I think you made a mistake there. Elegon mount was available since day 1, it was the Sha of Anger mount (Reins of the Heavenly Onyx cloud serpent) that was not added to the droplist of the worldboss. Alot of people didn't figure it out though, because the bosses had such low drop chances (1 in 2000) that majority of people were just assuming that it's normal that noone has it.
I only got mine very recently and ive been killing it on and off since WOTLK, even had kills on Heroic 25man ICC when it was current just never won the rolls

spent the last 11 years trying for the headless horseman's mount, every year i would have more characters at max level so i had more tries each day during the hallow's end event. this last year, year 11, a year after i'd spent a decade hunting that mount, it finally dropped for me. this upcoming halloween is going to feel weird and empty for me, like what's the point of halloween anymore after i spent the last 11 halloweens killing this guy for his flying horse. nothing i do in the future will be able to compare.
Isn't it funny when you finally get 'the thing' that you've been grinding for a long time? Not as exciting or as dedicated but I spent 5 years grinding for the giant lobster pet. It became such a routine, almost as a wind-down to a WoW session I'd pop over and mindlessly fish for an hour. Never expect to get the darn thing. When I finally caught the wish-granting thing I didn't even notice it 'til it came time to clean the bags. Then I was SO nervous. Only 3 tries to get the pet after 5 years of fishing. When the pet popped on the first wish I just sat there stunned. ... then next WoW session when I didn't have to go fishing for an hour it was "what do I do now?"

True story. I went to ice crown citadel a few months ago in hopes to get a pink shirt that drops from Precious. It didn't drop. I decided to solo the rest of the raid because I was bored. I jokingly whispered my brother and said, "I'm about to get Invincible." Then it dropped. We still have the screenshot of me whispering him that.
Yeah, similar boat, way back in high school I worked my ass off to get the undead wyrm mount from the achievement for Icecrown Citadel, can't recall what it's called now but it was super rare when I had it, and now an old friend of mine said anyone can pretty much solo their way to it in no time at all if they want it. Bummed me out tbh...

