You live and die by your tight-head prop, and quite often their work can go unnoticed. The simple analogy in rugby is that no decent tighthead prop = no wins.

Best looking players in the team too.
A close second imo to the looseheads
Init bro 👌
Am a tighthead, cannot confirm
Potato Productions can’t be doing us dirty like that.
Tobi Bamisaye we are still the front row master race my guy
Tadhg Furlong is an absolute beast
Except he wasn't in the Six Nations, was he?!
Taffy Ducks ok what about this year then and already has a try to his name against Wales so put some respect on the name
Am i right to say the person who made this video is a Tight-head?
All the likes are from Tightheads and the dislikes from Looseheads..lol
I actually played both sides of the scrum, preferred tighthead. Haven't played in a couple of years however
Can we all agree that furlong is the best prop in the world right now 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪. Thanks for the likes
No!
Mako vunipola pretty good aswell
Steven kitshoff very good as well
Joe Copsey yes
Mako better even tho they play different positions
Played tightghead until I got clothes-lined by a stiff arm, now I'm playing loosehead.
💀💀
💀💀😂
Owen Franks is about to play his 105th cap for the All Black but has never scored a single point for the New Zealand side 😔😕 - Prop 👏🤘
The toughest position in sports........#3
Pretty sure if anyone's the most important player it's the 10 or 9 (this is coming from an 8!) however yes, props go unnoticed besides scrum time but they do so much more besides that! Deserve much more notice
Taylor Wilson a team can go without a 9 and 10 but when a prop is sent out or gets injured one of the backrow has to go and replacement is sent in. just saying 😕☺
Shush let us have our moment
As a fellow 8, no way! Your tight-head is the keystone of every scrum, everything that follows depends on him dominating his space - including and especially the 9 & 10. If you lose a tight head mid-game; you're not winning that match!
That stuff around the park is just cake. Scrummaging is king.
Me: looks at title
Title: tight head prop rugby’s most important position
Me: there’s a new one
can you please do flankers
When Kitch Christie, South African World Cup winning coach, picked a team, he first picked a kicker and then a tight head prop...
Just started rugby and play as a tighthead prop just intill im fit for 8man
how can you have a vlog about tight head props and not have any footage of Jason leonard? the greatest tight head prop ever.
Go the Number 3!
Somebody likes Kyle Sinckler
i think alot of people admire Sinckler
I Play tight head and i fcking love It. If you are front row you can look in their eyes. If ya see the fear in their faces ya know theyre fucked.
Not sure what the point of the Sinckler clips were?
I was always scrum half. Bc im fucking tiny. 5"9" and i weight about the same as a bag of crisps
Jip I Love Tight head
No love for second row
Luther Burrell 😂 3:06
Tough buggers
I’m a tight head and it’s not an easy job
Class
And who is the best?
Rugby Legion tadhg furlong no question
@@finncostellooreilly5614 didnt show up this six nations mind he got driven back many times vs nicky Smith so his form has dropped.
Finn Costello O'Reilly kitshoff or mako are both better
Ed Miller they’re not tight heads mate
Morgan Dunn thought furlong Ryan and ringrose were the only ones who had a decent six nations for Ireland. Was the system that didn’t work for ireland this six nations, it’s annoying me seeing so many jump on the ‘ireland are shit’ bandwagon after one bad six nations. 3 months ago there would be no one questioning that tadhg is the best tighthead in the world, a couple of average games doesn’t change that. If you’ve been watching him for Leinster you’d know that as well
census johnsens a loosehead
Please do flankers
Cool video, why are they the most important?
Flankers please
I would argue that a back rower can have the most impact
@Tom Hall or if you had a great back rower they could make a great linebreak to create a try
Forwards work the hardest during a rugby match...They scrum, do lineouts, clean most of the time and also run with the ball.
Backs only run with the ball and kick it.
@@epe520 Thats what I am trying to say
halfback is the most important
Im normally a #9.
I was one once
I was centre.
I played for caerphilly what about u?
Morgan Dunn Treorchy when I wore a younger mans clothes
@@GWLAD 😂😂
Morgan Dunn my butty Gary Davies played for Philly for years
Props must have biggest salary
Highest paid rugby position
Im a prop but I think the Flyhalf must have the highest salary😂
Nope u are wrong props have the biggest salary
@@cornevandermerwe1096 No way Being prop is toughest, all of them has back problems in future...
@@atheist687 how do u know?
Can anyone guess what position Andrew Forde plays ??
i was loosehead mainly ginge back in the day
I am a tight head prop
u are a fatty
Billy' Booboo' thorne Wth don’t need to be rude to tight heads
It's the backs that deserve the glory!
Why
The forwards literally do all the dirty work, backs get enough merit as is given the fact all you have is the speed we forwards often lack
Backs are usually there to make team look good but majority of the time it's the forwards doing the work
I’m a tight head prop
No tomos francis is this video
Haa im a tighthead prop
Ha fatso
@@setantakelly4166 piss off
Setanta Kelly being a prop doesn’t mean your fat. If that’s so then wingers are anorexic and all second rows are basically lanky skeletons
lose some weight and get into a real position!
I’ve seen tightheads that are the skinniest on their team
For some reason I believe the 9 is the most important position, can't imagine why I have that opinion...... let me think....nope, it's a mystery.
Now, it's been at least 24 hours since the last time....I better show the front row how to tie their laces again!
short arse
