The amp is mic'd with a Sontronics Delta 2 Ribbon mic on the Victory V212VCD 2x12 cabinet (2 x Celestion G12M-65 Creamback) plus stereo room mics.
The guitars are a Hansen T-Style and PRS Paul's Guitar.
There are no gain pedals used in this video. All the overdrive you hear is from the amp itself.
There are two pedals in the amp's effects loop…
• Empress Echo System Delay
• Empress Reverb

Love the duchess. Both editions. But the 140 is heaven. That long tank is really somehting...

Would love to hear some more rock demoing on this. Not everyone wants a kraken and not everyone looking at this is a blues player.
Facts. There’s very little content out there where this thing has got a nice distortion in front of it. Advertised as a perfect pedal platform yet all the demos are of just the amp. Mind you it sounds fantastic and I’ll still probably buy one, but I’d like more samples regardless.
Just bought the v140 yesterday. Only had about a hour with but very impressed with it so far.

On the V40 Deluxe combo, how are the rear panel items accessed? Does the panel require removal?
The combo is an open back so you can get to the speaker outputs and the power input and switch. If you need to change the valves, you can remove the chassis by taking the screws on the back of the combo out. The chassis will then slide out. Thanks Victory

In other videos, it also sounds like the V40 Deluxe is a fair bit different tonally than the V40 metal cased version above and beyond the reverb tank difference. Can you explain further?

I’m feeling your pain. And the new Duchess amp pedal in the mix now too. I’m waiting for some stock to show up at my local stockist and hoping I can try it and compare.
Edit - the pedal won’t push into overdriven as much as the V40 or V40D though. That’s a consideration but it’s so compact. I’m always looking for a great clean sound before I go any further. Horses for courses though.
Great amps, im gearing up on getting one, I like spring reverb but don't need 100 watts, so im thinking on the v40 deluxe head...ill see what it sounds like through a couple of Altec 417's
I love this amp! Has become my main amp now. I'm trying to find a cab for my V40D and my Vox AC15H. I know the Alnico Golds sound fantastic with the Vox. You you guys also recommend it for the V40D?
I know the official recommendation is a pair of Creambacks, but I don't want to have 3+ cabs at home 😅
Is it possible to fit a long spring tank in the V40?
Hi Tomas, there isn't space inside the amplifier to fit a long tank, technically one could be fitted, while we don't recommend it due to it being out in the open it is possible to do, thanks Victory
Hi Martin, how can I use the V Super 140 at home ? Or should I settle with the V 40 Deluxe ? Blues On....💙
Sweetest clean amps I ever heard.
You could use the V140 at home using a load box/attenuator such as the Two Notes Captor X, if you are looking for something quieter the V40 Deluxe could be a good option for home use, it still will be quite loud but there is a 7 Watt low power mode which will help! Thanks Victory
Can I use the V40 or de V140 standalone?? Or do I need to buy the cabinet? As I see in every video there's none with just the V40 or the V140.
Hi Santiago, You will need something for the V40 or V140 to be going into, this would usually be a cabinet but you are able to run the speaker output in a load box such as the Two Notes Captor X and then take a headphone out from that or run it into a Computer. You are not able to use the V40 or V140 with nothing attached, there always need to be a load from the amp when it is turned on or this could damage the amplifier. Thanks Victory

They are sold in Andertons and featured on their RUclips channel. And a lot of other places too (including GuitarGuitar and others in the UK) But Victory is an entirely separate company if that’s what you mean. Cheers!
please your guitarman is'nt a good ambassady, he play to soft, whithout different attack on different position pickups. we can't realise the real possibilty of this amplifier.
