The large MCM was my tote through 2 yrs of grad school. Used to load with books and supplies. It looks brand new, now 3.5 yrs later. So sturdy, very strong, easy to hold, so nice!
I bet it is. It looks very sturdy but I cant stand the monogram all over the bag, I wish it comes with the plain one. Sad the YSL one looks floppy.

Like I don't even do LV monogram, but do their other print for that reason only. So, I get it. But hey, maybe see in person and that'll change, carry in the store. Obsessed with the Christian Louboutin Cabata tote! Ever since I watched your video for the first time yesterday, I am looking into the various styles and deciding which one to get. MCM is better quality period! LV just relies too much on tradition/hype over actual quality and practicality.
I love my Goyard totes because they aren’t everywhere, lightweight, weather friendly and are well made if you don’t load it down with heavy stuff.
Me too it is so light weight and love the little pouch that comes with it. Some wear on the corners after 10 years wear but a definite keeper

I have two and I love them much more than the Neverfull because they weigh nothing. Once I put all my stuff and keys in a bag, they are so heavy...but not the Goyards.
I have had a YSL shopping bag for the past five years, and still in excellent condition; I also bought it in Italy for 600 euros, way cheaper than its price now. I do, however, agree you can buy a better style for 900 euros or $1k.
Talk about it Sergio, the MCM tote is the bomb!!! Comes in several colors, reversible, the wristlet can be used as a shoulder/crossbody bag. The canvas is stronger and doesn’t peel at the rim! And much much cheaper! Love it!

Mcm liz is my favorite tote I own 6 of them in different sizes and colors since years and they still look new. Nobtarnished hardware or any other problem. I am very happy to see that others also consider MCM luxury despite the modest price point for luxury. Have a great day🥰😍❤️

@@nadinavas3981 I was unable to find the right insert, so I just got some nice catch-all bags for soecific purposes ie. one for make-up, one for my asthma inhaler, tylenol. Those Amazon ones are all made for Neverfulls

I liked this video idea Sergio! I prefer backpacks if I’m going to be carrying something that is larger but I do like mini totes like the little ones from Telfar and of course the Celine nano luggage tote 🥰 I’ve never been a huge fan of the Neverfull. I just find it very uninspiring and basic. So for such a basic shape on can get a fab contemporary option.
The Goyard Saint Louis GM current US price is $1580. I’ve been emailing a Goyard Boutique and just got the price.
I own a few Goyard bags and an LV neverful GM and let me tell you, the Goyard is far better quality than the LV. Got multiple colors in the St Louis GM, can’t tell the difference between the one I bought 15 years ago and the one I bought last year when it comes to wear and tear. The leather around the opening is still perfect unlike the LV neverful thats falling apart.
Maybe for you it’s ok bug the quality is not there.
My YSL totes are fine. I have dumped keys, books and laptops. But they are pretty sturdy. Didn’t get the scratches on the lining and my 3 year old navy tote still looks okay despite being dumped all around. All bought from the boutique on sale.

I actually have the GM On the Go in Empreinte Leather and it’s amazing! I do not regret it! I also be eeying the Fendi Sunshine Totes. I went to the Fendi Store and they look amazing and really spacious. Definitely on my Wish List.
But Now I wilk have to take a closer look at the Bottega Venetta tote it’s gorgeous and so different!

Great list Sergio! I agree with all your ratings. I have an LV Neverfull and an MCM Liz and your review is on point. I grab my MCM Tote before the LV for it’s durability. It also helps that she’s a gorgeous piece that ages better with time. I have many MCM pieces (a collection I guess 😂) and the quality is unmatched. I have my eye on the Louboutin tote! Thanks for that recommendation! 💛

I did a lot of research before I purchased my work bag Aka tote and I am sooooo happy I purchased my MCM LIZ tote in Medium size , that tote is a work horse , so VERY WELL made and the coated canvas is to thick and luxurious, best luxury tote ever made imo. I’ve had it for almost 3 years and it looks brand new , no wear on it at all and not to mention the pouch that comes with it is A-MAZING !!! The chloe small woody tote has a shearling version, it’s so pretty 🤩
I have the saint laurent tote, so durable. Have had it over a year n still looks brand new. Wear it daily. I wipe it down with leather conditioner for my car seats n it’s beautiful. The inside doesn’t scratch at all, it’s a raw leather suede. I would recommend wearing it with a purse organizer to keep the shape. I’m contemplating the Gucci jumbo GG ophidia tote, make a vid on that one please!!

Thank you for your experienced views, you are a true handbag connesseur!😃 My most used bag of 20 years is a Neverfull MM, its great for rainy/snowy climate. The Onthego is also very practical and durable, in canvas. Hermes Garden Party 36 is also a favourite, it fits loads. The best value and understated elegance is the Tory Burch Perry tote - its just lovely quality and design!❤️

I love my Neverfull MM & Goyard GM St. Louis Tote - these are my favorite totes! Can’t help myself. MCM is just not aesthetically appealing to me.
I love how the YSL tote looks. But I agree. I baby my bags. Used it twice and sold it. And I love YSL☹️ It hold up so badly! Woody will be my next purchase.

