    Robby it is amazing how much of the knowledge you learned from demolition derby school you apply daily to align wheels and axles, build motors, and tweaking frames then welding them back into their perfect position to achieve maximum performance!

    5:28 Hillbilly did a great job showing me something I always wondered but was too lazy to google, that's amazing how fast the modern welding helmet flips from dark to visible, it's instant. Thanks so much for that, that's neat.

    • @marvindebot3264
      @marvindebot3264 Год назад +3

      Good ones are instant, cheaper ones have a slight delay because they are just solar whereas the good ones have batteries. If you use one every day you want one with batteries as the 10th of a second instead of a 100th adds up eventually.

    Another great video ! Almost wish they were longer and or more frequent. This is just cool stuff 😎 👌. So watching it is extremely entertaining. Beats anything that shows on the television.... looking forward to getting back to the Broncstar and seeing it come together. The Jeep build is cool ... the Hellcat is very interesting and curious to see if it totals out or not. Almost a crying shame how quickly insurance will total a vehicle. When in the right hands and a shop like yours. It can be repaired. Which seems to be a trend with many shops anymore. Instead of using the skills and experience to repair the vehicle. They just aide the insurance and price it out to a point. So it totals out and gets out of the way for the next vehicle. I understand the whole cost of parts and labor and etc.. nowadays. But it sure seems like the drive and talent to do the repair work is fading. Total it toss give the client a check [insurance] and go get another one... next. Anyway bit of a rant there... Really enjoy your channel and the builds . Looking forward to seeing what's next. 😎 👍

    • @mikeworkman3593
      @mikeworkman3593 Год назад +3

      LOL, they make like 4 videos a week. Some channels do like one a month or fewer.
      Also, if you have a $65k car that has $30k worth of damage, they'll make more money selling the dead carcass at auction and just replacing the car. Probably more money in labor than the parts. NOW if you're watching a channel like superspeedersRob(which is a good channel if you're into watching supercars and other interesting stuff about body shops and just cars in general he also is building a house from scratch, a nice custom house and he filmed the whole thing like a TV show.) he explains in detail the cost of fixing an expensive sports car. Rob(Rob from superspeeders) owns a rental business in New Jersey and rents exotic cars there and in Miami, and also does tours all over the world. His cars are always getting wrecked. He makes more money off the wrecked cars cause he can charge like a $1k a day in loss of use to the insurance company. He also does news in exotic car industry, the channel is pretty interesting.

    • @straubdavid9
      @straubdavid9 Год назад +2

      My glovebox was too small, so I called the insurance company. Instead of sending a new box .... they totaled it. Had the batteries go dead in the flashlight that I keep in the glovebox. Once again, instead of sending a new battery .... you guessed it .... they totaled the whole car. 🤣😂🙃Sorry .... couldn't help myself 😎🥴Take care 👍🏻✌🏻

    The manual bottle jack in that press will get tiresome. Get yourself one of the pneumatic ones. But keep the manual one, there are times you'll need it. Also, when you are worried about the frame or vehicle teetering, just strap the light side to the lift arms.

    Please do this for us, show us the complete evaluation and/or repair of the 700HP Hell Cat. You have shown us so much in the repair of the Nugget, and other vehicles like derby cars that don't rely on precision to make them whole again, it would be nice to see a precision job to bring one back to life. It would be nice to see the expensive machines that you have at your disposal such as the frame straightening rig to demonstrate the work you have to go through to bring it back to life. It would be a good advertisement for the repair industry.
    If the Hell Cat is doomed to be scrapped, how about you purchasing it from the Insurance Company so you can use the motor and other parts for other projects?

    Can you ratchet strap the frame to the lift arms to prevent the frame from teetering?

      100%, would make alot of sense to do that, they almost had one crash off a few weeks ago, was it the jeep, or broncstar l? as they disassembled it...needs to start being a 2nd nature safety to do item for them before something happens
