Lelouch buried him with the locket then yes he really accepted Rolo as a brother.
Rolo is my favorite of all in this anime. He was the most real. If you have ever been led down the wrong path but then found something to live/die for.... you should relate to how awesome he truly is...

@@unangelos2695 it's sad when you think about it. Rolo thought that if Nunnally were to be reunited with Lelouch he'd be thrown away like garbage, so he killed Shirley who proclaimed her statement.
Lelouch accepted Rolo as a brother, even if he called him a phony or that he will use him and then throw him like a piece of trash. Maybe it was because he was with Rolo for one whole year. The memories they made together were real even if the latter (Rolo) was there to keep an eye on Lelouch, in case his memories where back. Maybe, on the other way, Lelouch accepted him because Rolo never had a family, and by the love Lelouch gave him, he started to understand what real family feels like. Maybe Lelouch felt bad about him because he was raised in the Geass Directorate with no one to make him feel like he had a family. But even if Lelouch didn't like the fact that Rolo was there to replace Nunally, a person Lelouch cares deeply for, he accepted him and showed him what kind of love there is in a family. Although they weren't real brothers, Lelouch loved Rolo. Even in the one they were together, they learned each others personality, and that's why Rolo saw through Lelouch's lie, as Lelouch put it. Lelouch even felt concerned and worried when Rolo used his Geass to save him from the Black Knights betrayal. But Rolo continued using it, even when he knew that he was going to die because he wanted to save Lelouch. And Lelouch, once Rolo died, buried him with the locket. The fact that he put the locket in Rolo's grave, saws how deeply Lelouch cared for him. Maybe Lelouch wanted to bury him in a better place too, although it's not mentioned, but I doubt that he wanted to bury him in a deserted place like that. Maybe once he became Emperor did bury Rolo somewhere else. Or if not, I hope that he will visit his grave on the day he died, now that Lelouch is alive! By the first time I saw Rolo, I can say that I never felt hate for him, even when he killed Shirley. He would have been able to control when to kill someone if he wasn't told that he was a machine for killing. Because in the Geass Directorate, he was told that his Geass was made for killing. But the ability to alter someone's sense of time is nothing of the short. You can use it for other things. But as we all suspected, they told him that so that they'll use him and make him kill anyone who knows about them, and could pose a threat for them, or because they wanted to kill anyone who stood in their way. Or maybe to keep secrets about their activities. Either way, Rolo was lucky that he met Lelouch because he gave him the love he didn't know. He gave him a family. Their relationship would have been good if Rolo lived. I'm sure of it.
Now I pity him when I hated him for killing Shirley and trying to replace nunnally. But he did save lelouch, I actually felt bad he died he just wanted a family. I'm glad that lelouch accepted him :) Lelouch Ftw and Rolo Ftw!!!
I never really liked nunnally expectually at the near end of the series as she got even more whinny than before and didn't even try to go to lelouch and ask what was going on just went along with schniezal the whole way. Rolo was the most real of them all. You could see the naivety in his eyes and feel the want for love flowing from him when he was near lelouch. He was my favorite and he beat out nunnally in my book every day.
I think this is a perfect representation of Lelouch. If you think about it, it just shows how everyone around a person can be brought joy or sadness by that relationship.
I will be forever speechless at how Loulou can go from evil and then suddenly act like nothing happened. it's amazing. . . .
I still comeback to this Rolo truly was epic. I cant even begin
hey! Rolo died saving Lelouch's life!! and u shouldn't be glad that someone, anyone in general, died. And sure, Rolo killed Shirley, but he was only doing what he thought was for the better. In the end, Rolo realized his mistakes and redeemed it.
I hated him, but dammit, he redeemed himself in the end. Boss way to go!
I think Rolo is just an misunderstood character... I can understand why people would hate him, but seriously, u just can't ignore his cuteness and what not... I wuvies Rolo, and the video was awesum! A very tragic, yet great brotherly video... ^^
Yeah, Lelouch cared for him in the end but not at first.
I started crying near the end. Just like every other time when I try to watch episode 19.
Rolo did not " redeem" himself because he felt bad for the things he did but rather because he loved Lelouch and was protecting him. He was very possessive of Lelouch which is a contribution of reason why he killed Shirley and attempted to kill Nunnally.
The footage and the lyrics of the song matched perfectly. I like how you sequenced that. Very effective to the theme of the video.

At first i hated Rolo, but when he came back for Lelouch, it moved me. It's very hard to make me cry, especially when watching movies or reading books, but i was on the verge of tears when Rolo saved Lelouch and then his heart stopped T^T

can you honestly blame him for killing Shirley? he was brought up only to kill, just to kill, he knows only to kill. its the geass orders fault for twisting him while lelouch was able to get out his true human side eventually

at the begining I was like .__. "nanully's replacment? eh..." then I was after he killed shirly "I hate him." Then after lellouch yelled at him , "I kinda feel sorry for him" But when he saved his brother after he had said everything and ended up dying I was crying so hard, knowing that Rolo had won my heart ;__;

Rolo was probably my favorite character in the whole series. Even he had an almost insignificant role, I thought his depth of character brought more to the "plate" of Code Geass. Rolo sure made the experience a hundred times better, at least for me, when I watched itt(:

That part brought some tears to my eyes, but it can not compare at all to Lelouch's death.

I don't get why people hate Rolo so much. (IMO) I think he actually really cared about Lelouch, at least during the end. He actually fought V.V. in the Siegfried until his Knightmare's legs were blown off, trying to do what Lelouch wanted, and Lelouch was planning on killing him. He even gave up his life for Lelouch. You can't get more loyal than that. I miss that kid.

the ending was so sad cause it reminded me of Rolo's death. The AMV wasn't that beautifully cut and the effects were slightly distracting due to slight off timings but thankfully the lyrics stayed true and the song flowed well (at least you didn't make the amv look like it was paired with a rock song) so while it wouldn't be the best amv, this really made me think about Rolo. Really good, it touched my heart (x Rolo is just so sad, he prefers to be loved and used than to been never loved at all

Yeah, at the moment of his death he even says that Lelouch made him feel what it was like to be human. In the flashbacks, it looks like he started killing people when he was a little kid. That's gotta leave marks.

Actually, the part where she died was her best performance (no, not in the negative way). What I mean is, if her character was like that last part (when she found Rolo and after he did his number on her) throughout the whole series, she might have been a better addition than the complex girl with poor self confidence that has no clue what she wants.

@TemporaryInsanityMan He didn't believe lelouch loved him, he just never had anyone who cared for him in his live so he was pretty much happy with the lie. That's why while he was dying he said even though none of it is real the time they spent together was. Even though he was being used the time they spent together made him happy for first time in his life and that was worth dying for.
Everyone knocks Rolo, but I loved him. His death definitely made me tear up.

Yes, but that's because Lelouch's plans involved military battles with GIANT FRIGGIN' ROBOTS!!! Ya can't get much more complex than strategy with that.
Light's plans were plans of murder, without anything like real-time strategy, so he could be 'more complex'.
But, technically, Lelouch's Zero Requiem was the most complex plan of all - after all, when did he start it - the first season, maybe? And who guessed what the plan was until the end?
Also, Light just wanted to kill people.
