  • This makes really quick work of this task. Much better than crawling around looking for power outlets

I’ve just bought 8 coins and 4 cans.
I’m currently prototyping table centre pieces stand with the coins and and part-frosted acrylic discs with polished edges.
My idea is to leave a coin with power block (tried a 10’000 mah block and easily stayed in standby mode ALL day, and then functioned for 8 hours after) and turn in at night for all the tables on the same group.
Hoping it looks fab and a “sell up” opportunity.
    Let you know once made.
Ps, the Ape lights are ACE !!

Well, some say yes & some say no. It just kind of depends on what your lighting objectives are. I'm doing it, but that's really not what they were built to do

Brian, have you used the Ape Coins? It appears that they are usb powered but the site mentions “batteries not included”. Are the coins rechargeable like the cans and sticks, or do they require batteries? If batteries, what size and how many. Thanks for the video!

"The Coin is the ideal product to create a quick and easy atmosphere for everything from mobile DJ events to simple home use. It can be used with a permanently connected power supply or with a USB power bank. Battery life will depend on the battery pack that is used, but one 16,000 mAh battery pack can power two coins for over 12 hours."
🦉 5V is a fairly common DC adapter voltage. You may already have one from a mobile phone. They want you to supply your own power via a USB port, an adapter, or a USB power bank.

They are USB powered, so you can plug them in, like how you would to charge your phone, or use a USB battery pack