haha same, 6 years ago, when I finally got my raven lord mount after 3 years of farming, I just stopped playing, because it wouldn't get any better than that.
IMO all RNG droppable mounts should be at 1% at the minimum. No real reason for farming mounts from 3+ expansions behind the Current for the next 4-8 years
@@tobi-b No they didn't... Are you forgetting the Solar Spirehawk from Rukhmar in Draenor? Mechagon has TWO of these mounts alone and that just came out this expansion.
Warcraft's one of the most unique and successful feature is its mounts. I think main reason of it is how accessible most of them are for the community in-game and how they kept improving them visually. But I wonder what will the future hold for flying mounts with new dragonflight features. Will they decide to spread it out and if so will the older mounts be able to adapt.
5 million gold! I can't even comprehend that amount, I've played since 2007 and I would guess over the course of 13 years combined I haven't made 5 million gold. In fact I think the most gold I've ever had at one time was 300,000 and that during the Thunder King patch of Pandaria when I got lucky in obtaining some rare thunderforge blacksmithing recipes for weapons and armor that I crafted and sold for 50,000+ each on the auction house. Of course money making has never really been my focus either, if I have some extra mats and crafted items I drop them in the auction house, but that's about it.
I've noticed chromietime creates fresh shards where you basically get every world boss to yourself. So get a buddy who's in what ever expansion you want to inv you to group. And leave the "live" behind. It just eliminates competition for a spawn.
I’m so happy with my huolon drop and having the new rajani warserpent drop I’m done with grinding for these below 1% mounts - love seeing people on them though. They’re super rare for a reason.
You can check your mounts usable on one character in the Statistics tab beside Achievements. Click 'Character' then 'Gear'. Log on a few alts to see who shows the most. For me it's a Blood Elf paladin. I have Bruto and Feltalon, almost have the Pureheart. Never getting the others. Well, I'll get the raid mounts eventually, but not when current.
It'll take a while but keep an eye out for reputation buffs, and especially the Warsong and Arathi PVP brawls. Big reputation gains there. I'm on 104 exalted reps so know your pain...
I got mimiron's head because someone had invited me to the raid, and I couldn't wait to leave. so when someone told us all to roll on ,,,, (wasn't paying attention) I did. only cause, as mentioned, I figured the sooner we rolled on whatever item had dropped the sooner I'd get out of there :D
It's because so many people buy mythic raid carries. Right now it drops 2 mounts and usually a guild selling raids have geared all their players and everyone has the mount so the carried played usually gets a mount.
I remember seeing the swift white hawk strider and thinking "I want the white chocobo!" I also remember someone telling me it was less than a 1% drop. During cataclysm I believe it was, I decided I would start grinding out the raid in an attempt to get it and it dropped on my second run through. Man do I ever miss playing WoW.
I got reins of the death charger when I was a noob at the end of last year and some of my rando dungeon group seemed genuinely disgusted hahaha. I think i made it worse by asking "Is iT GoOd?" lol
Thank god I value logic and base lore instead of collection, wolfs and normal horses will ever be my mounts of choice, and a simple dragon for flying if I'm feeling too heroic.
Glad mount is way harder than cutting edge. In fact, the cutting edge should be lower than the 5mil gold mount, because it's cheaper to get a mythic endboss boost than the AH dino. Also ANYONE can be boosted through mythic, you can AFK while you get the boost. For a gladiator mount, getting boosted is a bit different. Nobody can boost the worst players, so you would have to break the ToS if you don't meet the requirements, and buy a real money boost where someone else plays your account. But breaking the ToS and being banned aside, only players who can get to about 1800 in a team of similar skilled players on their own, are even boostable to 2400 by R1 players. 1800 rating is under 10% of the ladder usually, so you would have to be in the best 10% of the people who actively play arena, to even dream about buying a boost, which still requires you to give your best every match. And based on how many people have them, the SL gladiator mount is owned by 0.39% of the population according to dataforazeroth. Meanwhile, over 1.5% of the population have cleared mythic nathria, a raid I have heard is particularly hard to clear, that killed many guilds before reaching the last boss. And still, 4 times more people got that than 2400 rating. Let's take BFA where it was said to be the easiest expansion to get a "free glad mount". A whopping 0.5% of players have BFA S4 2400 rating mount. Over 5% of the playerbase had cutting edge Nzoth. That is insanely common. For the other raids of BFA it was around 3% that got cutting edge, and 0.13% of the population got 2400 in those seasons. To put it even more into contrast, getting rival, 1800 rating in BFA was harder than cutting edge in any of the major raids. That is still insanely far from the 2400 mount. Point being, the 2400 mount should be on the top N1. spot. It is unboostable for 97% of the playerbase, and 99.5-99.9% of the playerbase can not get it on their own, depending on the season. Meanwhile the cutting edge mount is not obtained by 95-97% of players, depending on the season. And anyone, even if you literally have no hands, can get it by buying a boost.
Also I'm not just a PvPer who is salty over people underestimating the skill and dedication required to play arena. The top 1 spot IS a PvP mount, one that should be on the 2nd or even 3rd spot instead of 1st. "Why? Is it not more rare than any other?" Yes technically, but it is not that hard to grind, most people just do not know how to grind meaningless honor. You do RBGs. Rated BGs on any rating give insane honor level gains, and most RBG players have above 1k honor level.
At the time of Wrath I agree, but nowadays it's so easy to get it. With all the secret finding discord grps / communities and ofc boosting (I bought my TLPD for 300k gold ) it's not that painful to do. Also TLPD got that luck factor aswell, my in-game friend at the time of wrath got it while doing the dailies for the White polar bear, while some people camped it for 100+ hours without finding it... The list is great at it is because it focuses on pure dedication, and not luck.
Check out the lucid nightmare. That and the thundering onyx cloud serpent. The maze you have to go through for the nightmare is ridiculous, and ive been trying to get that damn serpent for the past 2 years...
Logged in an hour before Legion launched and decided to solo ICC to kill time. Invincible dropped. Under 30ish total clears. Firelands took me like 8 years with 2 toons a week for any mount to drop, then they both dropped within a month. Headless Horseman took ever year until 2019.
im so happy i got my rajani warserpent in the first month of 8.3 and i saw a guy like that with the heavenly onyx cloud serpent he had 800 something achivement points still salty about that ...
hardest mount to get: Camel from recruit a friend, cuz we all know, if you play wow, you aint got real friends or a real life, its all digital like blue pill matrix.
getting close on the rep mount... I actually also got the Winterspring Frostsaber back when it was hard to get; grinding quests for 75 rep each, 8 min per run... It was just a year later that they made it ridiculously easy.
I'm blissfully unaware of WoW news for the most part, so I didn't know that the Bruto was going to be removed. As a collector I figured I'd get around to it one day. When I did find out, it was about 5 months away. Now I'm not a gold farmer, I get the gold I need and I'm happy with that. I don't utilise the AH because mostly, the pop is small and we have some pretty hardcore AH pvpers dominating it. So the only way I could think to get it, was to do old raids on multiple toons. Which is what I did for those 5 months. Plus Island Expeditions and various other things. It was possibly the most miserable time I'd ever spent in WoW before. I'm most proud of my 100 rep mount and 450 mount, but the Bruto, that thing triggers my ptsd lol.
I use my mom’s old account from back when she played WoW with my dad (who’s been playing about 16ish years) so I have the Onyxian Drake that she got forever ago on her first try and my dad is still always jealous of it lmao
I remember taking a new player through mount runs with me. He got Invincible his first run through. I told him I wss happy for him..but really I seeked vengeance. Knowing he was a new player in a pvp server I made a hunter in the opposite faction and boosted myself up to 120 and I waited.. watching for him to fly to the ground on that damn mount when suddenly it happened. He landed to turn in a daily and I stunned him and blasted his health away. I laughed as he resurrected and begged for mercy... but this is WOW...there is no mercy. I slaughtered him and stole his wow GF. He sat crying at the steps of Light's Hope Chapel as I was marrying his wife "Glendra" I may not have the mount still after 1,000 times, but I still give myself hope
I just got pureheart courser today. I have been playing since 2014, so it took a very long time. It has a nice special stnds on hind legs and turns around. I don't have any of the others. Good luck to anyone farming these.

