fully qualified tuna melts :D
the 'non' corner stone under the widow sill is almost unfathomable.
Yep, that was outstandingly bad. Ridiculous!
I learning so many new insults from this channel.😊
“We can do a nice latté.” Had me in stitches 😂 What an absolute Baristo-barbarian.
"Would you like a snagger with a good sense of humour, sir?"
"Oh yes, please. I'll need a good laff after you hand over my totally defective property."
Moon landing finish im introducing this to my designer looks very good 😂😂😂😂
One of the best ones yet 😂 Keep up the good work fella 👍
Thank you!! We do try to bring the best content to you!
The workmanship is second to none 😂😂😂
Absolutely shocking lol 😂 womble flap.... Love it. Great channel.
Laughed my head off watching this! Great video!
Mate you got me checking every inch of my house
Amazingly funny brilliant channel 😂
Moon landing finish 😂😂
I haven't worked as a site labourer for 5 years now. I don't miss it one bit. But you remind me of so many shocking jobs that I've witnessed. Thanks man 😜
Houses built 100 years ago were a work of art. Tradesmen had such pride in their work. Much more character in the houses and quality materials used. Houses build today are thrown up because everyone is on a price work and so many different contractors are involved now instead of building companies carrying all their own tradesmen and keeping everything in house.Years ago tradesmen had to do a five year, or even in some cases, a seven year apprenticeship. Now some do a two week course and then think they're a joiner or bricklayer.I would never buy a new build property!
From a distance, the foam looks like cherry blossom 🌸🌸🌸
🤣 I love watching these videos for the comedy. If you didn't laugh then you would cry at the poor standard the tuna melts work to.
I'd love to know where you get your vocab from, I'm just going to park Womble flap next to all the others.
Absolutely wonderful
Simple way to stop this is for compulsory snag inspections by independently appointed snaggers BEFORE money finally changes hands, plus penalty fines against developers to compensate a buyer for wasted time. Also compulsory industry fault stats published with individual developers named & shamed. You would soon see developers change their attitude to poorly finished work. This is a completely solvable problem.
Why don't these clowns that sign them off get reprimanded? Roofs and everything not even screwed down 🙄
If I go back in time and lose the revolutionary war, will you cover the American colonies if we're in the UK?
Great ending, where you explain what your role is in the process.
Detachable window handles if you wanna take them to work with you 😂😂😂😂
Who in there right mind would buy a new build today
Everyone lol
the only "negatives" that people quote about new builds are poor finish and "they all look the same" - professional snaggers just need to hold the builders to accounts and get them to fix the issues. There are plenty of benefits to new builds too (energy efficient, ready to move into)
@@abcmsaj .... I've been in the building trade since I was 14yrs old I'm now 55 years ago housed were built traditionally with care and pride every trade use to work together now trades don't give a shit the sites I've been on and I've worked for some of the big firms over the years no more I finished with site work about 15yr ago because of the corners building firms cut all their interedged in is banging them up as quick as possible and get that money in the bank one firm owner said it was like printing your own money.
I completely agree. All new housing estates are so depressing, houses rammed in to get the maximum profit, internal roads too narrow, not enough parking by far, tiny back gardens overlooked by everyone around you, often no front gardens at all - the list goes on
Too many buyers like the idea of a
(Sorry!) - too many buyers like idea of an easy move, nothing to do but choose curtains, etc - if only they'd known what state the house would be handed over in..! And, like new cars, new homes lose value as soon as they're no longer new and appliances are now second hand, so you can't just sell up and move too quickly. Better to look for an older property, built on a bigger footprint of land, with proper sized roads !
It's melt central!
They will put it right......does not always happen ....and they call what few done....a gesture of Goodwill
Buyers want and expect a perfect home (that cost a minimum of hundreds of thousands of pounds), obviously the builder and the house developers think thats completely unreasonable and home owners are far too fussy (f***ing right we are 😡).
I found about about your channel and company too late but also money was extremely tight after the purchase.
The things I have found wrong with my flat, in Norwich, Norfolk, by myself makes me want to ask you in even if for the purpose of purely naming and shaming.
Not to mention more ammunition for my dealings with the NHBC.
I love your videos, they’re hilarious. Except, it’s not hilarious at all for the poor people that have actually bought these houses. Calling you in to do an inspection is obviously money we’ll spent.
Snagging inspector woohoo sombody made a trade up 🎉😂
Detachable window handles does sound handy to take to work. Is there a local stockist in the SE of England?
Lol 😂
OOh, really useful! I keep trying to lock my family in the house while I go to work, but they keep getting out the window. These are perfect for my needs!
These new sight agents are terrible on sites my dad works on they call them pilot lights cause they never go out ie never go out of there site office to check anything 😂
I just want to know why you had an Oxo cube on your person.
BTEC level 5 winklespanners.
Don't suppose you need someone in the Northamptonshire area mate?
Wish I could afford to hire u. My place has issues that the developers workers keep denying. Not cool of them.
How do these cowboys get away with this kind of shoddy workmanship? Blows my mind.
people buy off plan sometimes before a single brick is laid, if the house needed to be built and inspected before going up for sale all this would stop
I rarely do residential, but I suppose it's just economics now (in the same way that retail price-in shoplifting): it's cheaper to fix the small percentage of snags that get caught, than do it right first time?
