maintain, and people are constantly fooled by it. It's not the stuff for richies but for common folk its wonderful.