I played back in 2004 and just started again last week. After a few trial characters I’ve settled on monk. Well, I finally acquired flying mounts last night. I feel like a damn king
the day i got ashes years back.... we needed 1 more for BT so my mate got invited for last boss only on his rogue glaive dropped and he got it...... I know its not mount but getting a glaive back then and only being in the group for that boss nothing else is sweet..... and gettig a glaive drop and ashes same day was sweet too

My husband and I plan on focusing on the honor mounts in this coming expansion. I want the bloodforged courser so freaking bad. I saw it on one of Asmon's videos and ugh it's so gorgeous. That's a lot of freaking pvp xPPP
I got all 12 classes in legion to at least prestige rank 5 for the 1st pvp artifact skin with some up to like rank 12 I think just doing the pvp wqs. And even after they made our honor pts account wide, I was only at honor level 172.
Mighty Caravan is going to be even more rare cause it's going on the BMAH. Also, while not the absolute hardest, The Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent, I hated pandaria for the longest time after doing the stupid rep. Also Obsidian Worldbreaker, The fights were buggy or too difficult and someone people just gave up so they never got it.
I have had a couple really lucky mount drops (first 10-20 attempts), but invincible fucking haunts me. 524 attempts and counting. I don’t even want to use the mount at this point now that glad mounts are account bound, it’s just principle now.
I feel your pain... but I finally got it doing the quick way! If you have a bunch of level 120, you can run one through the first 11of 12 boss then switch and invite one of you other toon to just kill LK. It still a pain but because it was easier I use all of my 120 instead of burning out after afew and got it in 2 weeks with a little luck. I'd have to say the hardest and rarest mount to get in-game, is the Love Rocket. It's only available once per year, and the drop chance is insanely low. It's not like you can farm it everyday doing what you like (if you like PVP for example).
I have the merciless gladiator mount from TBC season 2 on my Warlock, flying speed 310% I think it is. I dont play anymore but that mount is by far my proudest achievement in the game.
Just one thing, the 250 honor lvl mount, was prestige 20 in legion(Or something like that)in BFA they make honor account wide. (So if you have, let's say, 5 prestige 20, you can get the honor 500 mount)
The brutosaur can be very easy if you find the right way to make golds. I made most of my golds with a single gamebreaking farm, and I still had no idea how to make more than 50k a day when I still played the game.
I tried to get the Headless Horsemen Mount for over a decade and finally got it in 2020. The only good thing to happen that year... THAT was the Hardest Mount to get for me.
Yea the pureheart courser is WAY harder to get than the auction house mount, sorry lol. I stopped playing in WoTLK and in Legion I made a new account. I had 0 reps. It's taken me so fucking long to get around 60 reps inbetween current content. Making gold on the other hand is relatively easy and can also happen as you play. You gotta go way outta your way to farm reps. Plus all the questing to unlock the dailies in the first place. Oh and if you don't have Draenor/ Legion flying it'll take even longer.
No need to be sorry, its why they are on the same spot, I asked a bunch of people on their thoughts and got a fairly split answer, both sides made sense to me and ultimately it's down to the player on which is harder for them.
The way I look at it is the players offering those services still needed to reach the skill required to not only clear the raid but clear it with a handicap. Doesn't take away from the difficulty of the mount itself
I think that latest CE mount can be considered hard in 2 different ways. Either you are good at the game or you are good at making gold. If you say that long boi is hard to get, buying a boost to get the mount is also hard for the same reason.
Out of curiosity I asked about the price of a M Nzoth with mount boost and they said 4.5mil. Even if someone bought gold with tokens that would be $766.05. That's a little less than 2 weeks of working a $15/hr job. It's just a different kind of grind than sitting in front of a screen. Honestly trying to feel prestige from owning something, especially something virtual is pointless and empty. I bought the brutosaur just for the mount. I would've gladly paid less if it was just a 3seater without the AH npc.
You probably exploited it by accident without realizing it cause I believe it was accounts wide so when you leveld up alta it stacked up this the exponential numbers required to get the super high #
Hardest mount to get is Tyrael's Charger. My Pandaren looted it from Treasure Goblin on the first try. Treasure Goblin is a rare event so you already guessed the difficulty, much more the percent chance this event would drop the mount for you. Guess I am the luckiest WoW player in the world for looting Tyrael's Charger (yes, Tyrael's Charger is a Charger that flies).
You can get the honor level 500 mount easy if you run 3 accounts and have lots of characters doing the honor quest in av,ashran,wintergrasp and doing daily epic bg win and com stomp brawl if it's up. Took me 64 days (10-15 hours per day) to grind my last 200 honor levels so it's possible to get this mount fast if you have time to spend
Dude srsly? Based on this logic you can buy every mythic raid mount, but it does not work cuz people dont use it that way. You must buy 25 token by a price of 200k to get 5mil in the eu. Thats 500€, and no you because you know someone you had done it, does not mean everyone does it.