I’m a tote girl through and through and need it for my lifestyle. Was going to get a Neverfull this year but ran into the Gucci Ophidia tote when I was searching for another bag on the site and I LOVE it. I agree that it looks a bit classier and more upscale just due to the details than the Neverfull and this is coming from a die-hard Louis customer. It’s actually my fave luxury brand but I have to admit that Gucci’s tote is better.
I got the Ophidia tote two years ago when it first came out and I love it. I’m a tote girl and I always resisted the Neverfull because it is too common. The Ophidia tote won’t disappoint and it comes in different options now.

For a long time, as Chanel prices have risen, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy to have a LYXBAG as a travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one would have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.

My number one rule when I buy designer is no canvas for me I prefer 100 percent leather because I bought the Dior tote and was pissed because it’s just fabric and my friend has the knock off and looks the same if not better I was shocked. Same with the saint laurent tote I bought it then returned so many ppl get fakes and they look real . But leather bags always stand the test of time.

I love the MCM too. Neverfull is extremely strong though. I have a very old GM that I have loaded up with pottery and it’s been fine. Little talked about fact, Neverfull is also made to be reversible! I agree on the pouch, the MCM pouch is so much more useable. Thank you for another great vid.
I am glad you mentioned this… ya the LV NF is reversible too…. But I have yet to spot someone on the street wearing it that way LOL… maybe in a few years when we all want a change up. I love the NF. My favorite . So light, sturdy and always levels up an outfit 💕💕💕

I love my MCM tote. Great quality and can't go wrong with the price., I find myself using the clutch more than the actual bag because the Large tote is HUGE and definitely not an everyday bag

Plan on using this bag for my twin boys. They aren’t born yet so I can’t say how well this bag holds up but it did come just as pictured and seems very well made.
I got my Chloe woody tote in beige with black trim over Christmas and I lovvvve it! It’s totally year round cos I wore it all winter plus you can dress it up or down. I have worn it with black suits to work and with a summer maxi dress. I was concerned about fabric stain so I sprayed it with a fabric protector when I first got it. Awesome buy!

Hey! I used scotchgard. It did not stain but you have to be careful to spray evenly and lightly. 2-3 coats. Look up videos. Another plus is that I am yet to see someone in real life carrying this bag. It’s so fresh and unique and I get compliments on it every time I carry it. It’s not over-saturated yet like some other totes.

Goyard St Louis Tote is great if you already have other totes. But I love love mine and wear mine all the time. If I want more structure, the Amazon organizer gives it that. If I want more slouchy, i takeout the organizer. There’s something special about goyard but not a good work horse bag

I bought my LV Neverfull MM for $980 in 2012. Sold it to Fashionphile for $750 in 2021. So glad I sold it, was so tired of seeing it coming and going.

Thanks for this video Sergio :) MCM is phenomenal quality and they plate their gold hardware with real gold. And their black totes are nice. And correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the Gucci tote has a zipper which I think is a nice feature
I totally forgot about the mcm hardware and the Gucci tote does not have a zipper :( that would be a huge plus tho!!!

But yes it’s crazy how MCM is currently at a lower price point but at least have the decency to coat their gold hardware with real gold, like vintage Chanel days. I agree that the MCM Liz tote is well made versus the LV Neverfull . I have it and I have seen the MCM Liz tote in person, it is a great alternative and has structure than the Neverfull . I have the Neverfull that I purchased from years ago and I still love it . I cannot believe the price increase today on it.
I purchased the gucci ophidia tote last year because I always wanted a neverfull but was not willing to pay almost 2000 for the neverfull and for 1300 you really can't beat the price. I was able to get the ophidia and a gucci zip around wallet for right under $2000. Love the coated canvas, doesn't show tons of wear and tear, and isn't as commonly owned.

My daughter has the large black MCM tote which I love! I plan on purchasing the brown one, maybe in medium though my bags are usually a large.
It feels great, is sturdy (she’s a college student and throws EVERYTHING in it), the best price point and I love the gold emblem which I believe is actually plated in real gold. She doesn’t reverse hers but she gets a lot of wear out of the little mini bag. I want one!! Lol!!

I love my MCM Liz tote, I would never choose the LV neverfull as much as I enjoy LV. I’m so happy you mentioned the Louboutin i feel it’s so underrated but definitely quality, quality, quality. I wish the straps were a little bit longer for more comfort i tend to wear it on my forearm.

Love it! I recently got & love it! But it’s soooo nice & dressy plus worry about about using it with the leather. I’m more casual person but it’s still beautiful!
I have both the Neverfull Ebene Print and MCM Liz Tote in Black. I honestly reach for my MCM tote more because the Neverfull is so over-rated and too many ppl have it. Glad the MCM bag has your stamp of approval 💕.
