The running game with Connor has been our best and most consistent asset. We do need to keep building talent along the offensive line, however i wouldnt address that draft before 4 th rd. We need a DE, nose tackle, and quick LB and a tuff MLB in the draft. I'm good with current running backs. We'll see what positions are addressed in FA that might change our needs in the draft. There have several guys linked as good fits and I agree with some. I will before the draft give my list of players I like. I picked Harrison/ Robinson as my first rounders last year and my 2 QBs were Daniels/Nix. My texts are out there on the first rounders with the QBs being told to my sons. I also had several guys I liked on my list that went elsewhere, can't get them all I understand. But we had so many picks and we still missed on some. In the 2nd/3rd in particular I would have chosen differently and more defensive players. This draft concentrate on Defensive front 7 and OL, best available. I think secondary is pretty decent and a stronger rush will only help. I want guys with history of interceptions in their college careers in my backfield.
Pass game was humming 😂.. if you like under 8 yard passes..
lol before you start naming Max Melton a strength of this defense he should win a starting job first. When everyone is healthy he was CB 4 or 5 on the depth chart. Starling Thomas; a 6th round selection we signed from Detroit & Shawn Murphy-Bunting were both starting over him all year long lmao. This secondary wasn’t a strength of the team, nor was it a serious weakness it was an average NFL unit. The running game was the main strength of this team, there we agree; however we don’t agree on the wide receivers at all. You want to say MHJ had a good season, the stats say he had a lack-luster one & the eye-test provides us with an entirely different situation…he was more than a little disappointing to the eye-test. Hard to really evaluate this offensive lines true performance, since Kylar’s legs can & often do make them look better than they actually performed.
