I was there for weekend dinner 3 weeks ago, pity to overlook the sashimi upgrade option. Our first round of nigiri is good, but the variety rolls were not wrapped tight and very loose. The ika gaso is the best out of all fried stuffs, which is the premium grade in other fine dining, but not impressed for fried chicken and aged dasi tofu
I recommended this to my son after watching your video, told him to hit it up on the way home after dropping us off at LAX. He said the appetizers were spot on and the sashimi were high quality! the boy ate until he turned blue 👍
There is an AYCE Buffet in Mira Mesa (San Diego) called Natsumi. It’s less expensive than Sushi Damu but with crab legs, raw oysters, etc and a 2 hr time limit! I’ll def try if I go to OC tho

The food is usually served on plastic like most other AYCE sushi places. That said, I do love Sushi Damu! Much better quality than a lot of others in the area.

Steve, try Tomikawa in Irvine. Ayce… that place is always busy and sometimes the wait is ridiculously long but the freshness is consistent, in my opinion. Thanks again for coming to the OC!
You shojld try AYCE Sushi HB. Its so good there. Or there is Jang Soo in Hawaiian Gardens which has korean sushi which is amazing, but not all you can eat. Matsu in Huntington Beach is also good and so cute, but not all you can eat.
They have one in west covina, decent quality for the price. But I pretty much only go to Here Fishy Fishy at Ktown now when I crave for lots of nigiri, but doesn't wanna pay $100/person, in fact was just there last night! Best AYCE sushi place IMO, only place better than it, was light and healthy, back in the 90s, where it was AYCE, but made to order, at a sushi bar!! Too bad they are all closed.
@@RockstarEater you should definitely try Peter's Gourmet in Tustin. It's a hole in the wall spot and those foods are amazing especially that ABC Burger. Check them out one day and I can assure you that there will be no regrets. I'll join if you'd like. Stay blessed
Norway standards are far superior to US. In fact US salmon is banned in most of the rest of the world because of the poor way we farm our fish. Jammed packed with disease and filled with antibiotics....no thanks. Norway all the way.
The salmon from Norway is fresh as it is shipped directly from Norway immediately after being caught, with air freight ensuring its delivery in less than four hours

Tomikawa is good but not as good as this one.they have kind of boring similar sushi.
