Just pull the motor, trans, rear and wiring then build a super nice 71 Dodge Challenger R/T restomod for the drivetrain.
There would be no point in it bc it would be a older vehicle with a new styled motor so it doesn't make it as valuable as a older body and a older type of motor
Put the motor in a dodge dart XD or a dodge caravan LOL

@@rokkero564 I started off painting Mercedes and BMW, went to school at PPG, then worked various shops before going into apprentice training. I'm a parent with a kid, 28 year old but I'm also old school. Charger never made a 4 door in the 60s and 70s, that's why I bought a challenger. But to each his own.

Nope! It hit a temporary medium and got jacked up on the pass side front. It's 8 inches higher on the front right, wheels off sitting on a flat. It's toast.

I'd suggest, looking at the marks, that the car slid into a cable barrier and flipped
Yeah, roof damage was a dead giveaway to a flip/roll.
Red seat belts would look good. I have never seen a roof replaced that would be cool to see hows its done

My dad wreck a Nova in the late 70's . Went in the ditch & under the fence into a field. Same roof damage. I'd cut out the door damage then weld in medal patches . It would save some money.
Dude this build should be killer! Roof replacement is tricky but will make great channel content ! When its done, please do a victory smoke show to end all smoke shows!
Almost sure it ran off the road and hit the cables they are putting on alot of the interstates

Keep the hood stock with the stock striping package. Can’t wait to see the roof and a pillar replacement. I’m curious to see how that’s done!

I like the stripes, yes to the red seat belts, I would go with JLT cold air intake, the thing I like about Hellcats is when they pass you there so menacing looking and when they take off its epic to see in person. The other thing I find interesting about Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep vehicles is the airbags do seem to only deploy where needed. In all my years of traveling vehicles running off or run off the road depending on how far down or up, the trees determine where the car goes, that could be what happened there.

I did a little research a brand new hellcat starts at 64,000. You can pick one up for around 8 grand maybe but the motor alone is worth 15,000!
IF you don't want to fry your electrical system don't hookup your charger with battery connected disconnect the terminals or you will fry the computer components. I might join the club buy a wrecked hellcat too. I wouldn't restore it I would do a mad max build out of it if it was me leave the scars. As long as it runs and drives and the inside is secure go for it. Or find an old dodge pickup like a 70's body style and shoehorn that bad boy motor and drivetrain in it make a sleeper.

Lots of damage but you sound like you'll be able to get it done eventually. Bet that door panel the driver either braced on or fell off on impact, mostly just plastic push pins hold it in.
Great luck to you on this one V-tuned! I know you can do it, it's just going to take some serious money/time/effort. Price the work and parts out to see if you really think it's worth it and if it's not, just part the car out and see if you can make your money back that way.

That interior took a beating from all the rain. You are going to have to gut the entire interior so you do not get any mold growing.

Would be cool if you could have the seats redone with red/orange leather down the center. You might have to do it because of the rain damage. I can't believe Copart would not have put a tarp over it. A saving grace is that charger parts are dirt cheap from the bone yards. This is going to be a great build. Looking forward to seeing how you do that roof.
Shame, how difficult would it have been for the salvage yard to cover that broken sunroof with a tarp?

We just finished a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack rebuild and it seemed like the damage was not that bad - until it turned out that front end parts were so expensive for those cars!.. :( Anyway, the car came out pretty sick and it was all worth it in the end.. Rebuilding salvage cars almost always makes sense if you know what you're doing.

Looks like a highway center cable divider that the car hit by the marks in it, why I think that is I bought my 08 srt8 charger back when i hydro planed into one, it did some similar marks on that car that I'm fixing now
Cable barrier damage its gone thru with one or more cables going up over the roof hence that damage , they stop accidents but cause alot of damage
Take that motor out and put it in another car

@@imhooks Yeah, that's one project I never expect to see completed. I suggested in DIY's comments that he purchase an old used Challenger base model and just transplant the drivetrain, although that presents its own challenges (primarily electrical).
