This is because they are using a different chassis and the wheelbase doesn't line up 100% perfectly. I believe they used a Boxer chassis since its engine layout and wheelbase is as close as you could get. If be interested to know what chassis they use for their builds though to confirm. The mr2 and Pontiac fiero are much shorter/narrower so replicas that use those are dead give aways.
On top it appears 97% correct - Kudos! Under the covers though...major difference. On the track, forget it.
