@@JB-pe2yn a little irony for you, being that you're on a Teen Mom channel... I was raised by teenagers. In 1987. They were in 11th and 10th grade, and I, Good Flowerchild, have taught myself far more than you could imagine. A lot was not taught in my home, as a child. It IS, however, taught thoroughly in my home now with my children tyvm. 👋

I think it’s really sad that because Maci has a mostly peaceful life with minimal drama people choose to say how she’s so boring. The show needs that balance cause if every girl had a horrible storyline like Amber I really couldn’t watch this show. It’s good to have the messy drama and the mature peacefulness that Maci brings to see the both sides of the spectrum of life after being a teen mom. Maci is my favorite I love how she and her husband make decisions about their kids together and seem to have a healthy relationship for the most part. I Stan. 💯💁🏾♂️
Her and Chelsea always seemed boring to me, even with drama. Just not that interesting to me.

I have PCOS too and I think Maci is the perfect advocate for us. She has a huge platform that she uses to speak about our struggles. I couldn’t think of anyone better to represent women with PCOS.

I agree! I also have PCOS and it went undiagnosed for years. Once I heard Maci discussing it, I asked my PC doctor about it. Within 2 weeks, I had received a diagnosis & my quality of life had drastically improved.
People can say Maci is "boring" all they want, but her story has changed my life!💚
@@CoachAshley1983 that’s absolutely wonderful!! It’s things like this that bring awareness to something we probably wouldn’t have known about! I had no idea until a cyst ruptured and I had to have emergency surgery.

i see a lot of people say Maci is boring now because she has no storyline but i think that Maci sharing her struggles with PCOS is important and educational for teenage viewers, especially for those who don't know what it is.
I’m not convinced teenagers actually watch this show. I think the majority of their viewers are people who have watched from the beginning.

Wishing Maci so much love & luck on her journey to bettering her health. I was diagnosed with PCOS back in ‘09 after a number of years of very heavy periods, missed periods, 2 miscarriages & the discovery of large / cluster cysts on my ovaries. I made the decision to go on cerazette & haven’t had a period since. I tried to change to healthier eating, but yesterday received devastating news that I have irritable bowel disease, I need further testing to see if I either have ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s - all of my hard work (changing to whole meal / wholewheat, eating plenty of fresh veggies / fruit) has gone straight out of the window. Soul destroying. But for those who can implement the changes & find it daunting.. do it a little at a time & incorporate things gradually, you’ll get there & feel the benefits ❤️
The sheer excitement on Tyler’s face is so endearing, but I understand Catelyn’s apprehension - they’ve both always dealt with Carly’s adoption so differently, & that’s absolutely understandable. A mother & fathers love is so powerful, but often different (& there’s nothing wrong with that - that isn’t to say one is more powerful than the other, just different). I think the way they process the visits is interesting when they speak openly about it. In 6 years time Carly will be 18, & will freely be able to be in touch if she so chooses. I think Carly is a very lucky girl to be surrounded by so much love. Xx

I understand how Taylor and Kaitlyn feel. I put my daughter up for adoption. I had some contact with her. When she turned 16 she contacted me and we have had some of a relationship since. ( she is now 18) Every time I see her I don’t know what to say or do. I find my self dressing up like I’m going on a date. She knows who I am, and where I live and I hope she knows I love her and never stopped.
Same here! My daughter is almost 13 and every time I see her I always want to be fun, but on my best behavior, and tell her how much I love her a million times without overwhelming her. My mind is always on a million. So much stored love to try to express each visit
@ Jen Sandberg...During the opportunities you have had to meet with her, have you both discussed the discomfort of the situation and was there any separate discussions with the parents on how the meeting were impacting the child?
@@simplydee4522 I have tried talking to her and to make sure she is okay. She tells me she is fine. When I ask Lori ( adoptive mom and also my Mom) she tells me a different story. So I don’t know who to believe. And yes I did say my mom as well. My situation is different then other adoptions. You would think I should had a relationship with my daughter but I did not because of religious reasons.
@@1930Jeni I can't imagine the challenges and/or pain for all involved on all sides. Maybe someone can see if she is open to a mini-meeting of healing or maybe a suggestion to her to write an unapologetic letter to express her true feelings. I hope that you will continue to convey to her that your decision was done out of love. Challenging as it maybe, have patience as she sorts things out for herself. Hopefully all involved are receiving counseling to aid in healing. Hoping for the best in time🌄🙏
When you think about it... it's only going to be another five years or so until Carly turns 18... in five years she can decide how often she want to see Tyler and Caitlyn (or not!)... will be interesting to see how it all unfolds!!!