Last I checked the reputations count there were only 104 in the game at the end of bfa. 2 are unobtainable now but if you have them they count. Meaning you have to grind all but 2 reps in the game for that mount. The number may be up to 106, since I last counted in 8.2 and they added 2 more in 8.3.
ive been farming the Barons mount, Invencible, and the blue proto off and on sc 2008. I STILL dont have any of them. but my guild got 6 Hellfire Infernals, and one of them is mine!
My rarest n most proud to own mount is the deathchargers reigns i know its not that rare anymore but i was sooo excited and happy when i got it back in cata being a human rogue riding an undead horse
Just one thing... you must have forgotten that the cuting edge mount can be bought, in my server is about 4M right now because only 1 guild is selling it, but it is still cheaper than the 5kk dinosaur. I heard that a couple of servers have it allready under de 2.5M, what is half of the dino. Personally, i would have put the 400 mount achiev's mount on second place.
Didn't forget that just ruled it as a factor as with enough ingame gold or real money you can buy anything you want. It still takes the guild providing the service to have high skill and dedication in the first place and a step even further if they are handicapping themselves with a boosted person.
The problem with mounts in general is what it looks like. People will gage effort VS prize and decide that stupid unicorn horse is dumb and not worth the effort.
@@Edelenaustin because that isnt the same logic. The reason RNG mounts arent on there are because of the exact reason I explain at the start of the video, someone could spent 1 minute, on their first attempt and get the mount, you cant do one Battleground and get 500 honor levels
@@Edelenaustin Time is one of the main skills in WoW, do you have enough time to learn the fights or learn all the class spells? Then you can achieve things like Glad or Mythic, or enough gold to buy a carry for them. I personally consider having to grind something out for hours a day, over the course of 2 or even more years to be hard. I dont expect everyone to agree but well it's my list ha and I did ask for opinions etc before putting the final list together.
I love the idea of really far out of reach mounts like the honor level 500 one. Iv'e still never seen anyone riding it in game but if I do my jaw will drop!
Yeah it's a mount that really shows you have dedication. I'd be down for less mounts per expansion moving forward but more complex means to obtaining them. I'd imagine im in the minority with that thought but there are already a ton of mounts to keep a collector busy, be nice to have more mounts that provoke a reaction.
I still say Voidtalon of the Darkstar from WoD. Yeah it may have been a guaranteed drop, but with the chances of being lucky enough to find the portal, and only one person being able to click on the portal between spawnings, that thing was a real bitch to get and I still haven't gotten it
I think the raid mount personally, from my perspective, won't be that bad. Corruptions will allow us to scale upwards in damage as the tier goes on, making DPS and healing checks easier and easier. I have a feeling a lot of guilds will see CE their tier thanks to it. Raiding also isn't very easy, and I'm probably going get some spam for saying this. However it's just as hard as high end PvP for the reason of you have to learn your class and spec super well. Along with pushing as hard as you can in terms of DPS, to stand a chance of winning. Both are very difficult to learn and do well in, but to me the difficulty is pretty much the same.
I don't even care about the Brutosaur. I'm not gonna spend all my time doing something I hate so much that I never do it (AHing) just to get a mount with an AH on it that I will never use after I get it. XD
I thought the same thing but when I put my money together among all my characters I had 3.5 million so I thought "what the hell, let me grind a bit for it". Ironically I use the AH a LOT more now that I have the Brutosaur than all my WoW time before put together.
I'm going to say that brutosaur isn't hard at all. Your can either buy gold VIA wow tokens with your real money, or you can just be a booster/advertiser in a big boosting community. 100 reps is arguably harder then 400 mounts. 400 mounts is actually pretty common now
I just started, I havnt even got a dang mount yet. But I'm freaking addicted already.

