I like the longer breakdowns, explaining how they're fixed.
Thank you
I do too. Although RUclips shorts is incredibly addictive lol
The worst bit is you know what they should do, but you also know what they will, which is the minimum. Love the vids keep them coming 👍
So true
"Look at that, Look at this, SHOCKING!!" I LOVE IT. I like the explanation on how these can be fixed. Interesting...
Glad you liked it!
These weep vents, why aren't the companies being prosecuted for fraud. This is not a mistake but a deliberate attempt to mislead the customer.
Thanks I really enjoy these videos
They will claim no knowledge of it. They aren't buildingit, Bricklayers are (sub contractors)
@ken elliott Ford don't make the bits for their cars, they just assemble them, but they are still liable. I would say its the developers issue.
Shouldnt the twisted toilet water feed be replaced? It'll likely leak much earlier than it should, having been installed like that?
Also how do they clean the mold off bare timber? Bleach will just bleach the colour out of the surface and allow it to grow back
When are you going to release a merch line? Teas with "Winklespanner" and "Redickulass".
Looking forward to more of your unique Welsh humour and take on things.
Love this
Hey mate, loving this new format, giving the viewers what they're been asking for. No fake weep vents here, just good content, proper job. 👍
Thank you I’m trying!! Haha
Thanks, this is really interesting and useful. I’ll keep it in mind if I ever look at a new build.
Although nothing in my old house is square at all. 😂
Really like these longer breakdowns. Do you think in future ones, you could give a short explanation, for the layman, of the impact the individual snags would cause?
I.e. is it just cosmetic and looks crap. Or is it something that's going to impact the building, create risks, etc.
I know some of them are obvious. But I'd be interested to learn more.
Yeah! Let me get used to being on camera lol 😂
Second that.
@@newhomequalitycontrol if this is your first time showing yourself on camera, you did brilliant! Looked comfy and lighting etc all good :)
Love these videos they're brilliant. Also FINALLY found out what a weep vent is supposed to be. I know I could look it up myself but I'm lazier than most of the cowboys whose "ridikulousness" is featured in your videos.
Love watching these videos. Puts me off new builds for life
Thank you
Really enjoy these videos breaking down the shockers! Keep it up mate
... brilliant breakdown vids Orlando... keep 'em coming boyo! 👍
Loving the more regular video's! These breakdowns are great!!
More to come!
Absolutely shockin', massively out of plumb,...love these videos.
Thanks for these. They are great!
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed! Il make more if these get more views
brilliant keep em coming
These break downs are fab !!!
Thank you! Don’t forget to like the video and share the videos! It all helps! If we get good views I can make more of these!
I always use gold screws when hanging doors and put the ones supplied to one side and fit them later as they are quite soft and get rounded over by carpet fitters & decorators etc with their black & decker drills fitted with a rusty ph2 bit
Just don’t hand it over with non matching screws
Love your videos they are rrrriiiiiiiidicuous 👌🏽👍🏽
Love these 👌👌👌
For the algorithm.
Another video that's great 👍
Thank you 😊
Brilliant work sir. Sad you can’t name and shame. Quality control may improve that way.
Hello Lovely, thanks for exposing these 'Wet 🍋's'
2:23 So I would say someone has cut the plasterboard box in right next to a timer stud - so the wing of the box can't be pushed out. Then they've trimmed the wing off with a junior hack-saw. If I'm correct, a solution would be to use wood screws to fix the box to the timber stud that was in the way. I've seen this sort of thing when a switch or something has to be in an exact position but the stud work doesn't allow it.
Interesting
Cow boys still havent learnt. Come to edinburght & the lothians there's plenty new builds for you to check out
Love these videos, really helps me know what to look at when i'm getting a second viewing on a house (looking to buy at the moment).
The air bricks don’t need the ground level reducing. They could just from a brick surround around the air brick then refill the surround to within 75mm of the brick. Or cut a half moon pipe around it. It is more concerning where the dpc level is !
