Raw unprocessed cane sugar is just as ok as natural sugar from fruit. There’s no need to stay away from “added” sugars. OP is being illogical and fraudulent with his recipes and video titles.
I have seen hundreds of the recipes but this is very especial. It is simple and easy to make and nothing can go wrong but at the same time very delicious and filling. Thank you for sharing it and well done clever man!!!!
I like oranges better than tangerines, I was eating an orange while watching your video, lol. The energy bars look wonderful. I'm definitely going to try several of your banana and chocolate desserts, all the ones with about 2 to 4 ingredients, but I might branch out eventually. @The Prophet haha nope. I use bananas as the sole sweetener in banana bread without adding any sugar as recipes call for. I don't cook with sugar at all. Its just known that as a banana ripens it's flavor intensifies. I prefer eating bananas alone just like he used here, but for baking, it is a good way to put older bananas to use without waste, and the flavor and sweetness is the benefit. If the raisins did make it too sweet then yeah some adjustments should be made using the brown bananas.

I used to make something like this all the time! I would also add cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, peanut butte (sometimes chocolate cups/nibs) and coconut oil. Then I would roll it and stick it in the freezer for a while.
It is unnecessary to add oil and even melt the chocolate. Break into smaller pieces and put on top as soon as it comes out of the oven. It will melt and smooth on top with a utensil. Yummy! Thank you.

This has to be one of the simplest but yummiest recipes ever. I always make something homemade to gift friends and family with at Christmas and this is definitely what I'm making this year - and bonus!... it's healthy too. Also love you channel.

Excellent, looks very healthy and quite easy to do, the problem is which I expect is true for most people who spend the time making such nice healthy food to eat, which with all god intent bag, jar, box and even freeze will have one per day or every two days BUT in truth especially when watching TV, or having a break for a cup of tea or after a low calorie meal, will start thinking about these 'lovely' treats. And I expect just like me, will try not to think about, but will fail and go and get just one but take two. Then the enjoyment of one or two bars, the taste buds will scream for another one and you find your self going for more, then more until you have eaten the whole lot. That is the real problem which some people have RUclipss on here to help us but they never work, the struggle is the discipline which is so very hard and really making any of these fantastic bar,s which on their own are very healthy but when many or all of them are eaten in one go, it is best as I do not to even attempt to make any in the first place.

So if you eat one serving bar, it is great, but if you eat 2+ bars then you will have a severe sugar spike in your blood > insulin > fat storage.
If someone ask you to buy sugar, do you then come home with raisins? This is a question about definition, not about carbohydrates turning into glucose in the bloodstream. There is absolutely no “sugar” directly in this recipe.
@@purringsounds learn some facts about sugars mate. Banana and raisins may not have refined sugar, but they have, as you pointed out carbohydrates that cause insuline and glucose spikes. They break down over a few hours and are in fact SUGAR. Have a banana and get your glucose levels checked after a few hours, you will see a significant spike. Good thing you don't teach nutrition.

I would be sure to use an oil that is non-inflammatory like coconut oil, or an oil that specifies expeller-pressed or cold-pressed, where heat and chemicals are not used. I may need to add a bit of honey to the chocolate and a pinch of Kosher sea salt on top. 😋

I would replace the raisins with chopped figs as I don't care for raisins very much and I think I would just use the melted chocolate and not cover the entire area and let the chocolate go where would. Love the recipe and thank you very much🙂!
