A beautiful interpretation of the Genius of the remarkable laid back but intense piano of Jimmy Yancey. Like Armstrong he was an originator in his field. Unfortunately he was unrecognised except by musicians who truly understood this music remaining just a janitor.

Became a Yancey follower 1942/3 - still follow. this interpretation is a little slow, nevertheless - beautiful rendition.

      Yancey did a slow version.

Good point, Raymond....but for my keyboard, the blues are meant to be a little slow.
