Pakistan: Kalash life for a day .. more to follow !

- last week I went to Kalash valley to find out for myself about this curious region that sounded like a little slice a paradise. first the drive from Kalam to Chitral was a nightmare 12 hours on the worst roads I've been on ( when it came to the mountain roads) !! then from Chitral it was 2 hours by taxi to get to the Kalash valley of Bumburet and stayed in the village of Brun. I have many videos but had lost some clips on a memory stick and had issues with the rest! so I'm trying to piece things together.! I stayed at Bhuttos Guesthouse , although I was treated more like part of the family, I got on so well with his daughters that they dressed me every day and basically I lived like a local for a full week.i wore the traditional outfit every day...his lovely daughters I will never forget, Roweena helped me dress and do my hair every day, she and I spent a lot of time together walking and talking about life . there are so many traditions its hard to know where to begin...this tells a story of the "Menses" ( menstruation) house where the women go once a month! I knew nothing of all this when I went there, I had no internet so couldn't google anything .I have a few more to piece together, but I plan on going back to redo all this as now the more I know, the more I'm sure others may be interested to know..... these people and this family will hold a place in my heart forever... and the wine was really good too! They believe it prevents hepatitis,

It is an amazing place ! Nobody even says any curse words! The worst thing a Kalashi can say to another is call them a “son of a donkey” they are just so loving and happy with life, and a simple life at that ... I’m going to go back to stay and delve in more as there’s so so much more to show and tell... such a unique tribe and only 3,800 of them left ! ❤️❤️