SHOCKING 🤣
One chewing gum and an oxo cube out 🤣🤣. These trades should be ashamed
Mushrooms 😂
Price work is to blame ,mentallity of lads working away on sites is earn as much as possible ,an i dont really blame em ,before 2008 we used to get a building inspector from the local council and an indepentant one on sites after that recession it seemed to stop ,and after the inspectors seemed to work for the companys undertaking the building work ,site managers offered big bonuses for finnishing early etc ,stuff on ere shocking but work isnt always right or wrong theres acceptable level an then ya best work which takes time ,if ya on price work then general mentallity is to go for the lowest acceptable level in the quickest time ,
So zero pride in their work, and because it's price work that's totally okay. What a load of bollox.
@@marko1310 didnt mean it ok ,just wat id seen from years on site
This comment is exactly what I’m talking about! Nothing you have said here is correct. Some builders have in house quality inspections but they also have to have independent sign off , that has never been a choice , 2008 had nothing to do with it. The expectation of most people buying new build today is they want it perfect like it’s been built in a factory , this is because of the lack of education and understanding . It’s easy sitting working at a computer all day and it’s easy picking fault. We have a mass shortage of skilled trades in this country because most people today are lazy and want to sit looking at screens all day. Maybe all the moaners should feel blessed that we have people who are building houses and providing homes for these people that can’t do it and haven’t got a scooby. Go and buy a second hand house and renovate it, hire people in and let’s see how that works out for you and your pockets.
Mate i would'nt worry to much about the posts been 20mm out especially with big 8 by 4 fence panels blowing in the wind there's bount to be movement
It's 25mm out and just handed over
Im in the process of buying a new build with Barratts and will be giving you a call when we get the legal stuff done. Are Barrats homes on par with David Wilson homes which you rated fairly highly?
Barrats and David Wilson are the same company.
@Jonathan Wilson I'm aware that they're a part of the same group but my understanding is that DW homes are different (usually bigger and have a different style). I only asked because when this channel rated different house builders he stated DW homes but not Barrats so I thought there might be a difference in build quality between the two.
@@DrBenson21 The inner workings will be basically the same. The only difference in price/quality will be with stuff like internal fixings (bathroom, kitchen etc) They may also spend a little more on the face work - nicer bricks etc
@@jonathanwilson8951 DWH homes are generally more spacious and are of completely different design to Barratts. Whilst Barratts Developments own both companies, they acquired DWH and opted to keep the two brands separate, they also opted to keep DWH build-style. We were looking at both Barratts and DWH for our home and opted for DWH because we preferred the build-style and more spacious design.
They will both be of similar build quality. We purchased a DWH Kennett and absolutely love it. We also got New Homes Quality Control to do our snagging and they were great. They pulled up just under 100 snags and DWH were pretty quick off the bat at getting them sorted. It has to be said too, the snags they pulled were all aesthetic and none relating to the structure of the property, which was a relief.
In my official report ,please can you use the words winkkelspanner and tuna melt.
I personally would never ever buy a new build as I use to deal with them.
10 Year Guarantee, not worth the paper it is Printed on,
Shocking and ridiculous!
He didn't use "shocking" on this video 😅
You must be making a fortune with the shite that’s being knocked up nowadays. I would not touch a new build, newest house we had was 10 years old and it was awful, Persimmon were the builders.
Name and shame! Which developers sites are these..?
He can't say or the company would probably sue him the very next day!
It is so depressing seeing just how little pride there is in some of the snags you show. The time it took to phuk it up was no more than to do it properly. Also, where are the building inspectors in all this?? Oh, there are none....
Because the inspector is the cowboy builders dad
Hope you get these pathetic site agents punted for these pathetic jog passes.
"Shocking" Finally you didn't used it on this video 😂😅
All of this is bad. But the cutouts beneath the sink come on!. It's just pure laziness and guess work!. If these site foreman/managers jobs were at risk and reviewed/measured against all the badly built/finished ones that they had signed-off...you would soon see these disasters quickly correct themselves.
I think national property developers need to be measured the same way (although the government haven't the balls to do it - they put the UK and buyers in this position in the first place!), remove thier building licence...close them down. That's the way you enhance fear , and quality and receive 'expected' value for money.
It looks like a old house its criminal what these house builders are doing
Womble 😅
I hate cowboy builders, dont you Tonto?
Clerks of works arent really necessary for new builds, they only need to pass building control and then the BCO is liable. Although there are examples of poor standards of work, you're providing a largely unnecessary service and giving ALL housing developers a bad name. Builders won't get paid any extra and they'll be the ones that suffer. A slightly bent lintel isn't gonna cause the house to fall down now is it..? It's OK though because you can ride around job to job on your high horse and profit from it all 👏👏
Yes, because it's the snaggers who are at fault. Nothing to do with developers purposely cutting corners and handing over absolutely shocking builds for exorbitant prices(!)
low IQ comment
Real life tuna melt posting in the comments
Blimey what a ridiculous post. If you're happy to live in a house like the ones he sees with a roof not strapped down, terrible fit and finish and brick work out of square, feel free. Oh and can you make sure to pay about £80,000 over the price of a similarly-sized older property too?
Compared to my house that was built in 1954, which has had 0 work done, besides removing the 5 inch re-enforced concreate coal bunker. You're just justifying profit for developers that are benefiting poor quality standards, whilst the customer get's saddled with the hassle.
