Met Maxi backstage at a small local festival about 6 years ago now and he came over shook my hand and spoke with me as if we had known each and met before. Lovely energy, iconic talent and a top bloke! ❤
I feel so utterly privileged and grateful to have experienced this era of togetherness, magic and wonder the Rave scene in the UK birthed. Now 30 odd Years later the country feels like a bleak wasteland in comparison and this is Thatcher Britain we are comparing to here.
This song and "I.CAN"T.GET.NO.SLEEP" defined my college days in the 90s. Nobody comes close to capturing the essence of 90s dance music. Many try but they can't come close. RIP Maxi!!

One of the best acts of all time god bless maxi i can remember working at Central station records in sydney and the day i started reverence came out still one of my favourite albums off all time (play it loud people) paulie
Absolutely loved Rollo and Sister Bliss in the early 90s. Get off your high horse......and love hear I come best tunes in Sydney Australia 1994. Oxford Street Darlinghurst was the best.
I am not ashamed to confess that I cried, when Maxi Jazz died. Faithless was more than just a group playing Techno with Rap, It was the spirit of the 90´s we celebrated. Life, Love and global Community with everybody. Positive Vibes for a fragile World, we just wanted to make a better place. Watching the daily days of today, I often ask myself, what happend with Humanity, where is the Magic we lived and stand for.

Rave was an act of rebellion - yes we need raves now - we have political two parties “two cheeks of the same backside” - I never thought I’d hear the current Labour Party praising Thatcher - vote wisely people
Faithless defined nothing in the 90s rave scene - they were not even there! their first album was hip-hop, folk and classical lol! Would be Orbital, Altern-8, Josh Wink, Prodigy, Moby, SL2, Beltram, Shades of Rhythm, Shamen, Acen, Oceanic, K-Klass, etc etc in terms of live acts really.
@@stevebandit1964 I'd describe the 80s more as the rise of Acid House & Ibiza into illegal warehouse Raves, then the 90s the full commercial Rave scene. I don't count festivals as having much influence on it at least in UK, the influence was the underground clubs and illegal venues.
i don't like when they start using "real" instruments when the original tracks were electronic. it just looses its magic. keep electronic music electronic

You're from Cornwall (you have my sympathies) wouldn't you rather live in St.Agnes, St.Ives or Porthleven with ll the middle classes than some cesspit like Penzance or Redruth where everyone is wearing tracksuits, goatee beards and called Dave (and that's just the women)?
@@revol148 He's not wrong though it was fairly cheesy even back then, Dance music was on its way out from the beginning to mid 90s as it became more commercialised and less interesting. The real dance scene was 87 to 92

@@McKluskie 87-92 was the golden years, I didn't go to my first rave until 94 as I was too young but I've always been into that era. It was all soo original and raw. '92 is probably my favourite year in dance. I've got no hate for Faithless but to call it rave is a stretch, its pop-dance drivel. Theres some good remixes out there though.
