    This is probably the stroke with the most variation. Every video I saw incorporate different techniques, some say knees should not bend, some says it should bend slightly, some focuses on whole body undulation, etc.
    But your technique on snapping your knee to generate power makes the most sense

    Hi. This is probably my second comment on RUclips. I have to admit, been watching different butterfly swimming techniques for the last 12 years, ever since I have been swimming it. This video clip has been the most impressive I've ever watched. I tried the sweeping of the arms today and it made a huge difference.
    This is actually the key to the whole stroke. Thank you so much for this advice. You are a Godsend ❤

    One question, is it wrong not to fully empty our lung when exhaling in water? my coach told me to fully exhale air out of my lung and then inhale air.

    • @RocketSwimming
      @RocketSwimming  Год назад +1

      Not at all, it's not wrong to keep some air in your lungs when swimming. In fact, maintaining partially filled lungs can help with buoyancy and staying afloat more easily. It's all about finding the balance that works best for you in the water. Experiment with different lung capacities to see what feels most comfortable during your swim. Happy swimming!

    Is butterfly (and breaststroke) considered a lifesaving stroke? Is this a stroke that should be learned to possible save lives or to rescue someone?

    • @RocketSwimming
      @RocketSwimming  Год назад +1

      Thanks for your comment! While the butterfly and breaststroke aren't typically considered lifesaving strokes, their strong kicking motion can be useful in certain rescue situations. It's important to stay calm and assess the situation before jumping in the water.
      I would say that Front Crawl and Black Float are best for survival.