There should be a limit. The WoW algorithm should be able to tell that you've had 2000 attempts and drop the God damn mount.

IMO all RNG droppable mounts should be at 1% at the minimum. No real reason for farming mounts from 3+ expansions behind the Current for the next 4-8 years

Warcraft's one of the most unique and successful feature is its mounts. I think main reason of it is how accessible most of them are for the community in-game and how they kept improving them visually. But I wonder what will the future hold for flying mounts with new dragonflight features. Will they decide to spread it out and if so will the older mounts be able to adapt.
5 million gold! I can't even comprehend that amount, I've played since 2007 and I would guess over the course of 13 years combined I haven't made 5 million gold. In fact I think the most gold I've ever had at one time was 300,000 and that during the Thunder King patch of Pandaria when I got lucky in obtaining some rare thunderforge blacksmithing recipes for weapons and armor that I crafted and sold for 50,000+ each on the auction house. Of course money making has never really been my focus either, if I have some extra mats and crafted items I drop them in the auction house, but that's about it.
I've noticed chromietime creates fresh shards where you basically get every world boss to yourself. So get a buddy who's in what ever expansion you want to inv you to group. And leave the "live" behind. It just eliminates competition for a spawn.
I’m so happy with my huolon drop and having the new rajani warserpent drop I’m done with grinding for these below 1% mounts - love seeing people on them though. They’re super rare for a reason.
You can check your mounts usable on one character in the Statistics tab beside Achievements. Click 'Character' then 'Gear'. Log on a few alts to see who shows the most. For me it's a Blood Elf paladin.
I have Bruto and Feltalon, almost have the Pureheart. Never getting the others. Well, I'll get the raid mounts eventually, but not when current.

It'll take a while but keep an eye out for reputation buffs, and especially the Warsong and Arathi PVP brawls. Big reputation gains there. I'm on 104 exalted reps so know your pain...

My second run... went there on a whim. My guild was more shocked than I was haha
A friend and I both got the thundering onyx cloud serpent on out first kill. For a while we thought it must be a guaranteed drop for everyone.

I got mimiron's head because someone had invited me to the raid, and I couldn't wait to leave. so when someone told us all to roll on ,,,, (wasn't paying attention) I did. only cause, as mentioned, I figured the sooner we rolled on whatever item had dropped the sooner I'd get out of there :D

It's because so many people buy mythic raid carries. Right now it drops 2 mounts and usually a guild selling raids have geared all their players and everyone has the mount so the carried played usually gets a mount.
as a mythic booster I can tell you that a shitton of people actually buy mythic bosses carries
so the mount really loses its value fast
I remember seeing the swift white hawk strider and thinking "I want the white chocobo!" I also remember someone telling me it was less than a 1% drop. During cataclysm I believe it was, I decided I would start grinding out the raid in an attempt to get it and it dropped on my second run through. Man do I ever miss playing WoW.
So many people got this mount first try including me. I cant believe it has a drop rate about 4%…more likely 20%.
I got reins of the death charger when I was a noob at the end of last year and some of my rando dungeon group seemed genuinely disgusted hahaha. I think i made it worse by asking "Is iT GoOd?" lol

Thank god I value logic and base lore instead of collection, wolfs and normal horses will ever be my mounts of choice, and a simple dragon for flying if I'm feeling too heroic.

