    My favorite is the first one; I love to work with deeply colored fabrics.

    Yes, another gorgeous patchwork dress! This one’s really beautiful and the light, summery vibes look so comfortable to wear on a hot day.
    I think my favourite is still the rich dark dramatic one you made first, but it’s hard to choose! Looking forward to another combination, and to seeing what others make and send to you. 😊

    Love the patchwork, another variant of the tie dress to add to me wardrobe. Such an easy drsss to wear. You definitely have a spring/summer and autumn/winter look with the dark and light patchwork ❤

    Pretty and inspiring!
    Do you have any suggestions for finishing seams without a serger?
    Would you suggest French seams for the patchwork, or zigzagging the edges?
    I have a large stash of quilting fabric, and this would be a great way to combine smaller cuts and remnants into a garment.

    • @SewingTherapy
      @SewingTherapy  6 месяцев назад +1

      French seams would make this dress too heavy! Instead, I recommend using a zigzag stitch. 🙌

  • @dlg1603

    Did you mix different fabric types to create your patchwork? Is it necessary to keep the grain of the fabric pieces aligned with each other?

    • @SewingTherapy
      @SewingTherapy  3 месяца назад

      I used a variety of cotton and linen blend fabrics. Since I worked with tightly woven fabrics, I didn’t worry too much about the grain.

  • @barefacedquestions
    @barefacedquestions 4 месяца назад +1

    So you simply finish the seam of the patchwork by overlocking? Guess I have been overthinking :). Anyway, stunning dress.
