Hi Scott, Great video! I love the idea of a closing/opening ceremony between journals. Your handwriting is really nice too. Looking forward to seeing future videos!
I love this. I’ve done all the super creative journaling and I just cannot keep up with it. I just started journaling AGAIN today and it was basically a brain dump of different categories and then a few paragraphs on some thoughts. I put a few stickers on afterwards in the remaining spaces and I freaking LOVE this method. It’s like the best of both worlds: simple and in the moment…and still a bit of decorating that is done after the fact just for fun.
Nice an' simple setup, love it! Really like that you have the people that you care about listed at the beginning of the journal, so cool. I've been trying BuJo for some time with mixed feelings and results, all the Future Log and Monthly log stuff. The biggest mistake was to put everything in one place so that work and personal got all bundled up together. Since then I've tried to keep things in separate places. Now we have a seperate garden journal where the future log does work with 6 months or two seasons at a time to a two page spread. There we can reflect on what we did, and have to do, each month, as well as index pages where more details can be found etc. In Australia, we call them "dot points" not "bullet points" so I call my journals DoJos now (and in a way a Journal is a DoJo for where you train your thinking, so there is that too). Feel I have some ideas to share, please accept in the spirit in which they are given: Journal: Tabs or square mark at the page edge, lined up with index line so that either specific or related pages are easier to find. Pen: A colleague uses a hypodermic syringe to transfer ink, which you can do with a plain old plastic cartridge by removing it from the pen when it is dried up and slowly transferring new ink into it from the opening, have to be careful with not going too fast or you end up with bubble over the opening. Personally I've had mixed results, I imagine it becomes really useful when the ink well is running low. We're all different. It gives me something to talk about ...
When I seen you use the Twiby, I was going to ask you about an issue I had with mine, but you answered my question at 7:00. I did what you suggested and the pen writes so much better. Thank-you.
So glad to see you've joined the RUclips community! These types of how to videos are really powerful! As a side note, you may consider a softbox light to offset the light from your window.
Scott I just subscribed to your channel. I love it, I never thought to use my fountain pen and I love writing with one. Your penmanship is beautiful, use beautiful journals, I collect them I have beautiful journals and comp books but my content sucks, excuse that word but it does, have you a video on content, I write dumb things I swear. I have recently started leaving a prayer somewhere in the days writing, I think that's all I do correctly.
Hi Scott - I just discovered your channel today, and watched a couple of your videos, which I enjoyed. I Iike your laid back, easy manner. Have you made any more recent videos? Thanks.
It depends on the composition notebook. I use a fountain pen in mine, but I had to search for ones that were fountain-pen friendly. I then bought what will probably be more than a lifetime supply - I expect to run out of me long before I run out of them. I don’t know if they’re still the same, but the ones that worked best for me are from Staples, but they have to be the ones that are made in Brazil. They don’t bleed through or smudge. Also, you have to use a relatively fine point nib.
Hi Scott, so glad to hear that you have a list of folk you pray for. Here in the UK we have become very godless so it good know that you have brothers who love the Lord.
I wish I had a fountain pen for every subscriber! But, sadly I don't. I do have a journaling schedule for you though! Check out the link in the description! That might help!

@@NNA12805 Thanks Neil.
With the simple Composition notebooks, will a fountain pen bleed through? Or so you need a different paper for those?

Do you use the same brand of note books?
Great video! How do you use the post-it notes?