Well bit of a difference between hard and impossible, those mounts are no longer obtainable so dont fit the theme I was going for in this vid.
Glad mount is way harder than cutting edge. In fact, the cutting edge should be lower than the 5mil gold mount, because it's cheaper to get a mythic endboss boost than the AH dino. Also ANYONE can be boosted through mythic, you can AFK while you get the boost. For a gladiator mount, getting boosted is a bit different. Nobody can boost the worst players, so you would have to break the ToS if you don't meet the requirements, and buy a real money boost where someone else plays your account. But breaking the ToS and being banned aside, only players who can get to about 1800 in a team of similar skilled players on their own, are even boostable to 2400 by R1 players. 1800 rating is under 10% of the ladder usually, so you would have to be in the best 10% of the people who actively play arena, to even dream about buying a boost, which still requires you to give your best every match.
And based on how many people have them, the SL gladiator mount is owned by 0.39% of the population according to dataforazeroth. Meanwhile, over 1.5% of the population have cleared mythic nathria, a raid I have heard is particularly hard to clear, that killed many guilds before reaching the last boss. And still, 4 times more people got that than 2400 rating.
Let's take BFA where it was said to be the easiest expansion to get a "free glad mount". A whopping 0.5% of players have BFA S4 2400 rating mount. Over 5% of the playerbase had cutting edge Nzoth. That is insanely common. For the other raids of BFA it was around 3% that got cutting edge, and 0.13% of the population got 2400 in those seasons. To put it even more into contrast, getting rival, 1800 rating in BFA was harder than cutting edge in any of the major raids. That is still insanely far from the 2400 mount.
Point being, the 2400 mount should be on the top N1. spot. It is unboostable for 97% of the playerbase, and 99.5-99.9% of the playerbase can not get it on their own, depending on the season. Meanwhile the cutting edge mount is not obtained by 95-97% of players, depending on the season. And anyone, even if you literally have no hands, can get it by buying a boost.
Also I'm not just a PvPer who is salty over people underestimating the skill and dedication required to play arena. The top 1 spot IS a PvP mount, one that should be on the 2nd or even 3rd spot instead of 1st. "Why? Is it not more rare than any other?" Yes technically, but it is not that hard to grind, most people just do not know how to grind meaningless honor. You do RBGs. Rated BGs on any rating give insane honor level gains, and most RBG players have above 1k honor level.
Time-Lost Proto Drake took a lot of camping and NPC scanner! Great mount at the time though!
At the time of Wrath I agree, but nowadays it's so easy to get it. With all the secret finding discord grps / communities and ofc boosting (I bought my TLPD for 300k gold ) it's not that painful to do. Also TLPD got that luck factor aswell, my in-game friend at the time of wrath got it while doing the dailies for the White polar bear, while some people camped it for 100+ hours without finding it... The list is great at it is because it focuses on pure dedication, and not luck.

Logged in an hour before Legion launched and decided to solo ICC to kill time. Invincible dropped. Under 30ish total clears. Firelands took me like 8 years with 2 toons a week for any mount to drop, then they both dropped within a month. Headless Horseman took ever year until 2019.
im so happy i got my rajani warserpent in the first month of 8.3 and i saw a guy like that with the heavenly onyx cloud serpent he had 800 something achivement points still salty about that ...
hardest mount to get: Camel from recruit a friend, cuz we all know, if you play wow, you aint got real friends or a real life, its all digital like blue pill matrix.

getting close on the rep mount... I actually also got the Winterspring Frostsaber back when it was hard to get; grinding quests for 75 rep each, 8 min per run... It was just a year later that they made it ridiculously easy.

I have my ZG tiger since BC. Never used any other mount, maybe Baron horse for shadow priest or dk. I'm sticking with them, they are majectic AF.

I'm blissfully unaware of WoW news for the most part, so I didn't know that the Bruto was going to be removed. As a collector I figured I'd get around to it one day. When I did find out, it was about 5 months away. Now I'm not a gold farmer, I get the gold I need and I'm happy with that. I don't utilise the AH because mostly, the pop is small and we have some pretty hardcore AH pvpers dominating it. So the only way I could think to get it, was to do old raids on multiple toons. Which is what I did for those 5 months. Plus Island Expeditions and various other things. It was possibly the most miserable time I'd ever spent in WoW before. I'm most proud of my 100 rep mount and 450 mount, but the Bruto, that thing triggers my ptsd lol.
I use my mom’s old account from back when she played WoW with my dad (who’s been playing about 16ish years) so I have the Onyxian Drake that she got forever ago on her first try and my dad is still always jealous of it lmao

