All CL's will have Colonial Service and be long range so we can project our power across the seas more effectively when we take other peoples sandcastles.

I don't understand this, though. To me, if you had different caliber shells, you could probably distinguish the shots by the size of the splash (15" splash > 6" splash). You can't tell the difference between individual 15" shells, but as far as I know, you don't have a penalty for firing more of the same caliber shell.
TortugaPower the problem is that shell splashes produced by those of similar calibre will be hard to distinguish from each other, this resulted in pre-dreadnaught battleships(which usually had two large calibers on the ship) having extremely poor fire correction and thus abysmal accuracy.
The secondaries on these early ships will be a determining factor for their longevity (they can pickup secondary support duties if they have a good 6in gun allotment).
I have heard 2 inches as the minimum to block splinters. Ehrherzog is archduke. Archduke Franz Ferdinand was the dude who's assassination kicked of WW1, nice of you to name a class of crappy ships after him.
+gorencrush Perfect, thanks a lot. Yes, I know of Franz Ferdinand and his infamous trip to Serbia -- not in the greatest detail, but an event that starts a world war should at least be examined briefly :)
Heavy crusiers are litterally the most important class of ship in any navy. they do everything. attack defend. destroy screens and capital ships. scout and raid. they are litterally the most important in the navy
Im mostly a battlecrusier fan but heavy crusiers are a close second. As well battleships can be too slpw and light crusiers not armoured to survive long enough heavy and battlecrusiers are the perfect blend of everything. the power to attack anything armour to survive in a true fight and speed to putmanuver and play your enemy if things go wrong.
Also one thing i do prefer is plent of 2ndary weapons and i belive you called them tirciary? eitherway plenty of the mid and small weapons to back the mains. you can target multiple hostiles at once and keep a barage of fire up well your main cannons are on reload or even target other ships.
Thanks for choosing and playing this nation! :D i will have fun watching it :D hahaha the monarch was a 4main 6second 10tertiary land bombardment pocket battleship :D this would have been better :D we had lots of destroyers light cruisers and submarines, if you want to play along the role :D
Yup. I know its the game, it just stuck out to me. Real one had half a green bar on the bottom and another coat of arms. It is possible ships sailed under flags of the constituent nations though.
Oh hell yes. Been waiting for another playthrough of this series.

Glad you appreciate the content and many thanks for giving my channel a plug.
Great series! Your Rule the Waves videos got me hooked enough to buy the game :)
Well I really hope you enjoy playing. There's been a few new features patched in, too.

9:29 Yes it DOES matter. That's why all-big-gun battleships had advantage in accuracy and easier FC

24 6" guns that is quite the secondary...also CA in this case of Armored cruisers more like pre-battlecruisers.

(I'm not saying you made them poorly, it's just like you said, the starting ships are bad)

That's a reasonable opinion. Light cruisers are a workhorse, and Battleships are the main line. Everyone has their role!

+Márton Szabó Good to hear from you! I hope you enjoy it :)
Erzherzog means Archduke, i know, someone probably already said that.
Someone told me at some point in this series.
Wait, doesnt herzog translate to prince?
Herzog translates to duke, and Fürst translates to prince in te sense of a landlord. Prince in the sense of a royal family member translates to Prinz.
Flag is wrong!
REEEEEEEEEE
For A-H?

@@egoalter1276the austrian navy had actually the red-white-red Flagge :)
@@rawi5223 They changed it to the national flag in 1914
@@egoalter1276 A-H changed it in 1915 but the New Flag was not really used
So till the end of the war the old traditional flag Design was in use
