They do look very good. We had them growing up with chicken livers. Our grandparents would make gravy to go over some of them with our mashed potatoes. We always had bread of some kind to eat with our meals and sliced tomatoes. This is a great meal and when we grew up they were almost free. Now that people with money like meats that we poor folks enjoyed the prices have gone up. But this is a great meal that I will try.
Gizzards and chicken liver deep fried is one of the greatest meals one can have. As Mr. Ron said when you add gravy it takes it to another level. Mrs. Gina, have you ever boiled the gizzards in chicken stock before you fry them. Thank you for the tip will peel next time i fix gizzards. Last thing they looks so freaking good 😋
Awesome video, Gina! I love chicken gizzards. These look so amazing and delicious! Thank you for sharing this! I love you Gina and family, God bless you all ❤️🙏🏼🤗
I❤gizzards ‼️ I tell my grands they’re steak bites and they❤ them too bcuz if I said they’re gizzards it’ll be an IMMEDIATE NO‼️🤣 I put mines in the crockpot…seasoned…for a few hours to tenderize them then batter.m and fry…the last time I cooked in crockpot then smothered in gravy …Both were🔥🔥🔥 Yours look amazing ‼️🔥🔥🔥
With all smiling and encouraging words-this recipe is not good, the gizzards were hard not tender…please listen to me…boil them for at least 1hr with your choice of aromatics: onion, garlic etc. remove cool them down a bit, then go with her recipe. She is an exciting person but her recipe has missed the mark-hopefully I bridged a bit with boiling.
Yup, gizzards are tough! The reason kfc's are tender is because they are pressure fried, if you don't have that ability you have to do a different process to break them down before frying.
I tried this recipe today and followed it as in video It was good but they we’re almost too salty! The seasoned flour has enough seasoning on it’s own. They were not tender as I thought they would be and I soaked mine in buttermilk for 10 hours😢kinda disappointed but next time I will tweak it and make it my own.
I suggest you BOIL them for 2 hrs first then let them cool down for like 10-15 minutes before going to the hot sauce step > then flour them (if it's seasoning in the flour already don't season them in the hot sauce step) > fry them up (for extra crunchy gizzards, substitute flour with egg and corn meal 😋
Actually have that on my bbq menu. Called Highball Smokehouse. I fry mine also and toss Nashville hot chicken seasoning, smokehouse maple seasoning, and onion powder.
I remember chicken Gizzards the last time I had them they were pretty tough tougher than leather as a matter of fact and ever since that tough experience I made sure I never had it again. But yours looks delicious Gina nice and tender that's the way its supposed to be Amen 🙏 😋🐻🐻❄️🐨
Number 1 your so beautiful, number 2 thank you for sharing this recipe. I love chicken gizzards and so does my grandson but never knew how to cook them. God Bless sweetie. Number 3 I subscribed ❤yummy and Amen
That recipe looks so delicious, I love chicken gizzards and I am definitely gonna try it next time, also I want you to know that you are very beautiful and very sweet person ,thank you for sharing your recipes.😊
I love cooking chicken gizzards eyeball them with green bananas way to the cool off until onions into the bowl and make a Dominican salad the nice and juicy and the onions gives it a little crunch that is one of my favorite salad
I have never eaten chicken gizzards but I would try them if they were boiled or baked. I do not eat fried food. I loved the turkey gizzard in our Thanksgiving turkey.
I was a cook in the Air Force in south Georgia. I learned lot from people from the south and what the Air Force taught me . Got the best of both worlds. worlds
I can’t say they taste just like chicken, but similar. The main way for fried gizzards is to not over cook them. They are tough when over cooked. I dredge mine in egg and milk mixture then bread in plain white flour, if they are heavily breaded they come out too crispy for me. Plus the extra crispy cuts my gums. Just cook until golden brown on all sides and they won’t be tough.
@@jamielang4449 Interesting. Thank you very much. I've seen them in the store but have never tried them. What I'm also curious to try is beef liver. Haha.
I have a serious question I tried to use butter milk with homemade Alfredo and I smelled it and it was sour and smelled bad. Idk if that's how it's supposed to smell so I threw it out and never brought it again.
Darling, you rock, I have an old white boy from Chicago. I love gizzards no one in my family does bug me. I’ve tried a half dozen different recipes and they never turned out quite right. I watched your video and I’ll be down buttermilk makes all the difference in the world I don’t know what your marital status is but if you’re single, I’d marry you that’s how happy I am thank you for your video and instructions. Your video doesn’t do you justice.
Thank you for the great tips. Looks so delicious I can't wait to try. I never made gizzards before because the ones I've treated were always tough, but yours looks amazing ❣️
Hi there! Hope your day is going great! I never knew about the washing process that you do. Can you make a video on that process please. Thank you ma'am
As an architect I can assure you that grey faux stone would be a better presentation for your counter wall it would help bring out the cabinets, too. If you need someone or some money to do it, let me know. Your kitchen is too beautiful for that backsplash.😊
My fam gets mad when I touch each one and I say we’ll you eat fast food that peoples hands been all over with no gloves so what are we talking about here why you mad Bruh???🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I tired making the gizzards the same exact way but they were to salty! maybe because that flour already is seasoned and I added a little more salt So a couple of days later I tried it without using that particular flour I just used regular flour the buttermilk black pepper and garlic powder they were perfect!

Okayyy 😊
Yes you must if you do not have a pressure fryer. Boil them and then fry them.
Surprisingly booze is good for flavor. You won't get drunk from it, but get some amazing flavor.

Soaking them in buttermilk also tenderizes the meat.

Should boil the gizzards for no less than an hour prior to frying them so they come out tender and not rubbery
