He made the monster a pun I think. Inspector Clouseau is a crime detective from the show pink panther. Supposedly he's somehow a "great detective" and certainly thinks he is. The show is a parody though, so he is more like a bumbling dollar store version of Sherlock Holmes that just stumbles upon his clues by accident because of how unusual he is. Because he speaks in a heavy self important accent, his name, pronounced "Clue-so" is commonly mistaken for "Clue-doh." Which of course is an intended pun itself, what with the bulk of his findings coming from literal mistakes he makes. So an abhorrent fleshy "doughy" monster, in the game Clue, became Cludouah. Similar to how Mono-pol-ee was the land baron dragon in the other game. Lol
He said "it comes and goes in waves" and i immediately thought "it always does, always does we waych as our young hearts fade into the flood, into the flood"
No but really forget the homebrew for a moment. That board would be a neat map for a one shot with normal d&d rules. Everyone goes around looking for clues but there's a couple of monsters loose and a time limit. Maybe add a ghost that can only be defeated by solving a murder (y'know, the old unfinished business trope)?
This was a lot of fun, i generally dont like "live play" games, but this just sucked me in, you all are a lot of fun, i would love to see y'all do more together
i‘m just getting into watching dnd campaigns but i find it quite exhausting and overwhelming since they‘re all super long and basically just face cam. i‘m such a newbie i understand half of whats being said but this way with the animations and the length is amazing! i‘m having so much fun. can anyone recommend any campaigns that have more like 1 hour max videos and something other than facecam to look at (rg seing the dice being rolled, maybe some animation, maybe the chracters and their stats or the map)
What software was done for the map? I noticed how the lights could be flipped off and on and the view of the players was seen at the same time as the DM’s view
When you need to draw cards, your character must complete a fight, or search in order to limit the amount of cards you draw. Success is 1, crit success is 0, fail is 2, crit fail is 4
