Now imagine if Ken and Yukari use healing skills. Ken and Koro using insta kills. Imagine Junpei as a crit machine.

At first I actually didn’t like the way this track sounded compared to the original, but the more I listened to it the more I grew to appreciate it. While the original is more emotional and solemn than the reload version, the reload version is much more accelerated and energetic, while still maintaining some of the emotional parts of the original. In a track about good friends turning against each other and battling each other, it makes sense why it’d sound emotional, but a fight is still a fight, so it makes sense why the reload version decided to make it sound more aggressive than the original.
I would compare specifically to the Special Ver. that’s floated around for awhile, as a lot of that energy comes from, but it keeps the original notation instead of being a full blown remix.

the original definitely had a more industrial sorta feel. its like mechanically chugging along with small bits of remorse because in context, thats really all aigis and metis could do. the remake is good but it lost what made heartful cry special
The original also use mostly electric guitar for it's background melody. The real difference is the bass at the end and the synth right before the electric guitar chords.
The original from fes is my favorite theme in the series so I purposefully abstained from listening to it before I got to the part where it plays in episode aigis, got to it yesterday and was blown away by how good it is ❤

I think the instruments being more consistent throughout makes it less dynamic if that makes sense. Though I listened to the original like 1,000 times so it might be cause I picked up on all the little details throughout and haven’t for this version yet.

Aigis' Theurgy is comprised of some of the original fusion spells that we have yet to see in the Journey (Reload)! Can't wait for that!
