Finished the game a couple of hours ago, so I decided to check out all the bad endings and failed deadline consequences out of curiosity... Holy shit, these are dark! The narration is so good, really adds to the 'you fucked up' vibes.
Not a failed deadline, but apparently there's also a bad ending for answering wrong in the sanctum. I didn't even realize I had gotten a bad ending until credits started rolling, cause Persona usually gives you an "are you sure" before you make choices that lead to a bad ending.
Drakodios ending is actually very sad for Gallica. She already helped him, give moral support, and also give a warning and yet she is still loyal to him until their death, all because of his laziness
spoiler i guess? fantasy is dead has another meaning. fantasy can also be described as a dream or dreamlike which can be described as ambition and romance. so when fantasy is dead, it means the dream died something that was hoped for is no longer possible. the other meaning is quite literal. as the dream version of the prince literally died. aka the mc. the prince`s shadow, soul, persona. that said. when the dream is no longer possible, mc would quite literally disappear. as the mc can longer be what he was supposed be and becomes nothing.
It's the first one you mentioned. If the protagonist joins Louis, the fantasy is "ruined" because the dreams of a world without inequality are "corrupted." If he accepts More's offer, the fantasy becomes "just fiction" because he gives up on them.
@@TuxDroid Spoiler After he becomes the prince only the first one applies, but before the second version applies as well. Since the mc is a dragon based on the princes wishes, once that wish no longer becomes possible, and his "fantasy" dies, so will the mc eventually fade away as well just like more did around the ending of the game since he had no body to return to due to Zorba destroying the kings body at the funeral, (on another note makes you wonder what would have happened if he didn't and more would have then revived the king as a younger version of himself)

At what point do your allies just decide to do it themselves without you? Game design aside, but every time in a SMT game that has deadlines your allies should just ignore your apathy and do it themselves, lol.
There’s a free game where one of your companions can run to finish a neglected mission but he’s… wounded as a result. … well now I kind of want to see an SMT game do that and have Spirit Hunter style endings (where it’s decided by what companions are still alive).
The 1st (the Rumbling) and 4th deadline events are great, the others are just "and then they died" Spoilers from here on Especially the last one, Louis himself said that in his new world your party has enough willpower to survive
The willpower that would've allowed your party to survive Louis's world is what drives their success in fighting against it. To be defeated or to accept Louis's offers is to fail to demonstrate that willpower. So a party that allows itself to fall into one of these bad endings is one that can't survive Louis's world. And given that our party (and pretty much everyone) draws on the people around them to support that willpower, in effect nobody can actually survive Louis's world. Not even Louis himself, who still clings onto the dream of finding someone truly strong to join him.
Not going to lie, the only two bad endings that were any good both involved Zorba. The others were pretty meh, as if they were afterthoughts. Still glad I got to see them. I never could bring myself to get the bad endings after the first one. A bit too much time investment for a small cutscene.

Ending 3 - yeah this one is a bit confusing but following the time line of events, not infiltrating Charadrius means the protagonist never meets Junah, meaning she alone tries to steal the formula. She likely succeeds since Glodell only finds a problem with the protagonist leaving the soiree. From there, it's VERY hard to say what happens.