I remember taking a new player through mount runs with me. He got Invincible his first run through. I told him I wss happy for him..but really I seeked vengeance. Knowing he was a new player in a pvp server I made a hunter in the opposite faction and boosted myself up to 120 and I waited.. watching for him to fly to the ground on that damn mount when suddenly it happened. He landed to turn in a daily and I stunned him and blasted his health away. I laughed as he resurrected and begged for mercy... but this is WOW...there is no mercy. I slaughtered him and stole his wow GF. He sat crying at the steps of Light's Hope Chapel as I was marrying his wife "Glendra" I may not have the mount still after 1,000 times, but I still give myself hope
And what about Rivender's Deathcharger? Took me 400 runs, gave me 20 Runic Blades (sic!) and 1 horse.
I just got pureheart courser today. I have been playing since 2014, so it took a very long time. It has a nice special stnds on hind legs and turns around. I don't have any of the others. Good luck to anyone farming these.

the day i got ashes years back.... we needed 1 more for BT so my mate got invited for last boss only on his rogue glaive dropped and he got it...... I know its not mount but getting a glaive back then and only being in the group for that boss nothing else is sweet..... and gettig a glaive drop and ashes same day was sweet too

I wanted this hard on my main and nearly quit over not getting it. Luckily for me I got it on an alt and now with mount share can ride it on the toon I wanted it for.

I got all 12 classes in legion to at least prestige rank 5 for the 1st pvp artifact skin with some up to like rank 12 I think just doing the pvp wqs. And even after they made our honor pts account wide, I was only at honor level 172.
Mighty Caravan is going to be even more rare cause it's going on the BMAH. Also, while not the absolute hardest, The Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent, I hated pandaria for the longest time after doing the stupid rep. Also Obsidian Worldbreaker, The fights were buggy or too difficult and someone people just gave up so they never got it.
I have had a couple really lucky mount drops (first 10-20 attempts), but invincible fucking haunts me.
524 attempts and counting. I don’t even want to use the mount at this point now that glad mounts are account bound, it’s just principle now.
I feel your pain... but I finally got it doing the quick way! If you have a bunch of level 120, you can run one through the first 11of 12 boss then switch and invite one of you other toon to just kill LK. It still a pain but because it was easier I use all of my 120 instead of burning out after afew and got it in 2 weeks with a little luck. I'd have to say the hardest and rarest mount to get in-game, is the Love Rocket. It's only available once per year, and the drop chance is insanely low. It's not like you can farm it everyday doing what you like (if you like PVP for example).
I have the merciless gladiator mount from TBC season 2 on my Warlock, flying speed 310% I think it is. I dont play anymore but that mount is by far my proudest achievement in the game.
Just one thing, the 250 honor lvl mount, was prestige 20 in legion(Or something like that)in BFA they make honor account wide. (So if you have, let's say, 5 prestige 20, you can get the honor 500 mount)
The toughest grind I ever did in WOW was the Thundering Ruby Cloud Serpent. It took me months.

The brutosaur can be very easy if you find the right way to make golds. I made most of my golds with a single gamebreaking farm, and I still had no idea how to make more than 50k a day when I still played the game.

I tried to get the Headless Horsemen Mount for over a decade and finally got it in 2020. The only good thing to happen that year... THAT was the Hardest Mount to get for me.
Yea the pureheart courser is WAY harder to get than the auction house mount, sorry lol. I stopped playing in WoTLK and in Legion I made a new account. I had 0 reps. It's taken me so fucking long to get around 60 reps inbetween current content. Making gold on the other hand is relatively easy and can also happen as you play. You gotta go way outta your way to farm reps. Plus all the questing to unlock the dailies in the first place. Oh and if you don't have Draenor/ Legion flying it'll take even longer.

with all the "buy your mythic raid clear ahead of the curve" going on, i personally think it kind of lessens the impact of number2 on the list .
The way I look at it is the players offering those services still needed to reach the skill required to not only clear the raid but clear it with a handicap. Doesn't take away from the difficulty of the mount itself
I think that latest CE mount can be considered hard in 2 different ways. Either you are good at the game or you are good at making gold.
If you say that long boi is hard to get, buying a boost to get the mount is also hard for the same reason.
Out of curiosity I asked about the price of a M Nzoth with mount boost and they said 4.5mil. Even if someone bought gold with tokens that would be $766.05. That's a little less than 2 weeks of working a $15/hr job. It's just a different kind of grind than sitting in front of a screen. Honestly trying to feel prestige from owning something, especially something virtual is pointless and empty. I bought the brutosaur just for the mount. I would've gladly paid less if it was just a 3seater without the AH npc.

