For the curious, the instrument Elena is using is called a harmonium or pump organ.
I thought it was an Accordion
I thought it was an Accordion, couldn't you replicate the sound of the pump organ using an Accordion?
MrBlue The harmonium is played like a piano with keys, but the sound is generated by the bellow, pushing air. The accordion uses buttons and/or keys with pre-configured chords. You might be able to replicate the sounds of a harmonium on an accordion, but it'll sound a bit different.

You know how when you hear a song the first time it's burned in your brain as being The Version? If they play it a different way live or someone covers it it never tops the The Version. The studio version was the first hear I had of this and I loved it. Then I heard the LuQus Remix and really loved it. Now this one, and OMFG, this is the best thing I've ever heard!

There's only one thing I don't like about this song and that's when I try to sing along I get reminded to the fact that I've a terrible, terrible voice.

Nobody has a terrible voice. Singing became performance as an after-thought, at the root of it all, singing is every adjective, and the only bad voice is a voice that sings without any feeling

I found this song shortly after moving countries at a young age, i was lost and devastated but this song soothed me. It's been a little over 10 years since moving and i still come back here all the time because this is so soothing and healing.
By far, their best acoustic performance and version of this song. The beauty in her voice, her face, her music - her entire being accompanied by wonderful musicians. This is exactly why I love music because it's people like her and other great musicians that sing and speak out feelings that you can't quite describe. This is everything tied to what I define perfect.

I was blessed to have seen Daughter five times in California in 2016. Its the reason i have tinnitis today. But worth it. Best show in Solana Beach, extremely small venue. Front row center. When Elena sang, it was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. Everyone was completely mesmorized. A month or so later, going to that venue, some who worked there said that show was one of the most magical they have every hosted.
2008-2012ish was the era of best songs.
i miss the liveperformances with this song, sadly most live concerts she skipped the song. please go on tour and play it. id come just to hear that masterpiece live

I saw her in Baltimore, MD, US 8 years ago... I still always come back to this. Life is crazy. I am so different. It makes me cry. I've lost my dad. My life has changed so much. I hope I'm becoming a better person. It reminds me of who I think I am, who I want to be... I don't even know anymore. Things aren't bad, but am I who I want to be? Am I who I want to give the world?
...I guess we all miss who we were back then, in our youth, when we met that certain sweetheart we were so convinced we'd be spending the rest of our lives with, and by whose side we thought we'd be dying of old age. We sometimes think of them through songs like these and in between beers we drink alone, but we're no longer young and all we have now is the booze and the loneliness. All we are today is old people, filled with regret, waiting to die alone.
This is one of the most refreshing songs I've heard, it shows that real talent dose exists still within the music industry all you have to do is look! PS. It just makes me smile.

The first time I heard this song was the night I heard a from a friend of mine that he had relapsed with his cancer and was about to start chemo again. I still tear up thinking about it each time I hear this song. Such inspiration through your songs.
