Dark of the moon is a 10/10 when it comes to pure action set pieces and visuals. Sadly non of the movies stood out when it comes to writing.
Dark of the moons plot was pretty decent, and so was the first movie, revenge of the fallen tho just felt bland and didn’t explain how megatron met the fallen and acting was just awkward

@@matiasmansilla2319 The thing is they keep changing the plot each movie, there's not real continuity when it comes to the transformers themselves. We go from the cube to the matrix, then to the pillars, then to some other shit, it's just annoying. I think the plot was good at times, but overall it just didn't make much sense, especially all the side character story lines that just went to nowhere.

I really hope the producers will FINALLY accept the fact that the directors are having Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts be a reboot. The producers keep trying to connect them but it's like fitting two obviously not matching jigsaw puzzle parts together
After I got home from Transformers One yesterday, I put on Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and while rewatching it, I went, “I dig this.” There are things to criticize, but if you’re going to a Transformers movie to see massive robots and epic action sequences, then it satisfies. I think there are multiple Transformers that are stronger than Dark of the Moon, but it’s definitely a good time.
Dark of the Moon is easily the most entertaining and action packed of the bunch. So much going on, and I dig it

Yes thank you! That’s also me with Dark of the Moon, sure the 3rd act is visually impressive but that doesn’t make up for the first 2 acts being a chore to sit through and by the end it just rings hollow.

I'm a lifelong Transformers fan. For me, there is only 1 Transformers film I can sit through and watch all the way through is Bumblebee.
Hello sean!, there is one more transformers movie you must watch, it's the transformers prime beast hunters predacons rising (ik it's a long name) it's a continuation of a series tf prime , like the first animated movie but i believe it to be the best movie to ever come out of this series but sadly highly overlooked! Transformers the last knight is the worst one that I never finish watching it. The rest of them are watchable. That’s what I think.

Last Knight is honestly such a funny movie to me. Anthony Hopkins looks like he's having a helluva time with such an awful script lmfao.
S+++: Predacons Rising (the finale of transformers prime saga, this isn't even close, all films below combined aren't even half of what this film is)
S: Transformers One (might genuinely be film of the year, the one film i needed taking place in that cybertron era and the sequel might show us the beginning of the long war which i can't wait), Rise of the beasts (ignoring the GI Joe stuff, this human cast was kinda fun and there's unicron and mirage), Bumblebee (i'd love to see a sequel to this, the human cast was probably my favorite)
A: Age of extinction (hot take but i love this film, also lockdown), Dark of the moon (best action out of every live action transformers movie), transformers 2007 (the og)
B: Revenge of the fallen (the forest battle aka the greatest transformers fight i've ever seen carries this a tier higher, the story is a mess)
C: Transformers the movie (pretty good for it's time but it's fallen off a lot)
D: The Last Knight (action is quite cool but that's all the praise it gets because 10 different storylines combined in one is never a good idea and still mcu did eternals for some reason, i like the isabella character and the creator story with nemesis prime should have been the best part of all the michael bay films but after 1 bad-ass convo with vivian and one alright bee fight it was taken off. I wish this was better because this was built as an epic cybertron vs earth war but this is an absolute disgrace except some action)

Why are people actually thinking Rise of the beasts is good?? The story was cheesy, predictable, and the CGI was often poorly done. Worst semi variant of Optimus ever on top of all the other problems with it.
Another thing is yes, ROTF is not the best movie, and certainly the weakest of the OG trilogy, but it should NEVER ever be ranked lower than Age of extinction, The Last Night, and Rise of the beasts.
Top tier is Transformers 2007, Dark of the Moon, and Bumblebee.
Revenge of the fallen a tier lower. I have not seen one yet.
Everything else is between C and F
I think its because the robots actually felt like characters and not reasons for explosions. ROTF should most definitely be ranked lower than ROTB and AOE. It's the second worst movie. The only reason you watch ROTF is for the forest fight scene and the final battle with OP, Megatron, and the fallen.

the only thing i will change here will be putting the 2007 Transformers movie in S. That graphics and the action scenes were great in 2007 and it still holds up compared to its sequels.

