This was probably the most fun I've had reviewing a vehicle in a while, and the worst experience I've had editing in a long time, this was an intensive one! - Авто/Мото
MAN! My family and I ALL stood and clapped for your video! What a refreshing moment for us to see a review video from a Christian AND a scripture at the end! BRAVO!!! As the grandson of a world wide evangelist many years ago, I DEEPLY respect and appreciate you! DO NOT let ANYONE talk you out of this. If we were your parents, we would be so proud! Well done!
No sir Mr. Allen! I will not be talked out of it. Thank you so much for the kind words. Who are you related to?
Those are not factory wheels. I'd love to say bad words but dude... do some research.
Having owned about every model since 1972 I’d have to say this model is most iconic but my best one was the 1993 80 series. Virtually indestructible. PS: I owned them all from new. Yeah, I’m that old😄
I have a 1981 BJ46. Do you know what the EDIC is?
@fritty9927, I'm going to a stab at your age and say 63, lol. I have owned many Land Cruisers FZJ 80's (1992, 1993, 1994. The 1994 I did an overland trip from the USA all through Central America, It never let me down. I had 4 Runners, Tundra's and even a Prius, lol.. I'm current back in a 1980 FJ43, love this thing. Cheers!
@@bernardbarbour 69! I currently have a ‘14 FJ and a 21’ Tundra double cab.😄
80 series for sure is the best
Wow you got one of these legendary classics to review! Awesome!
I have a 1983 BJ40, I wouldn't say it's the best 4wd. But its hell of a fun to drive one.
Just found your channel from the f150 Lightning review! I love that you add scripture into your videos :)
I've have a fj40 for 15 years. just recently restored it so much fun to drive 😎 love the encouraging word keep it up the Lord is good !
Great video review reminds me of vehicles my parents drove when I was younger.
I have a Spring Green (original paint) 1970 FJ40 that I originally bought in 1993. One of my prized possessions. Nice to see your review of an FJ40.
Super cool! Thanks for posting.
I did enjoy the video! Per usual.
Yes, I love Proverbs as well!
I had a 73 back in the 80s I bought for $1800, had a soft top and was a blast in the summer with the top off, had the 236 straight 6 and a 3 spd 😊it amazes me what they go for now a days $$$
I had one, similar color that I applied myself, but a 1969. Mine had a PTO winch. 3 sp, all original drivetrain, except it had a 1976 disc brake front axle. It had a throttle locking cable so you could raise the rpm for winching. Also, one of those buttons should open the center vent which is on top just behind the hood. Right below the windshield. Mine also had a full hardtop, plus a full vinyl top, and a bikini top. Built my own tire and gas can carrier. Paid $2K for it back in 1995. Drove it all over the high desert of northern Nevada, Calif., and Oregon. Never let me down. Now my son has it, and is going though it completely to freshen it up. Wish I had it back.
Love this story!

Here's some pix of it from back in the day.

Other button is rear heater. Came standard but most were removed as they obstructed part of the cargo space
Awesome truck, I forgot that Toyota made that series. Great review.
Excellent review, God bless you and your family.
Isaac, you have made great video over the years but this by far takes the cake. I have a personal connection with the 70s Land Cruisers as my uncle had one growing up and I've ridden in one a few times. It is my dream to own one some day :)
Great job!
Even as a 2000s baby I grew up around matchbox cars, and that got me the craze for these FJ40s even when they are decades older than me
As an owner of a 67, I love this video !
I love you Marioo!!
Have you ever laid eyes on or driven the newest iteration of the FJ Cruiser. It was built from 2007-2014. I own a 2013 FJ and I wouldn't trade it for anything except a 1974 FJ Landcruiser. I enjoyed your video and recalled back to riding around in my older cousins 1970 FJ Landcruiser. Thank you.
Great work Isaac, top vehicles the 40 Series Landcruiser. Also wanted to thank you for boldness in the faith. Praise God that he is raising up men that bring the word of God into their work. God bless you.
