Turkish is way too stubborn to give Havertz his flowers. Give over Turkish. He's one of our most effective players at the moment. We all got it wrong when he signed (bar a select few), let's just put our hands up and be happy he is doing well now.

Nah I got that, just think the drop off for Odegaard, Saka, Saliba, Raya, Rice is greater. I’ve seen us cope without Odegaard/Rice at Tottenham and without Odegaard at City so my point was not needing to panic without Havertz because Arteta’s shown he can adapt to worse losses.
I think Havertz been very good throughout 2024 and I first mentioned Jesus losing a yard and not having the ability to spin off defenders a year ago so this wasn’t me saying Jesus should be starting.

Regarding the prediction rules, the reason why the leader should go first and not last place is that in a situation where the leader needs to retain their lead, they can just copy the prediction of someone below them so that they can't be caught. For example, leader is 2 points ahead in final week, they just need to copy 2nd place's prediction to win the title. Leader going first gives those below the chance to catch them. I'd suggest keeping the rules as is.

Unfortunately Jesus right now is underperforming massively. I don't want to be too harsh because I can understand why things are so difficult for him right now (injuries, losing his place in the squad etc) BUT he is being so selfish whenever he comes on. We know he tends to overdo it normally anyway but at the moment it's like he refuses to pass. Just forgotten all of the basics it seems.
Again don't want to be too harsh because I just think he is desperate for a goal, I think he wants to have a moment or a statement performance to make himself a more important part of this team again but he's not helping himself. No other negatives from the game, I love this team and of course I do want Jesus back at his best as well.

Big up the pod as always, great content from you guys. I think it’s time we as fans come to terms that not only are we a really good side, we’re also now a very professional side! And I think professional is the best way to describe the game yesterday. We let them play in the areas we wanted them to and as soon as they got into territory we didn’t like we were on them and won the ball back, we’re playing conservative football on our terms and building a strong foundation to put us in a position to challenge for trophies in the second half of the season. We also saw glimpses of the gears we can move up to should we require! These performances to me are the most satisfying because they display, maturity, discipline, authority, intelligence and ruthlessness. We have a really special manager who now has a special team that allow him to flex his tactical ability, in the words of Meek Mill, “I used to pray for times like this”

I've realised that it gets boring for other fans when the other team can't score. As a neutral, you want to see a back and forth but as a fan you love when your team controls a game. I am very content to see the way we play right now, it's not the beautiful Wenger ball but it's not the boring Mourinho football. Long may it live on.

I like the fact that I can proudly back my team with a chance to win against any team in the world, I have full trust in the manager because the team Is so versatile, we can defend a lead, come back from being a goal or 2 down, and most importantly, we can adjust our style of plan at any time seamlessly. COYG!

I love that we have become so good defensively that a clean sheet is no longer highlighted or celebrated on its own. It's almost as though that's the expectation/natural occurrence every time. Love that about us right now.

We haven't lost a game partey had started since his return from injury...he gives our MF a shape.
I don't see Arteta benching him... merino/Rice might end up not being a good combo

Kinda sad how PSG fans were out singing the whole Emirates we been waiting to get back in the champions league yet there no atmosphere from the arsenal fans and Saka was 2nd best player yesterday why isn't he getting the credit?

I truly like having Jordan on the podcast. I don’t know why the comment section is so hard on him.

The fact that we can play more than one way has broken people’s brains. I’ve just watched a few minutes of another show where a Chelsea fan was giving his opinion that we win because of our defence, that we’re a defensive side, that we don’t play a high line or have high press, that he prefers Jackson to Havertz because of his all round game and because he “runs the channels”, etc… it’s like he’s never actually watched us and all of his opinions had been formed purely by the headlines he’d read and hot takes from rival YT channels.
And all I could think was ‘this is great!’ Everything we’re doing is going completely unnoticed, and we’re being dismissed as a low-block defensive side who can’t attack. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.

Odegard was the most difficult to replace interms of how the team plays. But we did not miss him. Guys the most important player is the gaffer.

Trossard needs to start more games regularly for us to see him at his best. It doesn't help when he keeps going in and out of the team

    Idea for the new intro:
Jordan changing the channel from Arsenal to Netflix.
Lee writing a book about how to be honest.
James going mad celebrating a draw.
And Turkish having a meeting with Sheroy to get out of a points deduction

For next year predictions, it’ll be more fun and more fair if the person at the bottom predicts first and the person on top predicts last.