I’m jealous that other people got more out of Dark of the Moon than I did, because I think it’s insane to say it’s the best of the franchise.
Also, the 1986 film ranks lower for me because there’s a few elements of it that are just too quirky for me. The scene where the literally take time away from the plot to dance with junkions really rubbed me the wrong way. It feels so out of place.

1. Transformers One. Great world building great characters great everything almost perfect 9.5/10 only thing is it is aimed at kids.
2.Transformers 2007 AND revenge of the fallen. I love 2007 as a movie. Great story and funny moments. But I prefer revenge of the fallen even though it had very awkward and not a great script. I felt the action was great.9/10 9/10
3. Dark of the moon. Yes the final fight is sick but first two acts are boring 8.5/10
4. Bumblebee. Great movie but for a transformers film it doesn’t feel like a transformers movie but u still love it 8.5/10
5. The last knight. Soooo underrated. The fight scenes are epic and yeah humans suck but it is entertaining and enjoyable. 8/10
For me, it is Transformers: The Movie (the 1986 original) Legend. Also Transformers One would be in Legend too. Bumblebee would be in the Great category,... are there any others? The others just don't seem to be canon for me, Transformers by name alone.

Transformers is my favorite franchise of all time. I love every single movie except the Last Knight. Dark of the moon is my favorite movie of all time, but Transformers one might be the best Transformers movie in my opinion. I would defend the twins until the day I die. They were not racist. They were the funniest parts of revenge of the fallen.

Sean while I personally dont to tiers or rankings, I always enjoy your tiers, rankings, and reviews, everything is always so honest and heartfelt, because a lot of things that you do enjoy, you di because they hit home for you in a special way, and you are always open and in depth of everything, never been interested in the transformers films till now, but your input, even of the bad ones, has me intrigued, I thank-you for broadening my horizons, tho I did see Bumblebee (2018) and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2024) cause some of my friends wanted to go, and I did enjoy them
Transformers (2007) is and forever will be the sheep of all Transformers movies. Shia and Michael Bay killed that. Optimus and Bumblebee became super iconic. And it’s just odee entertaining. Idk, I loved it.

I'm semi-ashamed to admit I kinda enjoy Transformers 2: revenge of the fallen.
It's like a fever dream that keeps you guessing what insanity they're gonna throw at your face next, and to me, that makes for a perfect movie night with friends. Also, the single greatest thing in the movie is that they made Optimus an absolute BEAST in combat, and essentially the fixer of all wrongs.
I have not watched any of the Bay sequels. Bumblebee is easily my favorite and I enjoyed Rise of the Beasts and One. I remember liking the 2007 movie, but I haven't watched it in years.
You're ranking these in an objective matter, which makes sense. But for me, as a Transformers fan, I enjoy all of these movies. I don't know about the new one though, since I haven't seen it.
Revenge of the Fallen is definitely a disappointing movie, but the forest fight scene is my favourite action sequence of all time. Optimus was badass and inspirational

Haven't seen TLK because AoE was so bad, it killed the series for me and it took a lot of convincing for me to come back for Bumblebee, which I'm glad I did.
The OG Animated Movie was fantastic and from an era when animated storytelling was superior to the modern day. Transformers One is visually the single best modern animation I have ever laid eyes on, character designs were phenomenal, story was beautifully written, and the action scenes were near flawless.
Why isn't the Transformers: Prime movie here? 🤔

Thought maybe you'd do a Batman movie ranking, seems so it's Batman Day.
I disagree as a diehard Transformers fan my S Tier is Transformers One, Bumblebee, Rise of the Beasts, and Transformers 86. I liked the Bay films but they don't feel like The Transformers I was watching 40 years ago just tons of mindless action and explosions I don't want to see anymore of that!!! I forgot the useless sexual and potty humor of them too!!