Thats true! I didnt think of it. Deep down Id love Carly to say I want my parents back! And spend the rest of my life with them (Catelynn and Tyler) BUT the truth is that she has been raised by two parents for a looong time now. 18 years are A LOT. Also, when she's 18 she will be able to start her OWN life. It would be unfair for her adopting parents if she decided to not have anything to do with them anymore after all the things theyve done for her. I dont know if shes allowed to watch teen mom or videos of her biological parents on RUclips. I wish I knew how she feels about this whole situation.
I got diagnosed with PCOS super young and I love that she openly talks about especially bc stress and food affects pcos so crazily
As I sufferer of endometriosis changing my diet going dairy free and gluten free plus adding better things into my body helps symptoms same works for PCOS all about hormones

I was diagnosed with PCOS a huge cyst and I remembered when I used to watch this show, thanks to her for bringing this to people's attention
I know the whole Carly adoption situation is torturous for Tyler. He knows Carly and her sisters are going to be affected by it forever just like Nova said. Carly was his first born and now 12! Not to mention he says Nova looks just like Carly. But with Catelyn not so much. She almost looks disappointed about the Carly visit then pretends to be happy for Tyler. Also, it wasn't nice for Catelyn to say "Nova is a clone from God because of Carly. Nova isn't a replacement or "clone" from God she's a Blessing from him. Carly and Nova can be hurt and take that comment in a horrible way someday. Praying they don't however.

That's why it's a open adoption both sets are parents are just doing what they see fit for Carly. Their definitely a very unique situation and they will continue be on TV, profit, its been 12 yrs already we can wait 6 more, or follow-up with them thru social media when Carly turns 18. The possibilities are endless. I wish them the best because it was sad watching them give up Carly for a better future. Not knowing that after that they would end up making money out the adoption story and still be on TV.

My heart goes out to Caitlyn an Tyler putting a child up 4 adoption an seeing that child every once an a while has got 2 be hard!!!
Well, it was their choice and they chose a semi open adoption which makes the seeing her even less.

I wonder what issues she has with PCOS because she seems pretty healthy. I have hirsutism, excessive belly fat, type 2 diabetes, hair loss, infertility also. I would like to know more about what she deals with on a day to day basis

I have PCOS as well. I'm similar in body type and age as Maci. Fortunately I don't struggle with the weight part of PCOS as mine is androgen based. I do suffer from anxiety and depression. Does anyone else think anxiety and depression is directly correlated to the PCOS?

I think it was because Tyler posted a video of Carly on facebook and there was an agreement Carly was not to be shown on any social media or TV again. But it could also be from covid.

Disclaimer: Understand that I'm not trying to be negative and I know I'm on the outside looking in when I make the following statement: The whole situation is difficult - one has to wonder how Carly will feel knowing she was given up for adoption but Mom and Dad went on to have more kids. God Bless Carly's parents in having to deal with and accommodate this whole open adoption situation.
She’ll probably feel some type of way but then once she starts to think about she’ll understand. Like they didn’t have a reliable place to live or money when she was born. Nova was born several years later when they were in a stable place in their relationship. Honestly, I sometimes think of a few other disaster cases from teen mom should’ve thought of adoption

Well that's kind of mean, its an open adoption so why can't she be in her life. I also had to give up my son for adoption when he was a baby. Luckily my cousin adopted him so he was still able to be in my life. Now he's about 34 years old and I still keep in touch with him.

The thing about carly is that she is going to get her 18's and she is going to understand that her parents give her away by mistake amd ignorance and her adoptive parents basically kidnap her with the law by their side her adoptive parents could have said we loved her but you want her back and she is your daughter lets go to court to sort this out so you can have your girl back becaus i know tyler and caitlyn wanted her back long time ago the people who adopted carly arent good people because as a mom i would have seen caitlyn desperation and i would have give her baby back she was wrongly educated about this type of adoption she didnt understand what she was doing at the time so she give her away beliving the lies that the adoption agency told her and without reading and understanding the terms at all so this agency failed her period .

What is pcos ?what causes it
It's hard to explain it all. It's not exactly known what causes it but scientists think it may be genetic.
It is fuelled by insulin resistance and poor blood sugar control and causes the body not to be able to fulfil its monthly cycle in a normal manner e.g. the egg may ripen slightly but then not release which causes a 'cyst ' in the ovary. It causes lots of symptoms including problems with menstruation, infertility, acne, abnormal body hair, extra fat around the belly. Often leads to type 2diabetes if blood sugars arent stabilised and managed with diet.

I have PCOS and had no issue getting pregnant three times. It is not an issue for everyone.
There are 4 different types of PCOS. Not all women with PCOS have trouble getting pregnant. A recent medical study showed that women with pcos have higher fertility after age 35 because we have more eggs. I'm over 40 and had my egg quantity (AMH) tested and it was off the charts and higher than a 25 year old.
@@mascara1777 that’s not exactly true. Regardless of why you got pcos (pill induced, insulin resistant, etc) , they all cause the syndrome (pcos) which makes it hard to conceive.