I have the Prestigious Bloodforged Courser. The old fashioned way, never knew of any exploits, pvp is what I do to break up dailies. Fun times.
You probably exploited it by accident without realizing it cause I believe it was accounts wide so when you leveld up alta it stacked up this the exponential numbers required to get the super high #
Hardest mount to get is Tyrael's Charger. My Pandaren looted it from Treasure Goblin on the first try. Treasure Goblin is a rare event so you already guessed the difficulty, much more the percent chance this event would drop the mount for you. Guess I am the luckiest WoW player in the world for looting Tyrael's Charger (yes, Tyrael's Charger is a Charger that flies).

You can get the honor level 500 mount easy if you run 3 accounts and have lots of characters doing the honor quest in av,ashran,wintergrasp and doing daily epic bg win and com stomp brawl if it's up. Took me 64 days (10-15 hours per day) to grind my last 200 honor levels so it's possible to get this mount fast if you have time to spend

Dude srsly? Based on this logic you can buy every mythic raid mount, but it does not work cuz people dont use it that way. You must buy 25 token by a price of 200k to get 5mil in the eu. Thats 500€, and no you because you know someone you had done it, does not mean everyone does it.

Last I checked the reputations count there were only 104 in the game at the end of bfa. 2 are unobtainable now but if you have them they count. Meaning you have to grind all but 2 reps in the game for that mount. The number may be up to 106, since I last counted in 8.2 and they added 2 more in 8.3.

ive been farming the Barons mount, Invencible, and the blue proto off and on sc 2008. I STILL dont have any of them. but my guild got 6 Hellfire Infernals, and one of them is mine!
I got the green version of the Pureheart mount in a daily AP grind chest, I was 1 on 2 on the server. It is still my favorite non-flying mount
My rarest n most proud to own mount is the deathchargers reigns i know its not that rare anymore but i was sooo excited and happy when i got it back in cata being a human rogue riding an undead horse
Just one thing... you must have forgotten that the cuting edge mount can be bought, in my server is about 4M right now because only 1 guild is selling it, but it is still cheaper than the 5kk dinosaur. I heard that a couple of servers have it allready under de 2.5M, what is half of the dino. Personally, i would have put the 400 mount achiev's mount on second place.
Didn't forget that just ruled it as a factor as with enough ingame gold or real money you can buy anything you want. It still takes the guild providing the service to have high skill and dedication in the first place and a step even further if they are handicapping themselves with a boosted person.

@@Edelenaustin because that isnt the same logic. The reason RNG mounts arent on there are because of the exact reason I explain at the start of the video, someone could spent 1 minute, on their first attempt and get the mount, you cant do one Battleground and get 500 honor levels

@@Edelenaustin Time is one of the main skills in WoW, do you have enough time to learn the fights or learn all the class spells? Then you can achieve things like Glad or Mythic, or enough gold to buy a carry for them. I personally consider having to grind something out for hours a day, over the course of 2 or even more years to be hard. I dont expect everyone to agree but well it's my list ha and I did ask for opinions etc before putting the final list together.

Yeah it's a mount that really shows you have dedication. I'd be down for less mounts per expansion moving forward but more complex means to obtaining them. I'd imagine im in the minority with that thought but there are already a ton of mounts to keep a collector busy, be nice to have more mounts that provoke a reaction.

Yeah it may have been a guaranteed drop, but with the chances of being lucky enough to find the portal, and only one person being able to click on the portal between spawnings, that thing was a real bitch to get and I still haven't gotten it

I think the raid mount personally, from my perspective, won't be that bad. Corruptions will allow us to scale upwards in damage as the tier goes on, making DPS and healing checks easier and easier. I have a feeling a lot of guilds will see CE their tier thanks to it.
Raiding also isn't very easy, and I'm probably going get some spam for saying this. However it's just as hard as high end PvP for the reason of you have to learn your class and spec super well. Along with pushing as hard as you can in terms of DPS, to stand a chance of winning. Both are very difficult to learn and do well in, but to me the difficulty is pretty much the same.

I thought the same thing but when I put my money together among all my characters I had 3.5 million so I thought "what the hell, let me grind a bit for it". Ironically I use the AH a LOT more now that I have the Brutosaur than all my WoW time before put together.

I'm going to say that brutosaur isn't hard at all. Your can either buy gold VIA wow tokens with your real money, or you can just be a booster/advertiser in a big boosting community. 100 reps is arguably harder then 400 mounts. 400 mounts is actually pretty common now
