Experience Higher states of Consciousness - Inner Awakening
From the works of Living Enlightened Master Paramahamsa Nithyananda. In this clip from opening discourse of the 3 day Nithya Dhyaan meditation workshop Swamiji answers the question Why do we need to learn meditation. He explains the four states of the being which are formed by relation between states of mind and states of consciousness. The four states, Jagrat, Swapna, Susupthi and Thuriya define our being. Swamiji reveals deep truths about disturbances such as chronic fatigue caused when our Susupthi sate (deep sleep) is penetrated by Swapna State (dream state). The more the dream state penetrates the waking state, the frequency of our consciousness drops and we are in a lower state of awareness. All physical and mental disorders arise from dream state penetrating the waking state or the deep sleep state. By meditation practices, the fourth state, the state of Turiya will penetrate our waking and deep sleep states and leads us to health in the mind, body and being. The complete discourse may be ordered online at www.lifeblissgalleria.com.

Yes I agree with you. I didn't mean to imply that it was necessary for humans to have chaotic minds. I think we as a race will evolve beyond it eventually, as long as we don't destroy ourselves along the way. I hope you achieve realization and wish you the best on your journey.
I am going to see Swamiji tomorrow for a discourse and darshan tomorrow here in Toronto and am very much looking forward to it!

So I wonder where Lucid DReaming would come into play? Would that be a good thing? The waking state penetrating the Dream state?

Intelite, we are blessed with minds that can do incredible things like create beautiful paintings, save lives with a scalpel and understand the depth of wonder which the universe holds . The trade off is that such a mind is easily screwed up. The robin cannot do these things, so it's mind is not so easily ruined.

Indeed, the Guru's do not fall precisely because they have 'lost the mind'. In other words, for them the tower is obsolete, so there is nothing left to topple. For the rest of us however, toppling is all too easy. While animals such as dolphins and whales have advanced minds, I do not know of evidence that they can reflect upon the self as humans do every day with ease, along with many of the things I mentioned previously that humans can do.

Thanks for your advice and now please go back to where you come from.

It doesn't seem like much of a leap to me. The higher you build a tower, the more easily it can topple. Similarly, the higher you raise a consciousness, the more easily it can descend into chaos.

well sure, he knows 9 different languages and has a perfect grammar, what about you.?
your comments says a lot about what you were listening to..not your fault,i guess you have been bred to be have "I am right and all others are wrong" ideology ,
anyways be happy in the darkness of your "the book".where there is no place to ask questions and introspection. Some time i wonder why he gave humans brains he could have feed it with one book and no hassles ever

Man seeks his own not himself. Even bigger question if the brain dies, why don't more people get rid of it through meditation.
