I trusted your recommendation, and was not disappointed. Fish was of the highest quality, and rendered with generosity. Service was gracious. I first ate sushi in Fukuoka, Japan is the mid 1960's, and have never found better than Sushi 818 in the US. Thank you.
Great episode steve, I grew up in Glendale and this ayce sushi spot looks worth the premium cost. Glendale definitely got more expensive and touristy over the last 20 years.
I love this place! The food is fantastic, and the customer service is even better! I went and I ended up not feeling good (not related to the food) and they argued with me about paying LESS since I didn't eat a lot. they were so thoughtful and nice!
@@drobgyn5615 Only a couple places that are a B- at best. The two spots that I like out here in the 414 are Hungry Sumo and Rice N Roll. Can't seem to get that freshness here in the midwest that you can in the coastal states 😒 I'll be visiting LA again this summer and I'll be throwing down! 🍣
@thewurm9177 Damn well hopefully you have a field day when you come back out to socal lol I love the sushi scene here, it's legit. Hope you have aa good day man 💯
That AYCE sushi looks great quality. That's definitely worth it. The sushi buffet in my area are not premium quality sushi. The sushi chefs mainly like to make the cheap imitation crab sushi. That's not even real crab. I stop going there.
Looks like most of the sushi you see in buffet places in america is american fusion sushi. When i went to japan , it was mostly raw or sashimi type. Then i realize the sushi’s we eat in america is mostly fusion. The colorful one are the fusions and especially the sushi called california roll lol. Im not complaining as long as its good but i didn’t know most of the sushi i like was western fusion like not true traditional sushi
Almost all the rolls are American, especially the ones with English names like Dragon, Caterpillar, Rainbow, etc. For more traditional sushi, order nigiri or gunkan maki or temaki. I rarely order rolls.
This place is garbage... came in from out of town, took family here for dinner. The place was empty, which was the first indicator that something was wrong.... we decided to give it a chance anyway..... menu came out... ginger, lemon Wasabi came next.... it wasn't fresh..... we ordered the first round, and when foods came, it was not fres either.... it was mushy too warm and not tasty at all... they bragged about Alex so much, but he failed to deliver.... food.was horrible.... drinks were warm and the host/waitress was rude... disgusted, we ate only from the first round paid the $170.00 bill and left..... do not go here....... horrible experience

Hey Steve! Try Oishi Sushi in Canoga Park, or Ugly Roll in Palms. If you’re in the South Bay, try Sushi Anza in Torrance!
Sounds good

Please review ACYE of sushi and etc in Rancho Cucamonga area and surrounding. thx.
Steve, I think you'll like 808 in Artesia. Excellent authentic Hawaiian food.

Though american style sushi is picking up traction in japan and shops and eateries have popped up.
i know this is stupid but is tip included( service fee) in 55 usd or not?
I've lived all my life on cheap eats so I'm so pleased that I too have had to me good unagi in my life.
I enjoy smaller portions of sushi -- not sure I could eat (and enjoy) enough for this spot be worthwhile !
You may like sushi ashai in Riverside
How many people was this split between?
Steve you should try koya sushi in Whittier ca. it’s all you can eat
Sounds good
Nice. 👍💕💕
damn that looks much higher quality sushi than the AYCE sushi where i live
Gotta try it
Sushi I'm here ❤
Hope you like it
How is it AYCE if you only get 10 orders?
Its common to find this rule in a lot of ayce sushi restaurants with premium items.
💯💯💯
Go to hello sushi in Fullerton !!!!!!
A non-Japanese sushi chef? Preposterous!! 😂
Steve, squeeze some lemon juice in your soy sauce and dip ur sushi