Your front sidemarker lights are on backwards. 🤦♂️
Hi AlphaShark, nice video ! I own a 1979 BJ43 that is in a full restauration phase after I have been ripped off by an thug who slaughtered it and took my money and my time. If you can, make a little prayer for that Toyota to be finished the way it deserves it, I would appreciate it. I gave the car to another person who I hope is worthwhile restoring it. Many thanks to you, you are a good man. 😊
Amen, thanks its nice to ,, i love land cruiser so much sir
Great video. Some of your observations cracked me up. I realize you might just be repeating what the owner, or your dad told you though. Jump seats: those were not just a Toyota thing. We had a Chevy? station wagon when I was a kid that had them. Shifting instructions: not ever manufacturer had the gears in the same location so knowing the pattern was very helpful because figuring it out on your own was noisy and harmful to the vehicle! Locking hubs: getting out and locking the hubs was common on lots of vehicles for quite a few years. Parking brake: pulling it out engages it, turning and letting it go back in releases it. High beams: click once to turn them on, click again to turn them off. It was on every vehicle for years although I've never seen it between pedals like that. It was very helpful to find out the noise level. It was obviously fairly noisy even at 20mph. That alone might put a stop to my research on potentially buying one for a daily driver.
Love to see another 2F powered early FJ40. I have a 1969
I had to go back, I love those black side mirrors!
Your explanation is reality because I was born in 1960 and I still remember my father bought a Toyota land cruiser and at that time there was no proper road was built because we were looked after by Australian adminstration or Australian government and I knew and experienced of this truck and I believe this truck is very powerful than anything other vehicles made today in the world, but one thing is that there's no this type of vehicle running in my country PNG and one thing I really feel is that this truck breakdown needing any part of it, that's. only thing I think twice of it, comment from the county PNG,
Very professional presentation 👍
Great video as always, is there a way for us to submit our cars for review?
You could send me an email at alphasharkpictures@gmail.com
Could you please confirm the color and color code of your jeep?
@AlphaShark You said you wish they brought something like this back with vintage look but modern airbag. Toyota brought back the 70 series pickups they used to make but I don't know if they will bring it to the US Market. They are making them for a lot of other markets like Australia and Aussie love the 70 series Toyota. You should find a old Toyota 70s series and review it and compare it to the modern 70s series.
Awesome video. Hope you are feeling better. God bless
I am feeling much better, thank you for the prayers!
Your prayers for my father (many months ago) have helped. He was on his death bed, and now he is almost ready to come home. God is good!
Icon restores them. I had one few yrs ago that I restored. It was a bj but I pot in FJ 4.2 engine. Still slow. But loved it
All these features are in Mitsubishi J series as well. Low mounted air vents, side facing rear seats ....
I'm a jeep xj guy (Cherokee) and saw a j40 today for the first time. i really thought it was a jeep but i was wrong. i had no idea of the land cruiser or Toyota was even in the Willys game. now i want one
Wheels aren’t from the factory, only the caps
Don't know where you are located, but i have a fairly stock 1969 FJ40 with original three speed column shift and stock skinny tires id let you try out in Middle Tennessee
Dang I’m in PA, that’s a bit of a hike
Is this one made in Japan
This is not a suv, it's a tank! I had one so i know what i'm talking about.Todays Jeeps doesn't even come close to that FJ40.The jeep is not reliable, it's a pure insult to the true ww2 Wyllis Jeep!
My dream car! 😭
The Land Rover was yet another version of the willys Jeep. After World War II all of the willys Jeeps that were used by the British military were sold as surplus stock to Farmers. The British Farmers loved them so much that they demanded a version of their own.
Toyota 40 series is the best My dad owned an FJ40 - petrol engine.
5:00 What you are talking? 🤦🏻♂️
it’s NOT a SUV. it’s the ultimate off-road vehicle. please do not insult this vehicle by putting it in the same category as a Hyundai or Buick. that is like comparing a sunfish to an America’s Cup Racing Yacht.
Tell me how you really feel Glenn!
i mean if you want a modern version the fj cruisers exists
But it’s not exactly the same
You would be yelling louder if you were driving a Land Rover.
Common error, but Willys, is pronounced, “Willis”
Thank you! A few people have corrected me on this now
It bugs me that he says F40... It's and FJ40 DUDE
Do I say F40? I know I say 'J40' at a few moments in the video, that's because there were versions just called the J40.
Don't exaggerate, my Rig hits 60 on the freeway. The brakes are fine, don't tailgate.
Well this particular one actually had faulty breaks lol, I talked to the owner afterwards and he told me it had a slow leak and he hadn't driven it in awhile.
Great video! Although I love Toyotas I would much rather have a real Jeep!
In a choice between this year Jeep or Land Cruiser, completely stock, the Land Cruiser is far superior. IMO.
Good review, 3/10 rust joke
Man I tried so hard, when am I ever going to impress you Dad?
😭😭 this man just insulted trucks that have probably made me almost a million dollars
How have you made a million dollars?
