Back in high school I was a deep Tupac fan, I had 10 of his unrealeased albums and all (now days it is released or is on RUclips). I would listen to this song, you can hear the emotion in his voice. The details in the song are deep. Tupac was always believed to have deep relactionship with Biggie's wife (as well as jada pinkett smith too). As well as the video with the dancing and song was making fun of Biggies videos/songs. Tons of details of its time. Check out Tupac better days with mr biggs or Pain or Confessions with Bizzy Bone. Gotta check out Trublesome 96 which Jay Z sampled it. Old School Smile When Thugs Cry (Like Prince when Doves Cry)

I love tupac and this song, but for me the best diss track is no Vaseline by ice cube. He didn't just diss nwa, he obliterated them so badly, even they conceded that he won without a doubt. It was one of the most vicious diss tracks ever made. Definitely check it out if you likes this one.
@@AlexHefner it is. It's actually so good that i would recommend keeping the train rolling and doing it next, but if you can't swing that, check it out on your own time because it is geniunely that good. I'm sure you know who nwa is, ice cube was their lyric writer and then the group had some strong disagreements because their manager was ripping them off big time and ice cube was the only one to see it and the rest of them accused ice cube of being greedy and refused to listen so ice cube left the group and then the dumbasses wrote a diss about him in one of their songs, without taking into consideration that they just dissed the guy that was previously writing all their lyrics. So ice cube wrote no Vaseline and dropped it and it was like a nuclear bomb, it just destroyed nwa.
@@AlexHefner It's kind of sad cuz Tupac only made Hit em up because he thought Biggie and Puffy had something to do with him getting shot in New York at a recording studio. So what happened is that Tupac and Biggie were friends, but Tupac got shot in New York in a recording studio, at the time upstairs in the same Biggie, Jr Mafia, and Puffy were working on Biggie's album. Tupac believed that Biggie in the same building, him getting shot, 3 weeks later Biggie's album comes out with Biggie dressed in an all white suit calling himself a "Dom" straight out of the mafia. Tupac believed that it was to many conincidences and he thought Biggie planned it so he started running his mouth. It also didn't help that Biggie's attitude regarding Pac getting shot was "Oh well I'm sorry but it has nothing to do with me" Than you have the "East Coast West Coast War" which is being exaserbated by the media. Also sorry Alex but according to Biggie's wife Faith Evan "The Girl in the video Tupac is talking about" She has claimed in many interviews "I NEVER SLEPT WITH TUPAC"

So you had a highly publicized fued between the rappers , the heads of the two labels with their own ambitions, and the involvement of some of the most notorious gangsters from both coasts.
To put it nicely due to the characters involved It became a hotbed for violence and an inevitable bad end for the two big faces of East coat west coast War.
There's lots of info on the cases on youtube. Interviews with the investgators themselves as well as other musicians, gangsters etc who also had a good idea what went down.