In my new build property I recently bought, light switches were installed inside the door frame. According to them, there are no electrical regulations for this issue. They refuse to move the lightswitches.
Can you advise me what to do?
I love your videos !
To be fair, that internal wall next to the stairs, if it's 22mm out, it needs to be feathered in 14mm to bring it into tolerance. If they can take a little off at the top, then maybe they can get it within tolerance without it having to overhang the stair
Love watching these videos. Absolutely shocking! Rrrridicalus! lol
Glad you like them!
Love these breakdowns. Question for you, I know every house is different, but how long roughly does it take to do a full inspection per property on say a 3-4 bed house?
3-4 hours
@@newhomequalitycontrol thanks, and keep up the good work
Love these videos. Is a dirgle valve the same as an admittance valve
Yes air admittance valve
The wall at the bottom of stairs, out of plumb, but that a big job to sort out potential the joist would need to be move as well to get to run true all the way up.
Granted there no excuse on new builds to leave stuff like this.
Shocking!!
Yeah it’s a nightmare
you missed one then on the weep vents there was no compo under the catnic
I want you to know that I now condemn bad situations by saying that they’re shocking. I also say “look at this!” And also “look at that!”
Actually, I am interested in this subject, not just your lovely voice.
Thank you 😂😂
My son is going round saying "what in the yeeha" at every wrong thing he sees. :)
What did you call the door hinges? I see this stuff all the time too. "Shockin'" ! will fall from my mouth when I see these types of things which is often, and it is indeed ridiculous & shocking
Have you ever snagged a house from Shanly homes? We're quite happy with our house as are our neighbours
If they are installing fake weep vents, how sure are you that they actually installed the cavity tray?
It’s called agency workers
SHOCKING !! 🤣
They need you to make these videos BEFORE they hand it over.
Wish you would do a wall of shame, who's the worst offenders, which company and also has any site manager tried to bribe you yet.
I can do the best ones but not the worst
You frequently mention the site agent is ultimately responsible for quality, majority of agents have no trade background, and this must be the only industry where you can walk in to management with zero experience. House builders will employ dummies to reach their targets. Ergo poor houses.
Absolutely shocking
Face to that voice epic videos
Out of plumb brickwork, how is that being sorted?
Knocking done the external skin of brickwork
These new houses are built with expanded foam and no nail if you are lucky... 😂😂
Any chance for a top 10 worst developers you ever came across and another top10 best?
Agree - should be naming and shaming
I’m going to do top 5, but all developers build good and bad homes guys.
Man! I thought craftsmanship in the US was bad. Wtf UK! There is no fixing this, it needs to be razed and rebuilt. Who would buy a house like this? Really disturbing.
Lack of training, skills & accountability..... From the management down.
We need to see some of this stuff being fixed or is this just an entertainment show?
We’re a snagging company not a fixing company. We can only get footage of the issues and then we can explain how to fix them. The homeowner hires us to inspect the property, we provide a report with photos and descriptions which they pass on to the devs to rectify for free
You've got the easiest and best job in the World then! 😁
They've got to stop all this self employment and start guys cards in. They would maybe show a bit more pride in their work. There's too much deskilling in the building game.
Can you build my house please?
shocking
where are you from?
Wales, Uk wide company
@@newhomequalitycontrol nice i'm half welsh =)
Don't blame the workmen, blame the employers underpaying them, taking on lowest bidder sub-contractors, and instilling a culture of speed over quality at every level.
"it just looks like a mortar joint"
No, No it doesn't
Hey dude, open to a collab?
Il check you out
@@newhomequalitycontrol this isn't my biz profile dude
Not really snagging is it ,just crap workmanship!
Do you ever get sick of finding stuff. Does it always get fixed and do you ever get come back from the developer?
It gets repetitive, yes the majority of things get fixed. We pride ourselves on strong reports and high fix rates
@@newhomequalitycontrol thanks !