His last words were literally "Fuck you" 😂
Cheers for the video mate, regards from Scotland 😎👌
Oh shiet I've became metalhead after listening to 2pac and other west Coast classics for years and you're coming back? God damn! You have to react to: so many tears, smile, ambitionz az a ridah
Absolutely
The Outlaw rapping 3:13 is Hussein Fatal. He died in a car crash in 2015 (his girlfriend crashed). The Outlaw rapping 5:15 is Yaki Kaddafi; he got shot in the head and was killed by the cousin of Outlaw Napoleon in 1996 (2 months after ‘pac got killed). RIP to the goats.
Tupac is 👑
AYOOOO! I haven’t been here for about 3 months now. I just thought I’d let ya know that slaughter to prevail is releasing a new song this year. There’s a vid up on yt with a preview.
Tupac wasnt coming with any subliminals he was letting it be known💯🙌🏼 not to get off topic but I love how you got elon in the background hitting a blunt while this is playing🤓 absolutely priceless 👏🏼😁
Hello from New England....Im a Metal guy and a drummer but there are some artists Like PAC that transcend genres..He was a true Poet in a gangsters body....PAC NWA CUBE DRE SNOOP WHOO TANG are the mountain that all other rappers stand....Sadly dis tracks this hard-core can end the way that things did in this case..Peace from the Northeast
The beat has been used a lot but was 1st Sampled by Eric B & Rakim for the Song "Paid in Full".
Same. Cried like I lost my bestfriend when
He died
I use to like Air Supply, John Farnham but then I discovered Tupac! That's a big jump from ballads to rap LOL
Hell yeah I've been waiting for this
Finally
Alex: “What was the response?”
Everyone: “They literally murdered him.”
I'm loving this new trend of 1st tme hearing of " hit em up " .
Keeps it alive & livin on.
I'm a 90s puberty fresh off highschool when this cameout, & oh yah, we were all hit em UP. 💪
I love tupac and this song, but for me the best diss track is no Vaseline by ice cube. He didn't just diss nwa, he obliterated them so badly, even they conceded that he won without a doubt. It was one of the most vicious diss tracks ever made. Definitely check it out if you likes this one.
no kidding?! that sounds awesome!
It also didn't help that Biggie's attitude regarding Pac getting shot was "Oh well I'm sorry but it has nothing to do with me"
Than you have the "East Coast West Coast War" which is being exaserbated by the media. Also sorry Alex but according to Biggie's wife Faith Evan "The Girl in the video Tupac is talking about" She has claimed in many interviews "I NEVER SLEPT WITH TUPAC"
@@K1ng1995 of courses she's not going to admit she cheated on her dead husband with his most hated enemy if she did it. I don't know truth of the matter, but pac was not known to lie about anything let alone something that serious, tupac was actually well known for his stance on telling the truth being one of the most important things for a man to do unless it the lie was to the cops to redirect them in an investigation. And tupac definitely had the game to pull it off. But we'll never know the truth for 100% but either way it was a pretty decent diss.
@@daltonevans3412 Fair enough I just miss the "Keep Ya Head Up" Tupac more so than this one. I mean the person that was at Ryker's Island is going to change his life, he's very reflective. This Tupac is saying Fuck New York, Fuck East Coast, I mean he was flashing money in front of MTV Cameras, yes I know the media blew it up.
You HAVE to do Eminem's "Quitter" now. A diss track against Everlast. Em rides this same beat perfectly.
really??!! oh shit thats crazy! reading this comment made me smile. thanks for that!
I subbed for this
Quitter is hard as fuck, but Tupac. C'mon.
Yes totally agree, Em is the 🐐. In my opinion and I've grown up liking Tupac as my guy. But there's no rapper better Dead or alive that's better than Em only em can do a song by Tupac or anybody and ride the beat to a tee.
@@chriswildhaber35 LOL Em's catalog is too trash. He's no GOAT. Get real.
Heard this when i was 7 and been the goat since. 23 years ago i heard this thing. Greetings from northern europe. Rip kadafi and 2pac
Hahaha I live in a small area and I rock Tupac on loud, this one is a vibe but his poetic songs are beautiful the different songs in his catalog have so much poetic lyricism it’s incredible
This song came out June 4, 1996
LL Cool J - The Ripper Strikes Back (Canibus Diss) (1998) I think this is a classic diss track that's very very close to Hit'em up by another legend in the old school rap world
Old school is a song by pac that alot of ppl don't talk about but is to me a classic
That whole record, Me Against The World, is awesome
The greatest diss of all time from the greatest rapper ever !!!!!!!
He isn’t the greatest rapper
@@TedCruz2028 In ur opinion.
@@DazoDer nas is the best rapper
Bro got check krs 1 his lyrical genius is second to none
Probably one of the few songs I liked of Tupac. Thanks for the sweet reaction, mate 🦘
He went after sickel cells🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 omg I died.
You need to check the history. "5 shots couldn't drop me, i took it and smiled". Refers to when he got robbed and shot in NYC by Biggies crew.
They deserve everything he said! Rest Well Tupac💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Tupac: Fuck this Fuck that Fuck
RUclips: Should we demonetize Alex or should we enjoy this legend Tupac rap his career out like crazy.
King of hiphop. That's it
Everyone from this video except one has passed. One of them died only a few months or something after Tupac
Dude I’ve been listening to this for the past couple days, freakin insane your name reacting to it. What a coincidence
Tupac 👑
I had hard time in my life for rap music, but i keep listening Tupac for years... specialy music videos he had just great spirit its very hard to find something simmilar.. i woud say i always loved Tupac same way how i liked Linkin Park or Rammstein.. i hate when people say i listen metal rap is bad... its not like this.. IF you love music you love all kinds of music.. people need to understand its not about style you listen.. if you like it, listen to it. . BTW Tupac have best remixes ever.. dope music they take his old song and make it in new way its pretty amazing.. every time i search for Tupac mixes i can find new ones... Now when Ukraine war happend you can already find video with Tupac music its worldwide legend.
Mobb Deep did do a response to Pac calling them out. It was called “Drop a Gem on em”. Check it out
The best diss track was 'No Vaseline' by Ice Cube directed to his old NWA crew which not only dismantled the crew, but it dismantled Ruthless records, ended Jerry Heller's executive producer career, cost Eazy E's life, Dr Dre moved to Death row with Suge Knight, Yella & MC Ren couldn't make any decent albums since, and NWA tried to respond but failed and conceded defeat
FACTS
How did no vaseline killed eazy ?
dude pharcyde one of my fav groups . video for drop is a trip.
"Softer than Alize with a chaser." One of the greatest shots ever fired lol
How long will they mourn me is one of my favorites.
He was the man
You got that energy bro!!! PURE AWESOMENESS!!!
Tupac - California all for me.
"oh my god, he throwing out their diseases too" 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Alex
I just replaced 2 of my tupac cds absolutely love tupac even today
Jajajaj 1 love 2pac !!!!!! Saludos desde Uruguay
Lifelong metal head . There's no denying pac
You have to react to Biggie's track "Who Shot Ya?"
"Hit Em Up" was Pac's response to that track!
“Tupac is literally just talkin shit but it rhymes”
I liked the video just from your intro. I love you good vibes man your videos always cheer me up when I'm having a shitty day and make the days better when there good
If you haven’t listened to all eyes on me in it’s entirety, you’ve got a month of gold right there
The Goat 🚀💪
[7:05-7:07] He said F u,tupac reply F u 2....that accurate moment.
Hip hop went from groups like Public enemy, Run DMC to 2pac to..... rappers today rundning around dressed up in skirts.
Even though hip hop was never really my genre I could always respect people like Pac, Chuck D, Ice-T. These people felt real.
And Pac was really something else.
Great reaction as usual Alex 👍
